mpd68: I too lost some $$ on CKYS (Plant is a certifiable lunatic). Truly, live and learn.
I hope Klon is doing well, and would like to see him return to XKEM and this board.
Best of luck.
BDB
And Klon, are you there????
Please do NOT spam this board!
Thank you light for your valuable analysis. Have a good evening. BDB
Tryz: Both Alex (Kaki2) and Yellowdog are on board, and posted earlier today. :]
BDB
That's a good looking menu, BigD.
Nice to see you back in XKEMland, yellowdog. eom
Now THAT is funny!
It would be nice to get into the mid-.03's, and THEN get the next PR. The higher and more stable the base is before the zoom, the better.
BDB
mpd68: Yes, it is interesting to speculate. An announcement by President Obasanjo of a prepurchase agreement (to provide Nicosan to Nigeria's poor) could give his party a nice boost going into the April elections.
And wouldn't that be nice for Xechem also.
BDB
It's an interesting story, JoChef. For many years, I have played guitar in blues bands. One of my favorite blues' lyrics is "every woman needs a backdoor man." Well, I am a HUGE Chicago Bears' fan. So I put the two together and . . . well, it is kind of a stretch, but I like it.
It's fun hanging out here. I'm looking forward to the party.
BDB
Now, I will concur wholeheartedly in that compliment! eom
Thank you Fiat, but compared to the heavy hitters on this board, I am a midget. :]
Isd673: Thank you very much for keeping us up to date on the upcoming Nigerian elections. Obviously, not only the identity of the winner, but the manner in which he is elected, is of importance to Xechem.
BDB
Drift: I think the addition of Mr. Oniyide as Managing Director was a major step for Xechem. He will be a key in negotiating the prepurchase, getting support from the Nigerian SCD Foundation and Professor Akinyanju, working out distribution for Nicosan, etc.
Could be a very valuable team member.
That would be huge. eom
BigD: Of all of the upcoming events, I think that the Government prepurchase agreement -- which should ensure a stream of revenue to Xechem, and reaffirm the support of the Nigerian Government -- is one of the most important.
BDB
Tipped off? All Marge had to do was read this board for the past 10 days. The only question was whether the first PR was coming today, tomorrow, or Monday.
She may be selling tomorrow, but she hardly needed insider information to know what is coming.
Evening hinch.
I am tempted to sell some shares in a sleeping dog that I have been holding, so I can try to cram a few more XKEM shares into my little rowboat tomorrow.
Yeah . . . that sounds like a good idea. :]
OK, BigD, I think I understand. To avoid receiving only the 9% interest (if Xechem is able to pay off the note), the pps must hit the higher conversion rate within the one year period.
That could make for some very interesting trading (as the pps approaches the higher conversion rate).
BDB
OK BigD . . . I think I understand now. Question: Under the terms of the agreement, may Xechem pay off the principal balance and accrued interest on the new note prior to the expiration of the one year period, thereby terminating the right to convert at .02? (In which event, the borrower simply gets the 9% interest until the note is paid in full?)
easymoneyva: Why wouldn't the borrowers do better by keeping the pps beneath the optional high conversion rate, collecting the 9% interest for one year, and then converting (into far more shares) as the .02 (?) conversion rate. Then, the borrowers could try to maipulate the pps higher.
Please explain.
BDB
Perhaps we should invite a representative of Access Bank to the big party. We could play "pin the tail on the banker."
Next week, "next week" will be last week. :]
Well, so much for my theory that the first PR would be released Monday morning!
You nailed it, greenhornet1!!!!
I think you are correct BigD. The regulars on this board -- who have owned XKEM for months/years, and read this board on a daily basis -- are far more aware of what is coming than the general investment community. I agree that much of the buying over the past few days has been done by those regulars, and their friends and associates.
The real buying hasn't even begun.
Like hinch, I would love to see the pps approach .03 before the first blast is detonated.
Best of luck.
BDD
P.S. Can my five rounds be triples?
I think that the next PR will be released before the open next Monday (to maximize its effect).
C'mon monkey! Do it baby! Hey . . . somebody wake up that little fella.
That's right mets: Until the loan is funded, it is just a matter of opinion and speculation.
Same here, BigD. I figured that you and Drift know what you are talking about, and increased my position by 30% over the past ten days. :)
Congratulations Raven . . . a good omen!
All XKEM longs will be invited, rubco. (And all of their biker buddies.)
Welcome, rubco!
Probate is cheaper and faster than divorce.
If there is no PR before the opening, you might get a pretty good opportunity early in the am. I would like to snag a few more myself.
Good luck.
BDB
Actually, pakman, if BigD is paying for the drinks, his tab may be larger than Chassman's.
After the past year, I would expect some very serious, very thirsty XKEM investors.
BDB
I think she should pay for our travel expenses!
Larry: Were you able to pick up that additional 100K you were looking for?
BDB
