The scope of the program was targeted for 24 months.
The contract was awarded in May, 2012 on a 24 month project. There were delays (sequester?). Now we are moving along and could use an update...maybe when we hear about DEFORM.

If by chance you can make it, give us a post with an update if you can. Welcome to the board...should you go, have a safe trip.
Oh..and Sallardyce1 wants you to ask MC where's the contracts :)
That could certainly be asked at the meeting....
As do I....last year Alan went and reported back. Always nice to get a firsthand account.
Will anyone from the board be attending the shareholder's meeting?
If GE adopts this technology for critical parts such as the LEAP fuel nozzle, IMO some of our fantasies will become fact. Thx DWOL...nice weekend.
If we get even close to anywhere near this...

July 15, 2014...
WOW...six posts... The least I've seen in a long time. We must be #1 on the breakdown board :)
Great video....thx. Vivek Dave will also be out on the circuit this week.

Or possibly build more printrite3d systems for sale and distribution.
I can also see it. It is very competitive out there. This technology is beginning to show signs of reduced cost and an increase in bottom line. That's big. It's either get on board or miss the boat. And, many are not going to let that happen.
I agree...
Many here are well aware of what Morris did to upgrade those machines...

BLOCK TRADE (Microcap): $SGLB 100,000 shares @ $0.108 [11:48:55]
As of late, I've been reading about competitive type solutions. There is always competition out there for anything. But, what I have also noticed is the emphasis given by Sigma of their focus on critical parts. It seems that the devil is in the details. That could be why Dr. Dave made the comparison during the presentation between printing a critical part like a fuel nozzle and something simple like a cup (I think he said a cup but close enough). I also add this from the conference:
Vivek Dave:Regarding competition, there are others who manufacture sensors and process monitoring equipment. We are focusing on data analysis as well as the creation of actionable information, as well as the Big Data linkages that will allow for component certification, not just process monitoring.
Mark Cola also said "Our patents are all in the area of rapid
qualification and certification for production use"
Will their early work in this field and their collaboration with pioneers in the field give them a competitive advantage? It's a guess. But I add this:
Mark Cola:Regarding the PR3D systems we've delivered already, they are currently in test & evaluation at our customer sites and will remain in use as our customers transition into production during 2015.
That alone encourages me to stay the course. GL with your own personal views as this is JMHO.
Nice indeed...
They have 4.3 million in cash and equivalents and enough cash on hand to carry them into 2015 and beyond.
This was stated by Mark Cola during the Investor Retail Conference.
If you click on #6 in the references it will take you to the GE/Sigma Labs collaboration. The article also states [OEM equipment vendors, innovation-oriented small companies, and government research labs have current development programs][/quote]
This was an informative article. Being one step ahead at this point in the game can make all the difference.
However, I do find the fact that Mark said the systems that were already delivered "will remain in use as our customers transition into production during 2015" to be a telling sign.
Mark Cola:Regarding the PR3D systems we've delivered already, they are currently in test & evaluation at our customer sites and will remain in use as our customers transition into production during 2015.
Vivek Dave:We are in discussions with current INSPECT customers now.
I heard what I wanted to hear from this conference.
It is my belief that there are 3 systems at GE and one is in support of Honeywell/DARPA. Where's the money? That is the golden question and I hope we find out soon.
That's exactly what I'm talking about. It's time for them to start naming names.
It is for that very reason I would like for them to now disclose the name of the leading International Aerospace company that those 2 systems were delivered to for test and evaluation in December.
Always good to know what's flyin around out there...

Thx Dad but there are many here on this board that have not been in the red since this stock reached .02. And, anytime one is in early on an R&D co. like this and they reach a significant milestone ON TIME, its something to get excited about.
