Good of Joe to admit when he his wrong, now I am sure Oily will "man up" and admit he was wrong as well.....yeah right.
And not to be discounted, my wife said this is the first time she has felt really confident that this is going to happen. Certainly got me off the hook. lol

As a matter of fact, lets all kick in another 100k shares, and go for a seat on BOD. lol
Would it be to much to ask for to close the day at .30 or better?
Good work Mag, much appreciated.
I don't know about warm and fuzzy, but its close. Almost sounds like this investigation might be wrapping up and they'll start srtuting their stuff, so to speak. From where we've come from, this is truly a breath of fresh air.
Family & friends 2 mil, give or take.
Agreed, one thing that WB wanted to do was to take the Nigerain face of this. Is it fair? Probably not but certainly good business. I thought the cc was a "buzz kill" considering all of the speculation that has been going around.
NO entity has approached to discuss a buy-in or buy-out. (This I found hard to believe - matter of fact, I don't believe it
Apparently ole Peter is out of the loop. lol
Funny though how he answered it, " I am not aware"; why not unequivocally, NO.
By far and away the most important thing that was said.
Is he readin from the text?
ledbetters not here?
I was hoping for more of a feeding frenzy. Still early in the day however.
Interesting that Oily says buyin and Offer distancing himself. I would have thought buyout and Offer giving ERHE some elbow room. I am rooting for the buyin unless the buyout is for $10 plus.
Does anyone think that the DOJ have enough on Offer to put him in jail? I couldn't imagine that in my wildest dreams. If its a $1.50, I would think it would be for a buy in. I can't help but agree with BB. He could have taken a $1.50 many moons ago.
If a buck fifty is all that we get, then I say cograts to the people who bought it last week near the bottom. Even better if they never heard of or followed this security, day in/ day out for the last 41/2 years. I will feel royally screwed if that's what we end up with. I hope that Electic is as wrong with his predction as most everyone else has.
All I know is that the Tuesday feels like a fortnight away. lol
So the question is; which would make everyone the happiest? I think that the idea of ERHE of becoming an independant energy company are history. I like the idea of a merger and then a buyout by one of the majors (CVX, XOM etc) Or will it be that Offor had to sell because DOJ, SEC has him by the short hairs, and makes him take a low ball offer.
Does anybody think that Tuesday we will start to get an inkling as far as which scenario plays out best?
Another good question for the cc on Tuesday.
Ruby is that from "E"?
What if the announcement we are all waiting for is that the company approved an additional 200 million shares. This way Offer doesn't have to sell any shares at all and a company like Addax can start buying the float on the open market. If the oil is estimated to be a lot higher then the original 14 billion, the additional shares might seem like pittance for the dollar potential. Maybe Oily is right and there are "secret" drill ships out there and they know or a have better idea of exactly what kind of potential there really is. I remember the last time the company approved additional shares the pps had a nice increase
Erhe will have to be "recreated" before CVX will touch them IMO. All the bad press that this company has unjustly gotten would not pass the smell test by the shareholders of CVX. In my mind the best scenario would be a buy in by Addax, a new company name and then have an all out bidding war between CVX and Sinopec. In my dreams. lol
Lucae?
The market is still tentative about this IMO. This is the first step for a buy in. If this is indeed whats going to be happening the price would be through the roof rignt now. But like everything else this was held pretty close to the vest.
Dan Keeney's remarks the other day about the cc were to allay the concerns of the ivestors and to quash the rumors. Where's the rumor mill today? Like a lot of people here, I defiantley think that there will be some major news before Tuesday.
I think they well in advance. Don't be surprised if there is more news between now and 8/21. IMO
Good stuff, thanks for sharing.
Stuck in the twilight zone, so to speak. Something is telling me to sell, and take a horrible loss, or succumb to irrational exuberance and buy more. I am strangely attracted to the latter.
Can you post it here please?
Anyone still out there that believe's the cc will be about 3rd quarter? ERHE's pr was a subtle message to the shareholders, "we are not going anywhere" IMHO.
Bigger spread; bid .26, ask .28. Maybe its time for them to walk it up.
You were missed, good to see you back.
Are Hedge Funds considered institutions?
Looks like a buy to me. Wish I had the cash and cajones!
If indeed anyone here is really connected, we should start hearing the rumor cranking up again in the near future.
Agree 100%. For this company which has been stoically quiet, especially in the current "chit storm" that they have been in, to have this cc, is great news as far as I am concerned.
With all the heat that's on the company, I would imagine that maybe someone from one of the two crackerjack law firms that they have representing them, might have something to say, if they could lesve themselves exposed in any way whatsoever.
Looking forward to the 21st.
Wasn't Offer instrumental in setting the wheels in motion in creation of the treaty?
"What initially began as a maritime boundary dispute that proved grave to the peaceful co-existence of the two countries following claims and counter claims on the area of overlapping maritime boundaries of the two countries reached a consensus to jointly pursue the exploitation of the natural resources and the development of the area overlapping the contentious maritime boundary"
"There are a few points that I would like to emphasize. ERHC’s rights in the JDZ, as well as those granted to other companies, were recognized by the Joint Development Authority pursuant to the terms of the treaty establishing the JDZ, which was ratified by the governments of Nigeria and Sao Tome & Principe. Our position is that the circumstances during the past decade – including numerous concessions and renegotiations on our part – led to development rights in the JDZ being legitimately awarded to ERHC."
IMHO, something that should have been said a long time ago. Notice it was ratified by Nigeria and STP, I missed where homeland security was in on it.
Mr. Ledbetter could have found at least 40 prospective sites by now. A consulting company could represent ERHC at the partners meetings
Question; Why would Ledbetter waste his time with a dead end assignment. Up until now, for all reported news, he has a stellar resume. I can't imagine a top projects manager for Aramco jumping ship for "window dressing" for a company without a vision or direction.
