Israeli Attack on Iran Likely, Pentagon Official Tells ABC News
By Thomas Penny
July 1 (Bloomberg) -- Israel is increasingly likely to attack Iran's nuclear facilities this year, ABC News reported, citing an unidentified Pentagon official.
The strike could be triggered by the production of enough enriched uranium at Iran's Natanz nuclear facility to make a weapon, ABC cited the official as saying. The second possible trigger for an attack would be the delivery of a Russian SA-20 air defense system, the installation of which would make an Israeli attack more difficult, the official told ABC.
Pentagon officials say a strike on Natanz would only temporarily damage Iran's nuclear program and could spark a wave of attacks on U.S. interests, ABC said. The officials said an Israeli air force exercise last month was carried out to prepare for an attack, the network reported.
Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, was in Israel last weekend for meetings with Israeli military leaders, ABC said.
Israeli Defense Ministry spokesman Shlomo Dror, in a telephone interview from Tel Aviv, declined to comment today on the ABC report.

I'm flemish. A region in Belgium. So my english is not always that good .
I wanted to say that it's not only the experts that know what's going on. I had the feeling when I listened to Le Coz, that I already heard the story. Think we have a very knowledable group here.
Financials r duped. Isnt the word duped : dead ?
What's that with RBS calling for humongoes chart breakdown ?
Talked to investment firm Carmignac. Eric Le Coz (watch their perfomance). They r basically laughing at inflation. Non structural. Saying oil will come down. Financials r duped.
Short commodities for short term. It could have been one of our posters talking.

Isnt it a contradiction to be short Q's via QID and long AAPL ?
Sonus: Cantor Nudges Estimates, Target Higher
Sonus Networks (SONS) shares are modestly higher this morning after Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Edward Jackson repeated his Buy rating on the stock, bumping up his price target to $5 from $4.50, and slightly raising estimates.
“We have spoken with numerous industry contracts during the past three weeks and we sense little weakness in the company’s addressable market,” Jackson asserted in a note this morning. He bumped up his 2008 revenue estimate to $369 million from $363.2 million; his EPS estimate for the year goes to 12 cents from 11 cents. For 2009, he goes to $442.4 million and 16 cents, from $435.9 million and 15 cents.
SONS this morning is up 12 cents, or 2.8%, to $4.47.
Thanks. But longer term, many of them will go broke. Unless they put Photovoltaic cells of STP on their wings, wich would make Fletch very happy
Have you seen those very high RIMM targets (200 and 200+)

Goldman Sachs initiates Riverbed Technology with 'Sell,' sees market share as flattened out
NEW YORK (AP) -- An analyst initiated coverage of Riverbed Technology Inc. late Monday with the lowest possible rating, saying the network technology maker's market share has likely flattened out.
Goldman Sachs analyst Simona Jankowski rates the San Francisco-based company "Sell" and added it to her Americas Sell List.

The WAN optimization market, a key area for the company, will likely grow less than below Wall Street expects, she said.
Desktop virtualization software is likely zapping growth, as the technology reduces traffic over WANs, or wide area networks, said Jankowski, who also noted competition remains a concern.
Virtualization software allows a single computer to operate like multiple machines, allowing companies to spend less on equipment and energy in their data centers.
Jankowski's $15 price target implies she expects the stock to slip 12 percent from Monday's $17.10 close.
So far this year, the stock has shed 36 percent of its value.
A company spokesperson was not immediately available to comment.

What to do ? Buying ? Or waiting for a pullback. I'm saying : waiting
Well well. Should be at 40 soon. That will pay for the dipers.
