DSNY has updated the videos since yesterday.
One video had an 'optimizing connection' message. Another used 'optimizing quality' instead of 'redetecting connection speed'.
So far not much else has changed.
Very nice find vl39. I didn't know I am in the slow lane on the internet. My speed is 1.5 Mbps.
The only issue is that many videos I usually view online are better quality than the standard video I see on the showcase.
sons1, I do not think brooklyn13 is a basher.
IMO - A skeptic, unhappy shareholder only.
I do not believe most US shareholders can short DSNY stock. There is no reason to bash unless you are a trader who want the share price to fall so that you can buy more.
Even ANYDAYNOW is not really bashing when you compare to other stock boards. Destiny is hard to bash at this price and value.
I think everyone is seeing what we see on the showcase. Maybe DSNY has a non-public system that offers better HD speeds.
However, it will all be improving. I think their detection process needs to be improved as does their video hosting resources.
Steve says the spelling of connection with three n's will be fixed in the next update - soon. So we can re-test HD issues after that.
I asked for a Sound / Mute button.
Steve said that the phone and tablets can't use a sound control on the screen so they did not put one on screen. He said DSNY should add one for PC users.
I think this was a dumb omission.
As far as video quality, I get a bad connection almost always. The videos run fine in lower quality mode. A couple of times a video starts in HD mode but it has trouble stalling, so the software does a detection again and shifts to lower quality mode.
Most of my connections should be at a standard T1 service, so I do not know why the connections are always poor.
I wonder if it is on DSNY's end - with an underpowered video web server.
Mr Dale. You are mixing issues.
Reverse Splits do not change the value of the company.
Poorly managed companies that issue shares by the millions use R/S to fix their outstanding share problem. This is a very bad sign. The R/S does not fix a company who starts to issue shares again after the reverse split. All investors should shun those companies. They are the ones who need 1 for 5000 share reverse splits.
In Destiny's case, at worst, a 1 for 3 split would suffice to push the share price over $2 - 3. However, they do not need it if they seize this opportunity with Clipstream G2.
Trading Volume is way up today. 440,000 already.
I am not wanting more future bells and whistles. If the company is solid, then invest in the stock.
Hello Steve. It is time for a DSNY buyback purchase of 500,000 shares.
DSNY has the cash from the August Quarter.
The best revenue quarter just finished, so they have even more cash.
New customers will start ordering the Clipstream G2 version soon.
In reviewing Brightcove as a competitor, I read their recent announcement for the 2013 PLAY conference.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/announcing-3rd-annual-brightcove-play-170000845.html
Look at the list of Attending Companies and Partners. Most those companies are potential Clipstream G2 customers once the release of G2 occurs.
Easy pickens to get many of those companies onto Clipstream G2 in 2013.
Mercedes, my best guess is capital gains selling in December. Also, sell on news strategy for some big holders of DSNY shares.
The news readers will either pick up the slack this week or the shares may drift lower for a few days.
Several recent articles publish in 2012 from SLP scientists.

Several November and October articles. The topics are too complex to discuss easily here.
Are you saying that huge profits equals sound management?
Did you happen to watch 60 minutes this weekend? The segment on Health Management Associates would parallel your argument. They are under investigation by the Feds for steering doctors and hospital administrators to bill unnecessary medical procedures. If medicare fraud is proven, then the CEO and other executives could spend their future vacations in Club Fed.
The music industry was going digital anyway, the music distribution costs were coming down. Destiny is leading the way with technology.
March 2013 Boston ADMET Course Description.
http://www.simulations-plus.com/workshop.aspx?eID=1
'This two-day, hands on training course will focus on the use of state-of-the-art cheminformatics and machine-learning software for de novo design and optimization of preclinical candidates that have both good target potency and acceptable ADMET properties. Attendees will be guided through a drug discovery and lead optimization process that begins with high throughput screening data and ends with candidates ready to enter preclinical animal studies.'
I like the sound of this:
'machine-learning software for de novo design and optimization of preclinical candidates'
ANYDAYNOW, This agreement was in pre-Flash days.
When Adobe released FLASH and Youtube created web videos, the Clipstream G1 product suffered. You are holding Destiny accountable for 7 year old agreements as evidence of poor management despite the 2008 market collapse with the downfall of Lehman Brothers (a 100 year old company) and others.
Destiny is thriving pretty well due to their sound management against Adobe and other music competitors.
Brightcove seems like a competitor at the moment since they seem to broadcast the same claims as Destiny.
I think they bought Zencoder to make sure they control the low end of the market as well as up-sell those customers. Oracle did the same thing with the MySQL database company.
Since Brightcove is a public company (BCOV) with a nearly $10 stock price, we can compare their fundamentals with Destiny pretty easily. Both companies are debt-free.
I think Destiny is a threat to Brightcove, so I do not see them willingly using Clipstream as an encoder system. If Clipstream splits the javascript video market with Brightcove, Destiny investors will be very happy.
The videojs solution was authored by Zencoder. Zencoder was purchased by Brightcove to be a video encoding service.
The open source code may be free, but this is not a free cost service for everyone creating videos and streaming videos.
http://zencoder.com/pricing/
This may be a competitor to Clipstream G2. DSNY has more control over their solution to tailor it to commercial markets that an open source solution can't do.
Destiny security patents will also provide Destiny an advantage. Since the seven patents filed this year, we do not know how those patents further protect Destiny.
No - that is an Employee Purchase.
I am referring to a company stock buyback that was in place last year (all of 2011). Once the stock jumped, DSNY probably decided the stock was not as undervalued as before - so they kept the funds for software development.
DSNY had a buyback policy in place up to 80 cents per share.
They bought back shares below 50 cents but not since then.
Somebody stop me...4500 at 73.5 cents.
Who would be selling today at 73 cents?
I need to send you a Thank You card.
I was referring to your post.
'Talk about genius i own a boat load of DSNY too
Not long ago i pickes up 30.000 shares at .98
looking good
ANYDAYNOW
Maybe Friday'
Deleted my message.
she is ztockings.
They haven't arrived at their offices yet.
It is not even 8am PST. Coffee and Crumpets are required first.
I am not making excuses - only explanations.
Look at the probable facts.
If they put the videos on their own server farm, they can could overload their server farm which may also host PlayMPE services.
Or,
they can put their videos on another server farm and pay for that service.
DSNY's video competitors want Destiny's solution to under perform. Their competitors could be overloading the servers with automated programs to play the videos repeatedly.
I can't explain the current speed analysis unless I compare it to other systems. I can usually view High-Definition videos on other systems pretty well. However, the server farms that host these videos may be very large.
The current server limits or speed limits on these videos does not both me right now. The potential users of the Clipstream G2 system will have their own server farms.
If you do not like this company - please sell your stock. There are quite a few buyers who will buy your shares.
vl39, I think the algorithm for speed favors DSNY right now.
My connection speeds mostly seem to report Bad connection, so I see a low resolution video. DSNY may have set their program to favor low grade conditions over Hi-Def videos so they do not overwhelm their servers for the early demonstrations.
There is nothing to do along the Kansas / Missouri state line.
We already have a future plan for Las Vegas when DSNY hits $10.
G2 is working well. I like the Clipstream promo video.
Yes. Steve said that they have watermark business opportunities. However, their current staff is fairly full up with PlayMPE and Clipstream G2 projects in the current year.
They are talking to a couple of potential partners about taking on the watermark licensing opportunities. No company names were mentioned.
Mercedes, I should conclude my statements.
When I buy and sell DSNY with Schwab, I use a price that matches the OTC Market quoted prices. Schwab always fills my price, but they seem to go out the the OTC market to fill my orders at my specific price.
I just wanted to make some others aware of my issue with Schwab.
I think you got a great buy on shares today.
I also think that Schwab plays games with the buy and sell trades on OTC shares from their own internal stock of shares - then refills their stock.
I found the same problem with GigOptix last year when they were an OTC stock, but the problem disappeared when they moved to AMEX.
I haven't seen a problem with really cheap shares, but maybe that is because the fraction that they shave off is so small that I can not see it.
That is why I asked. I use Schwab too.
However, the Schwab quote prices are not accurate - usually higher than the market by 1-2 cents.
I trust Schwab for every quote except DSNY. Their position page values are different than their quick quote tool. Neither is accurate to otcmarkets or yahoo or google/finance
You should check out the comparatives to www.otcmarkets.com
This is the OTC market hub system with level 2 quotes for DSNY.
I like the Direct Customer Promotional Sample program.
Every music artist website will want to offer the same freebies that other music artists offer. The sample that they give out is a PlayMPE encoded file that will only play until the artists album is released.
This is a new program that I have not heard before. This is a very creative solution that uses PlayMPE secure features and Destiny patents.
The price jumped to 77 cents on 10k shares.
That must have been you, mercedes.
mercedes, Did you pay 77 cents today?
The current OTC market website says the day high is 75 cents.
Which broker do you use?
Only 48,000 shares traded at low prices.
While the shares are cheap, the buyers maybe the desperate buyers who cashed out of DSNY over 80 cents.
We all need patience. DSNY is profitable. The best quarter of the year is officially over today - earnings will be reported in January.
How big is the Malaria Infection problem?
'The CDC estimates that there are 300-500 million cases of malaria each year, and more than 1 million people die from it.'
The current drug treatment recommend 48-96 hours of medication at a cost of $2 to $9 depending on the type of malaria and the drugs used.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001646/
Still profitable despite big R&D Expenses.
Since Q4 is the weakest sales quarter, the roughly flat revenues isn't unexpected.
I want to see the quarter numbers broken out. Those are the only comparable quarters that show the Play MPE v4 vs v5 operations.
Maybe a part-time job would solve your problem:)
Very funny. Maybe because the whining investors are still flipping burgers at their part-time, lunch rush day job.
