I can vouch that Mike Sheppard is what is said about him in the press release. He is a highly ethical, devout christian. I would not believe him capable of deception of any kind. He has worked in the past as a much respected speaker and motivator to business peoples looking to grow and improve upon their business models. So he knows business. I know him to be a man of sound judgement and great frugality (a character trait he passed on and taught his son), and he has determined himself to become the single largest shareholder of NMC stock. He has not done that based upon upon anything other than prudent business principle I can assure you, and he certainly has "seen" all the evidence.
I know the mining industry is rife with the possibility of error in assay reports, but I also know the Sarbanes/Oxley act creates a new era of personal responsibility for CEOs. Mike Sheppard is not going to sign off, and make himself vulnerable to legal consequences in any measure just to get an audit report approved or for that matter to knowingly deceive anyone.
I, myself, have not been to Skull Valley, but other family members have, and they have seen and held the "worthless dirt" dore' bars. One may question the assays of the past, but those upon which any financials are reported that are signed off by Michael Sheppard are not subject to dispute, because among other reasons, even the auditing company is liable for the accuracy of the audit. So WHEN the audit is fully available, I believe with all the good trust and faith that I hold in my personal relationship with Mike Sheppard that it is and will be "as good as gold".
In mid-January a major investing consortium is going to be touring the skull valley facilities. These investors are serious people & they would not be invited, and they would not come to a "sham".
There are quite a few things that can be done and will be done to uphold shareholder value until the SEC filing is achieved. Going forward those who will make a wonderful return on their investment in this company will accept the risks of awaiting proven "repentance" for past misdoings.
Those who will not get outside the box of linear progressions projecting forward past behaviours will miss the oppurtunity. What I do not understand is if they are convinced this stock is worthless why don't they move on to other pursuits of oppurtunities? Who are they seeking to convince with their opinions if not themselves? If I were negative on this stock that would be the end of it for me, I would not seek to convince others.
I am not seeking to convince others positively about this stock either. I have made a determination that works for me. The marketplace is a vehicle for persons to place their money where their mouth is, and once having done that the market determines right or wrong.
I came to and checked out this "board" because I wanted (given the oppurtunity) to stand up for Mike Sheppard, personally. What this company has needed as much as anything else is credibility. This forum is still struggling with the question of credibility. Ultimately, I can only report that based on my personal knowledge of Mike Sheppard I have been willing to place the single largest bet of my life on NMC's future (initially)solely because Mike Sheppard is wholly credible to me.
