Did I miss something? Was Monday the "peak" of the Energy market? And if a trader were to exit now, would he end up selling at the low of this "correction" on the way to new highs?
AVN_u.TO closed down 1 cent, middle of the range. High is 18.15, closed at 18.09 vs all-time high of 18.42. (Canadian - convert to USD)
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=avn_u.to
Best close (so far) is SC, down 3 cents to 42.00; CEO and PTR down a lot. PTR is the lowest close so far: down 1.35 points to 52.25, a loss of 2.52% on the day.
Now up 30 cents on PKZ. (NVEC has to rise 90 cents to make me even.)
Down 25 cents on 200 shares of PKZ so far.
Zeev - Own 200 shares NVEC at 39.50. Now what do I do? Buy more at 35?
Bought 200 shares PKZ at 29.40. (Still have NVEC buy at 39.50 unfilled as of 11:35.)
Zeev - Still have an order to buy NVEC at 39.50. Should I cancel? (Another day might take it down several points.)
Read article on Shell in the Econmist today. As long as SC stays above my "Buy" at 41.06, I'll keep it.

(Think you can get a copy of this article on the Yahoo "SC" page, but I'm not certain.)
Trying 39.50 "buy" on NVEC.
MRK now just 2 points higher than CELG. (Effect of lawsuit...?)
Zeev - Missed your message on NVEC (my computer was down). I'll read it now...
State of Pennsylvia Attorney General files lawsuits against 13 Drug Companies, charging "overpricing, etc". (Is that one reason for the swoon?)
Zeev - What's going on with NVEC? Up as much as 4 points. Is this a buy now? (NVEC up 2.81 points to 40.51)
Exxon (XOM) hit an all-time high again (got as high as 43.40). Meeting ongoing...
XOM hit a new high today (43.17); BR (added at 47.50 by selling XOM) now at 61.25, short of a new high by 1.50 points.
Chinese oils are mixed: CEO is unchanged at 42.26; PTR is down 33 cents at 53.27.
Silver up to $7.15; Platinum reaches a 20-year high at $909.25.
Nikkei is down 98.80 to 11433.24 (-0.9%); Hang Seng is down 183 to 13214.20 (-1.4%); FSTE is down 10 to 4532.00 (-0.2%); DAX is down 31.18 to 4056.37 (-0.8%).
Good morning! Chinese Oils finished mixed: CEO unchanged at 42.46; PTR is down 1.76% to 52.25.
Best Major Oil today - PBR. (Up 1.66% to 33.70.)
Chinese Oils closed up - very slightly. CEO up 1 cent; PTR did better. (Up 18 cents at 53.60.) Compare with XOM, up 22 cents to 42.78.
MDCO vs BSX - MDCO much better. (You can explain why later...)
Idle talk about "downgrades" hurt COP. It's down exactly 1 penny. (I was prepared to add more under 70.)
PEET - It's now below 21. (20 was a misprint.)
PEET - Came within 0.001 cents of selling yesterday at 21.70. It's now below 20!
"The Power of Election-Year Perceptions"
http://www.thestreet.com/p/pf/rmoney/christopheredmondsrm/10147753.html
Article posted 45 minutes ago by Chris Edmonds at Real Money discusses negative "perceptions" among energy companies if the Democratic candidate is elected president. Get a free copy at the "COP" page at Yahoo.
PKZ now negative - by 6 cents -- current quote 31.06 (- 06 cents). Another dollar down and I'll buy it.
PBR now up 2.71% at 34.05 - Beats XOM by a long mile. (Pays more, too.)
Best Oil gainer so far is PBR, up 1.65% from yesterday's close. (33.70 + 1.65%). Still trying for PKZ...
PKZ still up 1.4% at 31.45. Down from it's high at 32.38. (Be patient.)
Oil and Gas stocks hit their highs about 30 minutes ago. Now moving lower across the board. PKZ is still up 2% but entering a "buy" area at 30. (I'll take a few hundred shares.)
Two foreign oils (PBR and PTR) are up an average of 1.5%; BP and SC are down fractionally. Most U.S. holdings are down slightly. ECA and AVN_u.TO are up again.
Best I can do is PTR, up 1.80% to 54.38. Other oil stocks moving up.
PTR is up 1.03 to 54.45.
European Oil stocks are down today. Don't know how North American oil stocks will trade, but I'm prepared to "take some money" off the table.
Hang Seng down 1.3%; Nikkei is up 0.3%.
FSTE down 0.41%, DAX down 1.04%, France down 0.92%.
Hang Seng is down about 1%. Will have an exact figure in about 15 minutes. FSTE and DAX are currenlty down about 0.5% each, led by technology.
Good morning! My ticker shows no change in CEO and PTR. Even PBR (next to Argentina but very far, culturally) shows no change. I'll watch PBR for signs of weakness.
