I'm still very intrigued by Katchers tweet today. There is no mention of Dell in the meeting and Katcher is looking for ways for Sphere to help Google! We just partnered with Microsoft for education and apps for Azure, now Google is knocking at the door looking for our help!
Hard to believe were talking about shorts, naked shorts and PT's past when we should be talking about how HUGE these opportunities are. Hopefully soon we'll be past all this because from my point of view management is performing in stealth mode!
Great things are happening buy low and hold on!!
These statements are coming from Google and Microsoft not from Sphere!!

Great article, finally some commonsense! I think we can all agree on this part :)
"Sphere 3D Has A Large Upside ; While suffering some headwinds from shorts and financial distress from a large shareholder, Sphere 3D shares now have a very favorable risk/reward ratio.
A flurry of new deals, market inroads for their most promising virtualization solution Glassware, and a financial turn around provide chances for a very significant upside."
We are way past that stuff imo! Seriously, anyone who is long and has a ton of money invested, contact IR or management to get this stuff answered. No one on the board knows anything about it. I've talked to PT three times, great guy and very professional. He and EK are shareholder friendly and would be willing to discuss whatever issues you have.
Here's somemore DD for you, tell me if you see a pattern between Microsoft and google??? This was last years article, the last sentence says should Microsoft be worried? Well see the most recent Microsoft/Sphere PR that states they have now partnered for education....the question today is should Google be worried!
Katcher joining the Monday meeting with Sphere should answer that question!
A very nice problem for Sphere to be in :)))))))
And for Chesterfield County Schools, one of the country's 100 largest school systems, it means securing the best teaching materials and technology to greet students when they return to school next year -- including 32,000 new Chromebooks", says Jason Katcher, Head of North America Large Customer Education Sales, Google.
Katcher further says, "after testing and assessing the devices, Chesterfield selected Chromebooks for all 32,475 middle and high school students. What's especially remarkable is that they were able to move to Chromebooks with existing funds -- without requesting additional budget, since Chromebooks are nearly half the cost of PC desktops and laptop alternatives. Chesterfield also saved by reducing the amount of classroom peripheral devices such as interactive whiteboards, which they could replace with web-based tools. They selected Dell Chromebooks with local partner TIG, who committed to provide training and support for the journey to ensure students, teachers and administrators could take full advantage of the many benefits of the new technology".
Apparently, the school district was able to save quite a bit of money by going with Chrome OS over Windows. Luckily, they chose Dell Chromebooks which are considered to be of better quality than many low-cost offerings by other manufacturers. So far, this is Google's biggest deployment, and it will certainly not be the last.
Should Microsoft be worried? Tell me in the comments.
Do somemore homework before you copy and paste trash please. CCPS is using the Dell servers that Glassware is embedded so the deal is through deal not Sphere. But thanks for the post because now it looks like they are working with Sphere by themselves for more services, sweet..that's new and great info!! Do you think Sphere put Glassware on the server for free, lol----some people go to jail for the stunts that these shorts are pulling!
Hmmm, could that be doctored at all???
To overcome the challenges, CCPS has partnered with Mississauga, Ontario–based Sphere 3D, developers of Glassware 2.0, to provide Windows application hosting services. Sphere 3D provides Glassware 2.0 as an appliance-based hosting platform for installation either within a customer’s data center or as a cloud hosting solution offered by service providers. Sphere 3D company V3 Systems was one of the pioneers of high-performance VDI appliances, so it is to be expected that it knows how to make this approach work.
http://www.virtualizationpractice.com/chesterfield-county-schools-turn-sphere-3d-windows-chromebooks-27278/
Through Dell, Google has sold more than 42,000 Chromebooks preinstalled with Chrome OS and Sphere 3D's Glassware cloud platform that is specifically fine-tuned for educational purposes in Chesterfield County and Texas school districts. Because there are approximately 49.8 million K-12 students, 98,300 public schools and 13,600 public school districts in the U.S alone, Google stands to benefit enormously if it can seize a huge portion of the education pie traditionally serviced by Wintel-based computers from Microsoft. Google's desire for Sphere 3D's technologies is blatantly evident from tweets with open endorsements of Sphere 3D by its top education executive, Jason Katcher (see his recent tweets here, here and here), and accumulation of the company's shares. Jason's fondness of Sphere 3D may stem from his respectful passion of using new technologies to revolutionize kids' learning experiences, as he explained during a presentation to students at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.
Actually I was very please that they tweeted it, I wouldn't expect Microsoft to put any PR's out about this relationship especially when your competing with Google for Glassware's services. I would guess Microsoft tried to get Sphere not to announce it but of course that wasn't going to happen. It's crystal clear the Microsoft news woke up Mr Katcher who is now getting more involved per his tweet about joining the meeting between Sphere's rep and Google's Texas rep!
The shorts can harp on the past with Overland/V3/Tangberg but that past is the past and the future is in the link below! We know these combine companies are attacking many of these future trends!
The future, see how many future trends Sphere can take advantage of with their products from Overland/V3/Tangberg/Sphere!

Agree, reading the article confirms my belief in Sphere! Facts are facts and old data in previous markets is per BS. Them attacking the Corel deal is where they prove they truly have no clue what's going on they are reaching for straws! This type of article actually proves that they are in trouble and should backfire as Sphere's fundamental prove everything they write to be wrong!
Google meeting with Sphere on Monday, how sweet is it when you have Google and Microsoft vying for Sphere Glassware product, these are FACTS!!!
How much is Glassware worth to both these companies??? Bidding war could get real interesting!!

See my email on the other board if you can, I cannot PM here.
I'm telling this Corel nonsense is per nonsense...management made the right decisions at that time and it will be proven one day for us shareholders! That is crystal clear after speaking with PT and seeing what the company has done over the last year! Execution has been darn new perfect, Corel isn't going anywhere believe me they can benefit from Glassware later!!
Yes, Peter tweeted 13 hours ago. It may be you have to pay for the article unlike this free seeking alpha BS...John Abbott is a professional!!
Trust your DD, that is all that can be said, if not sell and move on! These facts are very clear and some here question them daily. My guess these are people looking to make a quick buck and it didn't work out, UBOL knows what we own!
PS: I talked to PT about 6 months ago regarding Corel, very simple answer they were sticking to there game plan. He couldn't say more obviously but the game plan was bigger fish, Dell, Microsoft, Google, Ericsson etc....This corel deal was to sell Apps to consumers, back then chump change compared to setting up major deal with the companies above.
Corel talks were prior to the vision for V3/Overland/Tangberg, management vision has been spot on. They can go back with Corel at any point and continue if they desire at a later date. When bigger fish come a knocking you put that deal on the back burner.
The shorts will always use it against Sphere but think about it before you read the garbage, is there more money to be made selling apps to consumers through Coral or partnering with Microsoft, Dell, Novarad, Google, etc, etc?????
LOL, here we go again one final attempt before the end game! Wouldn't waste my time reading that garbage, Corel was over 2 years ago...Moving from Corel to Dell, Microsoft and Google, I'll take it:))))
Don't see it did you write it this morning?
The choice is yours read this article John Abbott a professional or some desparate short who gets his garbage approved on seeking alpha. No brainer for someone who seems they've been around the block investing.

Has ANYone had a chance to read this report? The titles sounds very interesting and could answer many questions relating to Overland/Tangberg/V3/Sphere.
One thing for sure is Sphere is starting to pop on more and more radar, articles and partners....must really make that 1.2 million shorted shares feel good :) Gut says we see some covering bigtime in the next two weeks, JMO!

Sphere 3D Corporation, whose Glassware 2.0 Windows container technology for application delivery simplifies IT infrastructure, has collaborated with Microsoft to support Glassware 2.0 on Microsoft Azure. The move means organizations now have the tools to make cloud migration of Windows-based, end-user computing applications from physical infrastructure to Azure even easier and faster.
"We are committed to providing our customers with new and innovative ways to implement their cloud strategy," said Vibhor Kapoor, Director of Microsoft Azure Product Marketing. "By working closely with Sphere 3D, we are able to continue to deliver on that commitment and provide a new level of flexibility for organizations looking for scalable application delivery from the cloud."

Then I agree with you! :) eom
Zero urgency to buy right now, so ANYone accumulating can sit on the bid and very few shares move the stock up and down. I formed a love/hate relationship with low float stocks :) Love them when they go up!
My only guess is to why there is no buying is people get a little nervous before any earnings report, talked to a friend yesterday that was holding off adding because he's been hurt buying before earnings. We'll see what happens next Tuesday, those who like what they see and hear will become buyers!
This float is so low that 28000 shares has moved this .15 down, once this things wakes up and buyers come in imagine how fast it can go up! My guess we will get some new buyers, I hope some analyst coverage which is always done after earnings. Wish I had more cash today :)
Sounds like enough time to continue to drive the price down before covering if that is what's going to happen. Next week is when it's going to get interesting! IMO, the future potentional revs from our Microsoft relationship would give us the $180 market cap today. Very limited downside here IMO!
Thanks for clearing and cleaning my post up Mac!! One thing for sure is you convey the message much clearer then I :)
If we go back and look at Overland 3rd quarter financials and compare them to what were going to see on Monday I feel confident this is going to look awesome! Also, in 2 weeks we went from working with Microsoft for education to new Azure apps, how long has this relationship been building? Plus, they are rolling this out NOW, revenues starting NOW!!! The future is bright and I think most think that we are 6-9 months out, I think NOT!!
Sphere is growing at warp speed, whose next Amazon, Ericsson, more from Google and Dell, ETC, ETC.... exponential growth!!
One year ago the company had 9 employees? Today over 400, with sales teams from Dell, Microsoft, Novarad, Overland, Tangberg, Promark, an Ingram Micro company and one of the world's largest distributors of IT, ETC. ETC selling our products
Mike, I couldn't agree more! Personally I'm ignoring the short noise and counting on fundamentals from management to turn this company into a powerhouse! I could care less if there is a short, nake short or whatever...for me it's about Monday's earning report and conference call.
One answer to your question is that the company firmly believes there is a naked short presence. Their actions make it clear, delisting from the TSX and yesterday's move with the CUSIP and company name. There may be or may not be but we need to focus on all the hard work management is doing and their PPS is not reflecting it....IT WILL IMO!!
"Bids were filled extremely easily today, often below the offer price. Since there really is no proof that phantom shares exist, why does that thesis continue to be reiterated here?"
Today the market cap is approx $180 million, the 4th qtr run rate is over $36 million and Overland is 15% ahead of schedule for operational efficiency, 2015 run rate $160 most likely LOW side. If ANYone can read this letter and believe we will be sitting even close to $180 million market cap in August is going to miss the boat, hope everyone held their shares, this ride is about to speed up!
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/sphere-3d-provides-business-open-133200276.html
Last year was a transformational year for us and we closed it out with a bang! We took a giant step forward as a company through bold moves designed to provide a solid foundation from which we can launch our many fantastic new products. We closed out 2014 with strong financial results as compared to our prior results, and have started building momentum for 2015.
For fiscal Q4 2014, we expect to exceed revenue projections with a record US$9.0 million (C$10.44 million) for the quarter. As a result of our commitment to operational efficiency, we worked with Overland management, prior to the completion of our acquisition, to ensure that their targeted US$20 million in annualized operating expense reductions were not only met, but were 15% (US$3 million) ahead of expectations. Our annualized revenue run rate has grown from less than US$4 million in Q1 2014 to over US$36 million in Q4 2014, and we have set our goal for an annualized run rate of over US$160 million in Q4 2015.
My guess is it all comes down the earnings and guidance!! We must be on track for the $160 run rate and need analyst coverage to move this north of this $180 million market cap!
See you all next Monday!
Great question! Hopefully if no one can respond we get more about this next Monday at the CC!
Thank you, so that was tweeted today from Microsoft?? At the presentation, sorry I can read the board but nothing else and cabel just confused me, lol..thanks again for posting that!
Oh man, that's awesome!! Thanks for sharing guys! I think Microsoft with bring in more then that 2% common mentioned earlier!! Congrats longs, we are the real deal!!!
Can someone copy and paste that tweet, work computer won't allow me to pull the link from twitter, thanks!!
Same boat? Sphere is building a business, that's why I'm here. Next business update Monday 3/20/15!
Common you hit the nail on the head!! 2% and this is a billion dollar company! This is what is important! Great post!
Seems to me that the battle goes between the broker and the naked shorts, that's why I think this will go on for a couple weeks. Just like JB post last night, it took weeks to cover with that penny stock! Patience is a must here because you never know when it can go big. Today the shorts will do everything possible to show this move by the company failed even though it won't long term!
$40 million in revs next week and a positive CC could be the end game for all shorts imo!
One big buyer, trader group could lite the fuse at ANYtime!! Once they start covering this could fly, don't give up your shares UBOL!!
Scottrade doesn't show that I even own Sphere.
Again Scottrade doesn't have the switch over yet, unreal..this maybe the final straw for them!
Agree, this is going to take some time to shake out, these shorts aren't going down with one last battle! Monday's earning and CC could be the white flag for them! We need buyers to keep the pressure on them the rest of the week!!
Probably smart long term, but looks at sons Sonus Networks, they did one and with out earning getting crushed but time will tell.
Seems with news of both patients they could get it over $3.00 easily, but now it looks like they are going to need more capital later which is more dilution. Dang, I hate when companies do this especially when they don't make money!
Why would they do this?? Don't like it!
Thank you, he was right! Should be a very interesting week! Have a great one Tamtam!!
Great stuff struftepete1!! Appreciate your knowledge and efforts!!
Good for you falcon, it's not working for me :)
