To clarify, not a loan, but nobody was going to offer financing when the company was about to go under...they just received 10 million in financing based on their in-house study data and scale-up execution.
Are you saying the loan by the CEO (who is paid 35k a year and paid mostly in stock) of one million dollars is self-serving to him somehow?
Nobody was about to toss Elite 10 million when they were teetering in bankruptcy and had a clown for a CEO.
Absolutely. Getting through Phase II and SPA was huge. It has been frustrating to say the least watching the years go by in between though. Looks like everything is coming together again.
I am not sure how it could be construed as a secret when the CEO says that verbatim in a CC!
Everything is speculation... but based on DD and attempting to read between the lines. Been in this stock almost 10 years and a lot of the speculation back then is about to come to light.
Absolutely agree. Nothing has changed in regards to what the study's design should be. In fact it is a pretty straightforward trial. I agree with you on cost per subject. I also know even with millions left over elite will need a partner to distribute/market. As you know I think that partner is Actavis and has been lined up for sometime, but, time will tell.
I don't buy any of that...
Phase 3 should take 6-8 months and $10 million most certainly covers it (that would be 33K per subject) assuming it is similarly structured to how the trial was modeled during the SPA approval process. http://www.elitepharma.com/investor_relations.asp?goto=296
Chris Dick is 58 years old. Who says he is not just consulting for a few years and not going back to work. The guy has made 200-300K a year for the last 10 years. He has a lot of Elite stock that he knows will be worth a lot of money soon. My bet is he is semi-retiring.
No they will buy them for 1 billion.
I hope not but I do not see how that does not happen at this point now that both patents are secured. Personally would like to see them get a couple ART products to market through a partnership first.
That Actavis is scooping up a company every couple of weeks. That is what is significant.

You are kidding me right?
Epic is Actavis, Mikah is Actavis and Elite is almost Actavis. That's why. This has been clear for almost two years now. The fact most people do not see it, or think it, is wild.
Actavis just bought Warner Chilcott for $8.8 billion. http://features.blogs.fortune.cnn.com/2013/05/21/actavis-the-latest-fortune-500-company-to-leave-the-u-s-for-tax-reasons/

Says JT who does investor CCs for his house with his dog barking. That said, everyone is reading far too much into all of this... The guy is 60, he made 200k a year and has for at least the last 10 years and he knows that he has plenty of stock that should be worth a lot more moving forward.
Bet you it will be someone from Actavis...
Chris Dick was president and chief operating officer.

I hope that Elite retains proprietary ownership of microtablet technology.
I hope Elite doesn't get euthanized.
100 % sure that was for a partner. They were already cleared to go into Phase 3 by FDA. FDA would not have been looking for this after go ahead with SPA.
I think it is pretty simple. The one bead approach has shown major stability issues and honestly should not take a chem/pharma background to understand this. An identical two bead system is far superior. While not yet proven publicly "per se", Elite has been developing and testing this long enough to know and prove it. 10 million in financing would have been contingent on that as would the deal they made with Actavis...
I don't see how there is no buyout at this point.
That makes sense. When it was mentioned I had never heard of it and someone told me it was an opiod w/naloxone... Looking good
nucynta
No - I will ask somebody down here what it is called. There was a post or two about it a couple weeks ago asked around and it was not on our radar - had never heard of it which is strange.
I believe that is correct. Only other one right now would be Johnson and Johnson.
Elite Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (otcqb:ELTP) announced last month the issuance of U.S. Patent No. 8,425,933 entitled "Abuse-Resistant Oral Dosage Forms and Method of Use Thereof" by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This is the second issued U.S. patent covering Elite's abuse resistant technology for opioid products. Elite has additional patents pending in the U.S., Canada and Europe. "We are pleased to receive this second abuse resistant patent. The recent guidance's and actions by the FDA related to extended release opioids and specifically oxycodone demonstrates the FDA support for abuse resistant technologies. Opioid products incorporating abuse resistant technologies have become a public health priority and these recent actions appear to be a major step towards the FDA eventually requiring that all extended release opioids utilize these technologies.

There is no way that they read this board. This board and every board like it related to the OTC is every reason the company puts out the only info they are mandated/required to put out and why you won't see it actually act like the company it is until it is off the OTC.
Where did this come from? Anyone seen JJ in the mix on any of this prior to this article?
http://www.nucynta.com/mechanism-of-action
That's actually the beauty in this. You can't prove it. Time will tell.
For one it's spelled Actavis. Furthermore, the .07 only reinforces that Elite is indeed Actavis. There is a much larger plan here at place and has been for two years. Also, do any of you have jobs? Who can do this all day? I need to trade in my profession...
Epic is Actavis, Mikah is Actavis and Elite is almost Actavis. That's why. This has been clear for almost two years now. The fact most people do not see it, or think it, is wild.
That's huge Only 4 companies produce levonorgestrel. Watson and Novel are the only ones that seem to have the single dose but that is on my hospital system. Will confirm on FDA.
Thanks Couch. I thought so. Novel's value just went up exponentially.
Who is making RU-486? Novel? FDA just announced morning-after pill to move over-the-counter.
Interesting thanks. I find it very hard to believe that something like the STOPP Act does not pass this year. Extraordinary pressure on the FDA from multiple healthcare delivery system angles.
I know. Endo has been lobbying this FDA mandate for some time in an attempt to block generics with the patent running out. The irony is that them calling for it to be abuse resistant will come back to haunt them if an Opana comes out that is abuse proof. Which one will a doc prescribe?
A generic Opana-ER with ART?
