"Think you will see something next week"....
Steve
Yes. Sney has come to a time where they are going to have to show investors that they are actually accomplishing something. Hopefully that will be the case during these first two quarters.
You're more than welcome.
Sent Steve Parent an Email yesterday asking if we would get a PR anytime soon. Here is his reply;
"You bet....let's let everyone get back to work first and the thrill of no fiscal cliff settle a bit. Think you will see something next week"...
Steve
Believe or don't believe, that's up to you. All I'll say is that we know what's in the ground after all the drilling that they've done and the P.E.A. will confirm the profitability and facilitate a listing on the Toronto exchange. All positives in my opinion. GLTU
The preliminary economic assessment will bring the funding imo.
Amen. These next few months should tell the tale. GLTU also
Dittos to all of that. I'm just a little less naive than I was a year and a half ago and a little more suspicious of the motives behind some of the posts on these boards. Flippers can reside on both ends of the spectrum. That being said, I'm still banking on the last two prs being sincere and hanging in here till I get that home run I'm looking for or strike out. Hope I didn't offend. GLTU
I'm learning. Slap that ask and watch her run Bali.
When it's down, buy.
Create euphoria by cheer-leading.
Wait for the rise in share price.
Sell for chump change.
Allow share price to settle and repeat.
And so goes the tennis match. lol
Just read it and it sounds very encouraging to me. Been buying shares since 2007 and looks to me that maybe we're about to see a payoff for all the patience that's been required. GLTA
I just received the same E mail and it says "We have been reviewing funding proposals and hope to have a letter of intent to announce in the coming weeks." It's beginning to sound good. Imo
Thanks for the update. I've got a feeling that we're in for some positive developments during this next year.
Not to mention displaying a real lack of class.
Wish I could but I did vote for the two proposals and for the five directors. The directors all seem like solid people to me and I see nothing wrong with the two proposals. I hope some good news comes out of this meeting.
Lots of thought provoking posts and good information today. From a working stiff, thanks. GLTA
"I'm on a few other boards, but still plenty O SHAREZ here."
One could interpret the "still plenty" as meaning not as many as before, I'm thinking. And this after all that buying you were doing. lol And imagine Parent selling SHAREZ in SNEY, a company that is about to be so prosperous. My education goes on. lol
I will echo hispeedsoul's question. Please give us a little clarity on your reasoning.
Unless they choose to fill us in on the acquisition of pilot plant equipment and the setup progress of said plant or the start of more dredging I don't expect to see much news till next year. As per the Sept. 12th PR, this is a reorganized group of people that should now be focused on establishing a revenue stream. Take it at face value or don't. That's the choice. I'm hanging in till this plays out.
Still hanging onto both. Helps to make life interesting. As far as Sney goes, the right or wrong of focusing on becoming current and up-listing can be debated from now till doomsday. What's done is done. The fact is, it was accomplished, there was some disagreement about that strategy and some parted ways with the company and some new people have taken their place. Someone told me disagreements are quite common in business. lol. They have a plan for this last quarter of 2012 and the first quarter of 2013 and I'm betting this will be accomplished as well, at which time we should see the share price going north for a change. Just another phase in a long long journey. Be a shame to give up now just when things might be getting interesting. GLTA
Cobalt on the periodic table of elements.
E trade is showing that on 8-29-12 Larry Bigler purchased another 20,000 shares at .02. Looks like when he has some spare cash he just goes ahead and buys some more. That bit of news and a green finish makes this a pretty nice day in my opinion.
Although all of this information should be known by everyone here, it's good to read it again. Nice post falon. Thanks.
Read the three statements of changes in beneficial ownership in the"recent gnmt news section" dated Oct.15.
Maybe I just read a lot slower than you. Are you one of those speed readers? Try reading it again.
"Why add another mouth to feed if they can't contribute to the bottom line?"
Obviously it must be felt that he can contribute to the bottom line. Reading the PR, it looks to me that Mr. Houck probably has a lot to contribute. Managerial skills, marketing skills, successful international business experience and connections. Sney has the goods, now they need someone who can make deals and move the goods and judging by what the PR says about him he probably fills the bill. I'm no expert but that's how I read it.
Thanks for that Jim.
I'm not much of a poster but I do read them all and have learned to mentally throw out the sand and gravel posts and focus on the nuggets. Problem is, with you folks moved to another forum there are a lot less nuggets to find here. GLTU
Sorry all. I got that wrong. It says those were stock grants.
Forbush, Martine, and Bigler buying more shares. Things are looking better and better. IMO
Well, I prompted a couple of posts, and positive ones at that. Thanks Mother, Fangster, and Rocket for the PM. Would have been a shame to see the board empty all day. lol GLTA
Silence this morning. For those who sometimes are feeling a bit discouraged, as I will admit to being at times, I recommend rereading the PR of Sept. 12th and giving the new management the benefit of the doubt. I'm choosing to hang in and see if they can accomplish what they say in this remaining quarter of this year and the first two of next year. In my case I'm down 80% so not a lot left to lose percentage-wise anyway. GLTA
That is nice to hear.
Still here.
I agree with your assessment of Dale Art. I talked with him about a year ago and then again this morning for about twenty minutes or so over the phone. Regretfully, I forgot to ask him if I could repeat any of our conversation so I won't. I do expect to speak with him again at which time I will ask him that. One thing I think I can repeat is that he still holds all of his SNEY shares and wants to see the price go up as much as anyone else. For what it's worth, I think he has gotten a bad rap by some on this board. I have said before that there are two sides to every story and it pays to hear both of them.
Wasoom, thanks. I have no PM. Considering the expertise involved I think one can reasonably conclude that serious efforts are being made.
His business is called Apollo-Pine Canyon. I googled it and it says he is currently a consultant to various security, transportation and logistics companies. Must have done some consulting for sney and gotten paid in shares.
Either I'm beaten soundly or I win. Never has been any in between for me no matter how irrational that sounds. So last week, like the mouse flipping off the eagle swooping down on him, I took the last $60.00 left in my cash account and bought another 30,000 shares of sney. Sad (In my view) that I could get so many shares for so little money considering what I spent on the 2,000,000 I already have. Bag holder...maybe....winner....possibly. Either way, however this plays out, I'm done with this game. Just another experience to cross off of my bucket list. LoL
I must say that I have learned a valuable lesson in the past couple of weeks. Looking back I can think of no time when I should have made any of my buys of SNEY at the ask. The only thing I accomplished by "supporting the share price" was to help achieve someone else's ends and use up cash that could have bought more shares at a time like this. If the share price is to be supported, it's up to the company to do it, is my conclusion. Also I have formed a new opinion of those who urged others to support the share price and are now celebrating their massive accrual of shares at the bid. Lesson learned.
I agree. Absolutely nothing wrong with telling others to do what you won't do yourself as some have done. Having gone all in awhile back (at the ask) it would be nice to see this go up for a change. Guess I'm just frustrated.
