Irb is institutional review board

The irb is a committee which oversees the study to make sure they comply with the Helsinki protocol, the irb approval has nothing to do wether it works or not just that they proved it safe for humans and followed all protocols recognized by the world medical association in how they tested the safety, which is the first step to get any drug approved

And I'd probably go right down the street to that big pharma company and try to get an investment from them.

I know if I was running the company and I now had scientific data of my idea proving the results I wouldn't publish it right away.
I would shop my findings around to get some money behind me before I let the world know.

They can't do this on their own without an influx of capital which I believe will be the next big announcement.
