yeah...and intel took a pentium iii and made some nice circuit....
I wonder what Turion performance looks like on WindowsXP 64 .
Do you supose maybe it is a clearing of shelves for some new products...maybe ?
Well suppose AMD sells Spansion to Samsung, do you suppose that, that could cause intel some consternation ?
Hey Keith: http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=21215179 Have you bought back in yet ?
Welcome back :)

BTW, I just spoke to someone in sales at HP and Firewire, though not listed, is there. Video output may be available in the future. He has not been informed; but, he believes that, that model is slated for Turion on introduction.
I believe that most of what is missing are "make this thing suck" alternatives. The Turion debut should shed more light.
It does seem to be a precursor to Turion offerings. Aggressive $500 rebate...$99 WinXP64(implied) offered...2 Gigs of memory option (this thing has the look of a portable Workstation)...I wonder about battery life.
nonesense...it would lead to polar icecap melting...worldwide floods...panics...economic disasters...etc.
it did go up a lot on Friday for no real reason...yes I do know about Caris....
...if there´s any interest....
Keith, there is interest...please do sum it up :)
Why leave Gatewayne out ? It is going to be Gatewayne (AMD+intel) eventually, you know, and with increased market share.
what is "Dragonfly" ?
I really do not think that this is all that Wayne in planning :)
You have bought back in yet ?
D'YA suppose maybe, perhaps, perchanch he had an inkling of this (among other things) and he had a clue when he was buying all of those shares (a gratuitous million dollar addional personal commitment) a little while back ( http://finance.yahoo.com/q/it?s=AMD ) and he was talking to that dull guy Morty who also bought over $400,000 bout the same time ?
GEEEE !! What a novel thought: http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=5859119
Well...that would go a ways towards explaining Hector's efforts in lining up addiutional capacity.
Well...goooollllyy ggeeee, once again calls of the death of AMD seem somewhat premature.
I really think that Keith is a very valuable asset. I believe that he seems so negative for two reasons:
1. He interprets and presents negative data that others seem to choose to ignore.
2. I think that he has been so badly burned by his own optimism in the past that he seems to have overcompensated.
As everyone else does, he does his best to present a balanced view.
He really was one of AMD's biggest proponents, once. Now that he thinks that "intel has caught up" he is embarassed. He does not begin to understand the technology involved.
Some are panicked after they buy only to panic if they sell.
Whittington is really not all that good. Not nearly as bad as that idiot at UBS.
probably no sooner than Hector anticipates it :)
BTW, I really thing that Hector is well into orchestrating a "SHOCK N' AWE" of his own version. I take very seriously the insider activity "HINTS" of late. another BTW, I think that the intc Baker purchase is born of a sincere but over myopic view of events.
Make no mistake, I have no problem with your posts; actually I value them much more than those from many others. Try to lighten up, however :)
women are too preoccupied with the "weight" issue(s)
...only viable options within that price....
UUUUHHHH, unfortuneately: http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/ZDM/story?id=603488 just appeared.
"...you should lay off the negativity...."
Probably would bring on a severe case of apoplexy...would you want to take responsibility for that ?
Who knows ? Maybe Hector is listening to Morty :)
what can this mean ?
lol...seriously, every time that I think that intel squeezing AMD with relative impunity is at an end, it finds another way...this time it looks as though there may not be any good other way for it.
BTW, what does intel fall back on for profitability when it NOW tries to squeeze AMD in whatever areas it decides to squeeze AMD next ?
I kinda thought that intel opting for performance over battery life in the new (in)sanomia platform was somewhat telling as well.
YUP...kinda reminds me of the rear engine front wheel drive car during the plethora of innovative autos of the fifties.
There really, really was such a stupid thing...really.
I think that we may be about to see an abrupt end to those days.
I think that Hector dumped him as the last significant relic of Jerry's "yes man" team about a year ago. He was Senior VEEP of maaaaketing...need I say more ?
