CCME - exactly, I posted a similar comment on the CCME board a few minutes ago.........
You will find that a lot of CCME info now circulating on the internet is the result of commentary and posts made by our own Value1008 (Timothy) here and on YMB.
This info has made it's way into SA aricles, comments on blogs and a variety of other venues....just another example of the "value" that this Board provides to the investment community and in this case credit goes to Timothy!!
-Chuck
Thanks!!
LLEN - anyone know if Dave Gentry is still going to be on CNBC today at noon (EST)? Thanks........
The 50 dma is $16.60.........
LLEN - over 10 bucks now....that was quick. Maybe Gentry's comments on CNBC next Monday (unless it's rescheduled again) will jack it up even more.
Hmmmm.....maybe you should take a look at the 3, 6 and 12 month charts instead of the last hour and a half........
Prompted by your post, I called them and this was the response I got. Apparently, demand for the shares is way down (the borrow rate at Fidelity was as high as 25% as recently as early November).
So, IMO, it's one of two things: either Fidelity is charging the short way more to borrow than it is passing back to the actual shareholder or there are quite a few more "borrowable" shares out there due to the probability of increased float that has been discussed here in several posts.......
Down to 3.5% at Fidelity...........
Right - in addition, this was the first post that this guy has made on Yahoo (see link in Pedro's post) soooooo..... I suppose you have to start somewhere but I guess I'll believe there's MS coverage when I see it.
Checked "research" on the MS website (I have an account) and there is no research on CCME to be found.........
Maybe now that Jacky owns in excess of 100K shares of CCME, he'll turn into more of a "pumper" next time he's ready to release guidance, hehe........
CCME - this offering could also be perceived as "another arrow in CCME's sales quiver" when it comes to convincing interested parties that CCME should have a presence in the high-speed train market......wouldn't it be the Chinese gov't that would stand to benefit from that additional revenue stream??
-Chuck
CCME/"Newport" - I have followed his YMB posts for some time as well. I do not believe the 200K shares he mentions in his post are in his personal portfolio (but certainly some may be). I think he posted a while back that he manages a small fund in SoCal so more likely that is the "portfolio" he refers to.
-Chuck
Swamp - I like all four of your wishes but I'm afraid you'll have to get in line for #3 LOL
Exactly - a sale at $22 (and STG tax treatment) would have more than made up for the tax difference relative to a sale at $16 (at LTG rate) just as a move back up to that level from here would. Any here who are still holding from warrant conversion days who don't think this gets to at least $20 in the near term? Additionally, ANY sale of CCME shares after mid/late January by original warrant holders who converted is taxed at the LTG rate, so (for me anyway) it still pays to hang on given all of the news that I believe is yet to come..........Chuck
CCME/MS - signed on to my MS online account in search of any news or MS research that might be available on CCME and am sorry to report that I came up empty. Will check periodically for updates and provide them here if appropriate.........Chuck
I have an MS account - I will check their website's research section this week to see if anything related to CCME is out there.
And of course, Deloitte will be doing its FY 2010 audit during the same time period so that it can submit its report to be incorporated in the 2010 10K.......
Dan - neither will I........
Haha - that's hilarious!! Maybe it will be a means for Jacky to deter short sellers whereby he threatens to execute strafing runs on the shorts' houses.......
RINO - Fidelity? They don't even show the new symbol yet. Can't get out....jeez.
Swamp - thanks. Any news on potential MS coverage which was talked about here last week? Thanks.
Focus - I'm assuming you don't mean "thumbs up" LOL
Chris - It's very possible that others feel the same way although who knows to what degree. There is, however, the potential for quite a few shares to change hands - I believe Dan, Fernando, Swamp, Glen, etc. have a bunch. I'll wait to see what happens in the next month as I'm sure these guys will too.....Chuck
My trade date on the TMI warrant conversion to CCME shares was 01/07/2010. On that date next month, my CCME paper profits become long term gains. At that point I am planning to begin a serious re-allocation in my portfolio since I am currently more top heavy in CCME than I would like to be. Your comment on "better returns elsewhere" will likely come into play particularly if no significant news comes out of the company between now and then..........
Not sure exactly what "the coming days soon" means as the CC was almost a month ago (11/8), but I guess we'll see..........
RINO/Rames - are you saying it will resume trading on 12/8 (although I realize not on NASDAQ)??
Well, it sure would be nice if that chatter about MS coming out with something positive turns out to be true.....especially sooner than later!
TC - so based on the conservative end of your revenue range where would you see 2011 eps coming in and what share count did you use? Thanks.
RINO - Hard to determine what happens next. In spite of the fact that at least two of the customers are bogus, have these "customers" generated revenue? In other words, do the numbers change dramatically (if at all) or is it a case where the company (and auditors) have attributed revenue/income from the bogus customers or does all of RINO's revenue derive from the legitimate ones......I guess we'll see. Bigger issue is can we even trust the revised numbers and statements when they come out since such a shoddy job was done the first time around. Shame on me for being long especially given all of the info that was out there....
JOE - have you heard anything more on the RINO situation? I assume you are stuck in the stock due to the halt (as am I). Thanks!
Sounds like a fun time - got any pictures (no, not the boats LOL)?? BTW, that picture of Stacey Williams is perfect!!
-Chuck
RINO - other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the show?!?!
RINO - also noticed he posted about 10 minutes before it was halted.......now what?
RINO - wonder what's up with this. Maybe it will stay halted the rest of the day with news coming after hours?? We'll see.....
RINO - Joe, did you get out from under your 6.23's or are you hanging in??
Headley-
I always enjoy your posts but it may be time for you to explore the greener pastures you speak of. It is clear that your agenda does not match that of CCME management, either in substance and/or timing of initiatives, so it may be a good time to seek out a company/stock that is a better fit. This stock is obviously not for everyone and, yes, it has been quite a roller coaster ride for those of us who have been fully invested (not traders) since January. I for one would completely understand if you decided to pack your bags. Should you decide to move on, I will miss your posts and perspective and I wish you the best. Thanks for your contributions!
-Chuck
Very well said Timothy, I couldn't agree more!!
-Chuck
Thanks to you too "Tiny"; you are as regular a poster here as anyone and I appreciate your insights!!
