The thing is, this would be one of the most cost-effective investments in security that could be made.
Would certainly hope so. Especially when the company has the logical solution to so many security issues.
Could be that the advertising angle is being played down until they get a good installed base, and then phase it in gradually. It may seem like a potential annoyance to tenants unless they do it carefully.
True. If it was easy, we'd all be rich.
Nothing wrong with piggybacking on an iconic name.
Other than day-trader action, the big thing will be when and if they make a hit. Whether they drill or sell out, the money will roll.
Would also be nice to hear more results of their high volume insertions.
The stimulus package hasn't excited very many people so far, but that doesn't mean it won't start to turn things around as money becomes more available to the banks.
Although I've heard little about this, I would hope that they are pursuing advertising possibilities with these units as they get them installed.
Although these things are usually kept pretty guarded, I haven't heard a thing regarding any possible bids, other than rumors.
At least I think it's got a viable future, which is more than I can say for a lot of companies, including some bigger ones, right now.
I'm afraid this little company, like so many others, is going to get tossed and turned by bigger economic waves. But I think it's intellectual capital will keep it floating as things turn around.
Especially if the emphasis switches to advertising potential.
Should be great fun to watch this when and if new contracts are announced.
For the reasons given, I would tend to be very optimistic as well.
Looking for announcements of new contracts and partnerships.
A lot of stuff can happen in 3 years. I won't pick numbers that far out, but, assuming the world doesn't collapse, projections could be spectacular.
For a board to announce ahead of time that they are contemplating a split, one would think that the deed was pretty well decided on. Otherwise the letdown would hurt share price and perhaps even suggest poor judgement.
I suppose, like any growing company, they'll have to keep some of their cards pretty close to their chest.
I hope their patents are as tough as their silk. Big names have been known to use their patent attorneys to cut the legs out from under great little companies that thought they were on solid ground.
Regarding ease of use, one of the things they have going for them is the interactive screen, which can provide quick information to any user.
Wait for the news.
I'm afraid that right now the only volume is in the lab.
And, like so many companies in this global economy, the market equals the whole world.
The thing is, the product so lends itself to videos and similar publicity.
Once you start digging, you've committed yourself. You can only dig in the ground for so long without proving one of two things: either it's there or it ain't.
It's doing all the right stuff. Now if quarterly earnings can just take it over the top, share price should really see some action.
An older video, but the first words in it are key. Sector 10's products may be "on the top of every first responder's wish list". When you think of it, that's an indication of this company's potential.
Any word on the F/S yet?
Looks like my office.
The initial installation on multiple floors would be higher, but this is where the advertising support pays off. Imagine the monetization potential of having a public screen on every commercial floor in America . . . the World.
I'm also wondering if this move suggests something about anticipated earnings that the public doesn't know. Rolling earnings-per-share is currently right on the equator.
And I suspect there are enough powered high-rises in the world to keep them busy for a long long time. One of the things to consider is whether every floor of a high rise would realistically require its own unit. After all, you can't depend upon the ability of people to move between floors in an emergency. So forget the number of buildings, just think of the number of FLOORS!
Of course we're still waiting.
These daily blips could be a distant memory with major contracts and earnings reports.
Verifiable results can change everything in a blink. But until that happens, cynicism will keep the cap on.
Not sure about battery backup, or other power options. Of course the non-powered aspects of the product (emergency supplies, etc.) wouldn't be affected.
A forward split, though it frequently takes place later in the game, remains one of the most positive signs for the future of SP.
Systems are so complex today, with technologies changing faster than businesses can keep up, that it's imperative vendors provide a more comprehensive level of support, not only to their customers, but to their partners and sales teams.
Keep an eye on how many of these contracts "under review" actually come through.
