Fairholme attorneys are very smart! I'm assuming they put in a request for the updates to be Looks like they are definitely worth their pay!
Great picture!! Thank you all so much for making sure the shareholders are heard and seen!! On the steps of the Capitol, perfect!!
House passes Ryan budget
New York Times "Tax Revenue Soars, Decreasing Deficit, U.S. says".
This article mentions Fannie, Freddie March payment, but does not mention the amount. Readers notice numbers. They need to print the numbers when they cover it.
Fannie and Freddie look good, court cases strong, the rest of the market , yuck!
Thank you! Spring buying frenzy would be good!
Anybody else concerned about the overall market? I think it's a good sign Fannie and Freddie are staying at 4 with all going on.
Maybe we need to email all the senators a snapshot of The GSE's current balance sheet and the Treasury's current balance sheet. Highlight the payments between the two. Also write down for them real big the current grand total of how much was given to the GSE's and how much has been paid to the Treasury. They all need to have the most current numbers at hand right in front of them. Looking at the current numbers, I would think they would feel stupid repeating the fact that there was never a plan for the payments to count for payback. I would also think that with those numbers right in front of them that they would feel stupid saying, yes this company needs to stay in conservatorship.
Why does she say what they have paid as of May 2013? Why doesn't she say what they have paid as of today?
Just wondering if you are including the full mount received by Treasury on March 31st?
Just wondering if you
$25 billion to go? And FNMA has sent $121.1 billion to Treasury thus far?
Ha ha! Release her!
On my way to the post office right now! Had a busy day, but this is important. I think a lot of investors are relying on the court cases. I do think they are our best bet. I think the bills in congress will either fail or run out of time, but I'm still haunted by Obamacare! :) I don't want to wake up months down the road and say, how did congress do that? I feel better at least knowing that I have given them my input. This is a critical time to keep the pressure on. I can pitch in on my part by at least sending out some postcards and emails.
Thank you, will do.
Good idea! I'll be doing the postcards and an email today and maybe an email everyday :) to the senate finance committee. We have to keep the pressure on! It's too important!
Thank you Obi, thank you Tim, Nader, ihubbers at the conference, organizers of the conference. Thank you for keeping the pressure on, for reminding them that there are shareholders. Thank God the shareholders were not completely wiped out in '08. Who would be holding the government accountable?
FNMA Board, we asked that you apply for uplisting. Is that in the works? Yes or no? If not, why? Uplisting requirements? Does government have you in a vice grip? We expect you to at least answer the question, today. Same with conservatorship, to Watt, what is the status? What is your position? What are you working on now, today?
Thank you, must not work on iPad :)
Is anyone getting the stream yet?
That would be great to use in court. The GSE's were given $187 billion. They have paid back $202 billion, that is $15 excess. So Mr Lew you're concerned about some saying they want to be made whole. How exactly are we made whole in this country when someone in a fiduciary position lends a company money? The $187 is paid. Exactly how much interest, Mr Lew? (The original pay back, or don't worry they'll never be able to pay back terms of the bailout, were completely unacceptable as well as the unilateral sweep. So the courts will have to decide!)
Thank you! I forgot to record!
definitely brah! Aloha BBQ, taco poke and something good to drink!
Nope I want fee simple on Maui.
Yes, what else are we making money for? Us I-hubbers need to go have some fun in the sun!!
I don't think you can go wrong in Montana. Good quality of life! It will be great!!
When you stay at the Hilton Waikola on the big island, you can lie in their hammocks for free, all day right on the ocean, try Buddha point. They have a good day camp for your kiddos while your napping in your hammock!
I have heard that there are some deals on the big island now, because there has been smoke from the volcanoes booting the oldies out. I would guess that the smoke is not a permanent thing, so maybe you can get a good deal.
Depends on if fee simple or not. Funky stuff going on with the Bishop estate.
Gaparino just reporting, Treasury and asset managers battling out whether to have asset managers maintain capital requirements like banks
www.wstreet.com, look on left of front page, Payne is asking what your vote is on the fate of Fannie, Freddie
It seems the gov is waiting for the total of $187 billion + 10% interest payment to received by Treasury. It is close now $17billion (or officially $15billion over as Obit explained). I believe someone here said that final bit will be met with first quarter payment, the first week of May.

Sure, and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew scheduled to speak on cnbc squawk box tomorrow morning.
Only caught half of the interview, but did not hear him talk GSE's.

Safe travels! Thank you for help giving a voice for the shareholders!
It will be amazing! Thank you Blanka for taking your time to go to the meeting!
Great! He's done extensive research on the banking system for years. He'd be great support on a panel.
