REUTERS Warner Music subpoenaed in digital music probe
NEW YORK, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Warner Music Group Corp.
<WMG.N> on Tuesday said it received another subpoena from the
New York attorney general's office in connection with an
ongoing antitrust investigation into the pricing of digital
music downloads.
The company in a filing with the U.S. Securities and
Exchange Commission said it intends to comply with the
inquiry.
Warner Music received an earlier subpoena from the New York
attorney general's office relating to the investigation in late
December 2005, the company said.
REUTERS UPDATE 2-Warner Music net nearly doubles on digital sales
NEW YORK, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Warner Music Group Corp.
<WMG.N> on Tuesday said quarterly profit nearly doubled, driven
by stronger sales of higher-margin digital songs during the
holiday season,
The company, home to artists that include Madonna, Green
Day and James Blunt, said net income for the first quarter
ended on Dec. 31 rose to $69 million, or 46 cents per share,
from $36 million, or 31 cents per share, a year earlier.
Revenue fell 4 percent to $1.04 billion, Warner said,
blaming exchange-rate fluctuations and the May 2005 sale of its
sheet music business, which had contributed $15 million in the
year-earlier period.
Analysts surveyed by Reuters Estimates had forecast revenue
of $1.09 billion.
Warner Music said digital revenue rose to $69 million, up
30 percent from the fourth quarter, and nearly triple that of a
year earlier, because of online music sales at services such as
Apple Computer Inc.'s <AAPL.O> iTunes music store and Napster
<NAPS.O>, as well as mobile ringtones.
"Our digital revenue was up dramatically year-on-year,
especially after MP3 players went live on December 25th," Chief
Financial Officer Michael Fleischer said before the company
released results. "The naysayers of digital music on the Street
have been proven wrong."
The United States accounted for 70 percent of digital music
sales, which were split evenly between Internet downloads and
ringtones, Fleischer said.
Revenue from Warner's recorded music business fell 2
percent to $920 million, and revenue from music publishing fell
15 percent to $131 million,
Warner Music underwent a restructuring after its 2004 sale
by Time Warner Inc. <TWX.N> to an investment group led by media
mogul Edgar Bronfman Jr. for $2.6 billion.
The company has focused on cutting costs, exploiting its
catalog and investing in digital music. It went public in May
last year.
Total costs and expenses for the first quarter fell 6
percent from a year earlier to $900 million

CSUA news didnt come out till 1:12 pm thats how I missed it.
CSUA is the best chart today looks like
WSRA gives it a good run for its money
Unable to find good growth buy positioned Nano related stocks so far, will continue to look over the weekends.
AXIGE works for a 75 period 15 minute SMA anyways. Interesting. They were steeper rises and declines recently so it makes sense to loosen the SMA curve a bit.
AXIGE sticking close to the 15 minute 50 period SMA levels after a steep decline today, hopefully it will hold there?
Any guesses as to whether it heads to the 200 period SMA on the 15 minute or marches forward and up from here ?
I think that PTSC is the one to put together rallies to last several days in the near future, do your charts indicate that
fringe?
