Buffett only says what he feels covers the subject. He doesn't need to add any fluff. He says what he thinks GSEs need at the moment, and maybe he's just saying whether there is any need at the moment for Berkshire Hathaway.
usually then you'll be restricted to trading only with settled funds for 3 months
one of the signers, Grover Norquist is on cnbc now talking about IRS
Thank you Zaphadiah! Just curious, did you hear that on tv or were you able to find it posted? I thought I heard it yesterday, but then could not find it written anywhere. It was driving me nuts! :)
Good news, thank you!
Yes, Obama told the congress to send him a bill that would never leave the taxpayer on the hook again. He told them to send him the impossible. It's kind of strange that his top housing aide is still pushing the J-C bill, but no worries, it won't go anywhere anyway.
Thank you, I thought so. I know several people in his district that say they can't imagine Fannie and Freddie being shut down. His bio says he is on the Financial Services Committee and subcommittee 1) Capital Markets and Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSE's).
3pm est, my pm is down at the moment. :)
Obama says send me a bill where taxpayers are never on the hook again. Donovan, one of his top housing aides, says pass j-c bill where taxpayers can still be on the hook. Does the left hand know what the right is doing?
Was that last summer?
Warren Buffett on Bloomberg tomorrow 3pm, just heard it. Will still try and clarify cnbc.
Ed perlmutter, U.S. Rep from Colorado. I believe Ed perlmutter has supported the GSE's before. Does anyone know where he stands now?
A drink it is! I already picked out my chair though. I just went there and did a little reconnaissance!
Bove said $18. Not being picky, will explain at toast! :)
Hey DT! I heard that it would air in the morning on squawk box. I just emailed cnbc to verify before I posted again. They said they can't tell me what is going to be on tomorrow. Ha! They suggested I sign up for guest alerts and I might be alerted to future interviews. I will still record also and let you know if I hear of anything of importance.
Warren will be on cnbc tomorrow.
May 8th or 9th
? I'm talking about the j-c bill that could affect Fannie
Congress is on a two week Easter break. I only had 1 day off :) They know their bill is not looking too good now, and they need to secure more votes. If it was so important to them, wouldn't they come back early? They are due back on the 29th and the deadline is the 30th. I don't think they should be allowed to delay it after they just had a 2 week vacation. IMO
a bit of a stretch :)
Low volume, shouldn't be anything to worry about.
bug boys :) I like that. They need to hurry up! Thanks again for your efforts in D.C. Thanks for the pm. I need to renew my pm subscription.
The networks need to cover a response from the other side to Pimco's comments. That would be interesting!
Thank you, we appreciate your time and clarity.
I don't know if you were still dabbling in erb_, but their CEO is on cnbc now
Do you know when there might be an update on the Perry case?
Thanks Travel5. Have to get to the gym, wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.
What is the Friday 21st part at top?
Thank you!
I'm interested, but I need to see a little more dd backing it up. I can fly out and check out headquarters, but could I talk with anyone?
Yes down to the final squeeze. J-C sounds like a flop, but we have to keep up our emails, just in case they try and push through a no-good bill again. Then lifting conservatorship, will it be courts or FHFA? Update on courts 23rd, original due date of j-c bill 29th, Demarco cleans desk 30th. Sounds like j-c is pushed back. All eyes on in May, what will happen?
I didn't know Forbes wrote it. I must have misplaced the issue :) Most of the public doesn't even know what's currently going on with Fannie and Freddie. Maybe it's good, send the media an easy accurate timeline of Fannie, Freddie. They will see the truth! It's all there!
Yes, I was just reading the comments now, and it looks like someone told him when it posted 3 weeks ago. People are really resonating with it and wanting to send it to others, so maybe he could just fix that part?
Wow, that was Forbes that misquoted that part? Fannie and Freddie were placed into conservatorship by the FHFA September 6, 2008. People seem to really like the article, can he just fix that part?
Can you just have him correct that one error before you post it? :)
That part should probably be corrected? The article is on yahoo board too from ihub. Thank you for your efforts in D.C.
Definitely. Does anybody have an update on the Perry Capital case?
Good point, just that part about who placed FNF under conservatorship. It was at the end of Bush's term that they were placed under conservatorship. They have been kept under conservatorship for Obama's entire term.
After reading Demarco's speech, it seems Watt must be politely waiting for whatever reason for Demarco to clean out his desk April 30th. With this amount of stalling time, it now seems like maybe they are positioning Watt. If court discovery goes bad for government, he can lift c-ship and make government look good. If discovery goes OK for government, they'll have him keep status quo and let the cases linger on.
