I sold a little of that 500K, was way over extended in this one. Needed some lunch money. still hold over 2M.
Did'nt Eric say in the unlikely event they could not close on one of the 3 VOD distribution agreements that we would use Youtube releases for pocket change ? I might be wrong but I remember that statement from a Email.
I see Racing Dreams did not get held over at the IFC in NYC. So it played a week, probably lost more money. I'm very long TDGI and was hopeful RD could break even at the box office. Not going to happen, lost over 200,000 first weekend and more since then. Play it in LA for two weeks then put this movie to bed. I know, I know the DVD sales will be unreal.
I'm 47 and Racing Dreams did'nt do as good as we first thought in NYC. The Numbers.com lowered the weekend take 2,000 to $5,529.
The Sunday estimate was way to high, only did $644 on Sunday. I'm pulling for RD but it had 6 showings on Sunday and only 50-60 seats were sold, Thats not good.
Racing Dreams did $7,355 for the weekend, is now the 371st highest grossing documentary of all time !
rbball, it's great to have you here. Seems like you have the type of attitude we want around here.
Keep the name and number of the buyer so you can buy them back with your TDGI profits. And thanks for serving from one vet to another.
After doing the math for myself, I was thinking 9-10K would be good.

I called the IFC theater in NYC to find out how large of a theater Racing Dreams will receive. I was told they have two new movies opening on Friday and have not determined what movie will get the top tier theater 250 seats, second tier theaters hold 100 seats. Just wonder if Susan knew pre-sales could help get the top tier.
Racing Dreams had a good week in it's 3 theaters. Moving up about 10 spots to take over the 390th highest grossing documentary of all time. And this friday is the relaunch in NYC. than two week later in LA. go TDGI

Did'nt get into any of that.
That and the Wild hunt to follow sometime later. I forgot to ask Eric when the Wild Hunt would be released. If Twelve goes good the W H will get more screens.
No, he gives market areas. He said think of them as television markets. So on Aug 6th we get 30 major and I think 15 minor markets that cover 78% of US population.
From my conversation with Eric moving back Twelve one week will give us many more screens, same number of markets but more screens. We used my market area (Cleveland), on Jul 30th we would get 1-2 screens waite one week we get 4-5 screens.
Don't be a snot, I called HH to talk to susan Patton. The man on the phone said she is on holiday, can I help you. It was Eric, we had a little chat and that is some of what he told me.
I don't know if this is old news or not, Twelve release date is Aug 6th. was moved back a week because Dinner for Schmucks is being released on Jul 30th. This date gives Twelve the 30 major markets that HH wanted.
Engineerbl, HH PR dated 3/26/2010 had Twelve released in 250 theaters. Do you or anyone know what the theater count is now ?
Mickey, you hid on something I'm concerned about. The first mention of the deal we hade a .05 stock now we are less than .03
our position is damaged.
Well, oceans has grossed 19,000,000 domestic and 53,500,000 international. Racing dreams has done 45,207.
NEWS and my problem with it. we heard it before and it did not play out.
5/19/2010
Racing dreams:
Hannover’s original theatrical plans for the film called for a limited release in 4 key markets. However, following the film’s screening to theatre chains at ShoWest, Hannover expanded the release to 35 prints in 11 markets beginning this Friday. By June 18, the Hannover expansion should reach over 150 theaters in 45 markets nationwide.
No deal is done for Wild Hunt either:
The company is now in discussions with major exhibition chains to expand the release during July and August to reach over 100 theaters in twenty-five key markets.
Your now in discussions, well I would hurry it up July is getting close. I just don't think Eric should tell us what he's working on. He should tell us what he has completed.
Racing Dreams passes a few more and is now the 399th highest grossing documentary of all time. $43,533
I think our big seller was very lucky, he got to cash out of the scam TDGI he bought last June, July. My guess is he held millions of worthless shares until EP and HH came along and saved the day. It was just total luck. I know, better to be lucky than good.
You are the stand in MOD, can you answer my question. How far back in the message boards can a Mod delete a message post ? Day, week, month, year ???
No I must be out of the loop, if the info is pertinet to TDGI I would like a copy.
Question for a MOD, how far back can a MOD go to delete a message from the board. Thanks in advance.
Rain claims not selling any shares in the last 10 days, I assume 10 trading days.
I think its time to expand Racing Dreams. According to the numbers.com 108 films played in theaters last week. Racing dreams beat 48 of them with a $1,274 per screen average. The plan was to expand to 150 theaters by mid June, that is this weekend.
So Rainmaker, you accounted for almost all of the selling over the last week and a half ? If your out of the way maybe we can move up now.
Since the PR on Friday the 4th that seems to have started the sell-off, only about 23 mill shares have been traded. Not many at all.
Looks like we could see the 2's again. Now that would be a great buy, if you have any money left.
I'm sure when Jay booked emma the movie Twelve was going to be released on July 2nd. Eric moved it to the 30th.
WOW this is great seeing a 106% paper gain drop to 30% gain.
What happened to your diclosure, its gone.
I don't know if you can simply extrapolate the two theaters into the expansion plans of 150 theaters to come up with 2,500 X 75 = $187,500 per week ?
RACING DREAMS in just two theaters pulls in over $2,500 this weekend, making it the 403rd highest grossing documentary of all time !!!
I'm just having fun with it, will track it to the end. Hope to reach the top 143rd of all time (500,000).
