Even NITE is getting up there on the ask...good to see
After most of us have closed our positions in DPDW we should pick another company DR is high on and start a board up for it.
Looks like we're getting that consolidation people were looking for...hopefully the climb starts after this
true that, but it has to stay up for that to be true,
true, but I mean for everyone that bought afterwards,
Why again do people feel like they can make money off this stock? Everyone here talks about fundamentals and how it's a good company. I've seen dozens examples of why it's great, but it keeps going down. What news or events exactly are going to cause a rise in price? Even a couple of years into the future, what exactly is going to save this stock? Say the mako buyout finalizes tomorrow...we're probably going to be sunk even lower and be even farther from profitability. What exactly is going to turn this ship around? For all the rah-rah'ing and 'oh i get a feeling this week we'll do better' posts I've seen, I haven't seen anything to indicate that this stock will be profitable anytime soon to anyone who purchased above 1.40 even.
*sigh* seems like every week everyone says next week it'll pop.
I wonder if Mako will even get this back to 2 bucks
Why'd we lose ground the last couple days? More from the MMs?
I'm showing 2% increase so far...there's nothing wrong with that.
I am really impressed with DR...I've been looking at their coverage group page....look at NM for instance...tripled in a little under a year.
I'm liking the slow gradual increase with DPDW the last couple of days. Nothing too frantic, just nice calm steady increases.
I actually had a dream last night that I checked the price between classes and it was up to 27.50, and had been at 37.00 earlier in the trading session. At the end of the dream I went to bed, so I woke up this morning all happy thinking that it had actually happened :(
Indeed, first things first. Hopefully this week nets a positive, then go from there.
I've been very curious about that myself...Everyone keeps talking about how the signs are great for this stock to take off. Seems like everyday a majority of the people here say that. Then the next day comes and we lose some more, and people usually say it's because of a 'walk-down' I'm not sure how an MM could get away with this repeatedly.
I'm not trying to bash DPDW, I still have my full position in it, but I don't get why people here keep thinking it's going to go up any day. The other day I said I hope we get back to 1.70 in a month or two and some people said I was crazy and that we'd have it back by lunch-time 2 days ago, and look where we are now. This is something we'll probably have to hold for 6 months, or maybe a year before we get close to a lot of the predictions that are being thrown around.
Exactly, as I was saying after earnings came out yesterday, the market focuses more on revenue and profit now as opposed to the raw earnings, at least in the short-term. I don't get why everyone was ignoring that on here yesterday
I sure hope you're right! Although yesterday we had people trying to argue we would see 3.00 today. I think with how volatile DPDW has been lately there's not going to be any easy way to predict which way we're heading. Signs are good as you said, but there could be another walk-down or who knows what.
Very true, I'm just worried about MM's being able to effect the price even after the acquisition, especially if it doesn't add to the daily volume eventually.
Are we even sure that when Mako finalizes that the price will increase? Just like with a positive earnings report it's not always the case that the stock will shoot up afterwards. With what we've seen MM's able to pull over the last month or so how can we even be sure Mako will help our positions any?
I'm still showing 1.50.
But will the next runup even get us back to 2.00, with how low we are now?
I sure HOPE it gets higher than 1.77 tomorrow, but honestly we have people everyday saying that it's going to break some barrier, and more often than not lately we end up taking a bath the following day. 1.77 at this point would be about a 40% increase as of the time I'm writing this. I hope we just get back to 1.70 within a few months.
Question: Not to sound pessimistic but why is it every time for the last couple of months that something ostensibly good happens, and people on here are talking about DPDW breaking through 3.00 or 2.50 the following session the stock tanks. At this point it wouldn't surprise me if the Mako acquisition finalized and we dropped to .50
I think you guys are jinxing the stock. Stop being so optimistic :P
lol exactly
Well also let's not forget that a growing trend in the market now is to focus more and more on revenue than the actual earnings. Of course this was a good/great earnings statement but that doesn't guarantee that tomorrow DPDW is shooting up. I've seen plenty of companies post great earnings and still tank the following session. Again I'm not saying this will happen here, but some people seem to constantly be saying that 'tomorrow we're going to skyrocket because...reason xyz'. Let's just all relax and enjoy the ride
whoops thought that said 3 p.m. not 4 p.m. on the earnings, my bad!
well it only went up 7 cents over the last hour after earnings...I don't think it's hitting 3 anytime soon.
You have the number you called? Or is it just their main customer service one?
Odd day so far...hasn't budged a cent
For a long time I would sell near peaks then buy back in when it dropped. I stopped doing that when earnings started getting close and I am absolutely KICKING myself right now. I took a bath on this one lol
UUUUGH what the heck is going on here? Even if earnings are great this week anyone that's bought in the last few months is still going to be in the red...can someone explain what's going on here? Is there something else going on beyond MM shenanigans?
I'm not gonna lie...I almost threw up when I saw that. My first thought was 'oh no...earnings came out and it tanked'....then I saw there was no bad news so that was a relief. Can someone explain to me how a walk-down works in this case?
AWESOME FINISH! Muwhahahaha I'm doin a dance here at my internship.
haha i see what you meant in your original reply now that i saw the JPG image...I thought you had meant the bid was at 5 or 6 lol
oh ok, I was in firefox, there's a problem with png images in some versions. I can see what you mean now about the 5 & 6 dollars now on the other MMs and Nite and all that, I get it! Thanks!
also so does that mean that it'd be possible to trade DPDW for 5 or 6 bucks right now, or would that not be feasible because of NITE undercutting them?
Oh ok, thanks!
p.s. The picture you attached isn't working!
I have a question: How can you see what the bid x ask is for each MM??
In the past I've sold after the little mini runs then buy back in the next day when the price drops a little, but I don't want to miss out on any breakout runs we get here, especially with all the news we're expecting.
wow....great news to wake up to!
That's absolutely gorgeous right there. That's like one of those examples you see in basic trading books. You usually don't see such a blatant obvious example outside of textbooks.
I am absolutely salivating at the prospect of earnings over the next week or two...I can hardly wait! I'm thinking that the next big run is going to be on the earnings, MM's won't be able to keep it down then!
eh, the bid & ask have been separated for several trading sessions now...
I have to say I'm getting a ton of experience in the ways in which MM's can manipulate a stock's price. 1.95 bid 1.99 ask on 28k volume? lol
