boca_bobby ..I'm wondering if we'll see any earth shattering PRs before the Expo?? Patients is a virtue.
skunksyard ... So how'd ya make out with the e-mail ya sent to Paul? Did he reply yet?
MuchCompensation ,I second that .
Don't be sorry!!! Gandalf would be proud!!!
Easy ...Guys... Easy... Holy crap! BTY.. Then Giants are up on the EGals!!!
Whewwww, Thanks Allie. So, initially, only the big boys get to play. Then, the commoners, like me, get a chance to invest.
Edited .. Thanks once again Allie!! I'll keep my eyes open.
Edited again .... I'd appreciate it if I'd could get a heads up when 141 will be available.
Awww crap!!!! I was hoping to throw a few dollars 141 Capitals way to enhance my other holdings. I thought since it'll go public that it really meant "public"!!!!!
Thanks for the info though ..... I think....
Thanks CHRISDDHD. So are commoners like me eligible to purchase stock in 141 or is that reservered only for the big boys?
Thanks 2Shea and airdale1. To me it looks like whatever way 141 decides to go public that potiential investors should have a heads up. Could the ground work have already been laid before 141 begins to do business?
Question for the experienced traders here. When a company is going to go public it's my understanding that it can start with an IPO or go pinksheets. I know that if going the IPO route that there's a tentative date and a opening PPS range given before the actual selling of shares begins. Does the same hold true if the company goes public via pinksheets?
I ask because of the statement that 141 Capital plans to go public and I'd like to think that we'd get a bit of a heads up on when that was going to happen and the approximate PPS.
Ineedmoreshares ..... I really do enjoy your posts and enthusiasm however I feel you may be starting to get a little personal in some of your responses. I'd hate to see you get banned for while by one of the mods.
Keep up the good DD I look forward to continually reading your posts.
Exactly!
Maybe this will help with what a perpetual license is:
http://www.oit.umd.edu/slic/faqs/q22.html
I view that like Microsoft selling you a license to install new software on your computer and only your computer.
Just as a thought gentlemen. I may all be in the intreptation of terms. A drivers license is perpetual as long as you keep renewing it at specified intervals. I wonder if by pertetual Paul meant that as long as it is renewed, it's perpetual??
I wish I had a perpetually renewing trading account so I could load up on more shares of Spooz and 141 Capital when they become available.
Hey coolmark ..... While I really do enjoy you're enthusiastic posts, intermixed with your panic at times, you may want to temper your statements with a "In my opinion" disclaimer at the end. Some people, particularly the ones that haven't read your posts before, may read this:
"next week is going to be huge,so everybody be ready....
as meaning you know something no one else does.
Just a suggestion.
Keep your spirits high and lets hope that we'll all be able to cut the ties with the workforce in the next few years!
Great post Gbathat!! Is there anyway to predict what the PPS of 141 Capital may be at it's initial offering. Maybe based on like companies /andor some financial data or are there still too many variables to content with to make an estimation like that?
I holding some funds to hopefully pick up some shares when they become available.
allie ..... Paul?????????? Did I miss something???
Very nice post Ineedmoreshares!!! I think those are the sentiments of most of the longs here.
I'm confident enough in Spooz and 141 Capital that I have a few more dollars on their way to my account to purchase 141 shares when they become available. If the shares are a bit pricey for me, there's always more shares of SPZI that I'll be able to get from the weak of heart!!
I agree allie. I feel that the initial PRs got a lot of people's attention. However, since most investors are inherently very cautious, I believe that the ones that are now showing an interest are waiting for a few more PRs that have some meat to them. Things like financials, percent of 141 Capital that Spooz owns, the launching of the several other endevours That Spooz has waiting in the wings, ect are the meat that will go with the potatoes that initially got their interest.
Just my opinion as usual.
BTW .... Good morning Spoozers!!!!
Imperial ...I got the humor (the hooka from Alice & Wonderland, ... The Jefferson Airplane 1967 album Surrealistic Pillow song White Rabbit" pretty much says it all. Yep ... I'm an old duffer.
Would it be far to call the Spooz board this weekend a FUD Fest???
To me it looks like the optimists far exceed the pessimists here. To some the glass seems half empty to others it's half full. Myself, I see neither, I see that the glass is too big. I feel more information is needed to quell the need for some to nit pick at symantics and heresay. Also with the additional news us optimists will gain an even greater feeling of the impending sucess for Spooz and us. Maybe when we get the right size glass the pessimists will feel a bit better also.
I'm ready for some updated news next week. Unfortunately it probably still won't contain enough or the right kind of info for some.
Maybe I'm talking about something else but here goes. I've sold stocks via my Scottrade acount and turned right around and purchase another stock with the proceeds, which happened to be Spooz. I was then infomormed that I was utilizing a free ride trade and could not sell the stock I had purchased with those funds for, I believe, three days. Of courseI had no intentions of selling.
Spooz is looking good and I feel next week could be the start of the PPS increase we're all anxiously awaiting.
Oppppss ... Thanks for the correction. My old mind isn't what it use to be.
I believe someone mentioned that GM trades at over $50 and has more shares outstanding than Spooz.
Thanks guys .... As I said before, this site is a wealth of information!!! Now upwards and beyond with Spooz .... More PRs to come.
Thanks ..... There isn't a capital gains tax on top of that is there?
Thanks mtncabin!!!
So ... Imperial... In reference to your comments about being civil, polite and professional. If we break that down into a simpler form would it be safe to say that it's similar to the old adage about "Catching more flies with sugar than with vinegar" ?????
Sorry about your disablility boca_bobby. And as enticing as that tax break sounds ..... I believe I'll pass!!!
Guess I'm still confused a bit but we'll probe into it it further on our own since this really is no place for that. I just thought someone would have a quick and simple answer but I guess when dealing with the tax laws..... There is no simple answer.
Now with that said ....... I am looking forward to the next PR and hopefully we'll find out more about 141 Capital and how we can get more financially involved ... Either in an IPO or a pinksheet listing.
Thanks Much and wing for your efforts. Looks like the person at work may have been correct. It looks like if you're under 59 1/2, don't have a hardship withdrawel or other exemption one would be taxed as income So the capital gains tax gets thrown out the window?
This place is a wealth of information
Thanks ... but I understand that part (capital gains). I was refering to what happens to large gains from within a Roth IRA acount if that account was used to produce those gains. Are there penalties incurred for drawing the gains out of the Roth IRA before you're 59 1/2 in addition to the capital gains?
OK Spoozers ... Hope someone can help me out here. In a discussion at work the topic of Roth IRA accounts came up. One person said that setting up a Roth IRA to trade from wasn't a good idea. He said that if you made a windfall profit and wanted to take some or all of the earnigs out before you reached 59 1/2 you be hit with the 10% penalty, income tax as well as the capital gains tax. I know about the difference in capital gains tax when holding a stock more than a year as opposed to less than a year.
Would someone get a double or triple whammy ( so to speak ) if they made a large gain on an investment purchased through a Roth IRA account. Anyone know a lot more about this me????
That they may skunkyard or they may have a good estimate. However, you and I aren't likely to find that out until Spooz or 141 is ready to spill the beans.
We may not know that until the IPO. I'm patient... I'll wait and in the mean time save some pennies waiting to see what the PPS is going to be when 141 is offered.
GLTY
All in my humblest of opinion.
skunksyard .... 141 hasn't had it's IPO yet. How can ya tell what the share structure will look like so early?
coolmark0123 ..... Don't take this wrong but you seem to be one that gets easily influenced by whatever some here posts. One minute the sky is rosie for you, the next the sky is falling. Chill for a while man. Relax, take deep breaths and let your money ride for the long term.
I'm a novice in the stock game too but I don't let these little blips ruin my day and don't expect instant results.
Time is on our side..
Just my opinion as usual.
That's part of your "333" coming out Whazoo!!! LOL
I believe I'll join you MuchCompensation. In addition to being rude, obnoxious sounding, bitter and and pointless his post reads like incoherent gibberish!!!
Wow.... this is quite incoherant and down right nasty:

That reply was rotten. Faith belongs in church not stocks. Watch Cramer. I believe? Your the CEO why dont you know? 2008? That writes off the rest of this year. Begin to see? SO 2008 is also a quiet period till you get your act together? In the south there is an expression " dont piss down my back and tell me its raining". Also while I am at it people at drive thrus get negative feedback all the time. Why should Paul be different?
If you're on some sort of meds I think you may have missed a dose or two.
In case I missed it somewhere, does anyone know if there was a timeline for the IPO of 141 Capital, Inc. I thought I'd start saving my pennies to make the initial plunge when it becomes available. Also, keeping in mind I am a novice, is there anyway to figure out what the initial PPS could be or would anyone hazard a guess??
BTW bocca_bobby looks like we think alike. Nice message to Paul and thanks for sharing.
