Despite what you guys may have heard, a few extra inches makes a big difference with the pipeline :D Go WGAS!
Oh yeah! The debt holders may realize theres a good chance they won't be getting shares with the pre approval for a loan. With oil flowing on top of that! We could move up fast. Jmo.
Let the oil flow! Awesome news!
Still early in the game! I agree, we are are just getting started :)
I agree. A lot of steady movement here.
Glad to have you here. I think our investments will pay off.
Just because they aren't making a profit now, doesn't mean they wont be. If you have any experience in the market, you should know this. Nice quarter IMO. Sorry you missed the cheapies kid.
Maybe closing doors was the alternative to the dilution? Why would they keep Volk on board if he screwed shareholders? Have you seen what he is getting paid based on boepd? I still think he's valuable to the company unless you know something more? JMO though.
This is what I can't wait for! Mason is going to stick it to those that dumped shares! It's going to be great for us when he gets this done.
I guess I expected it to react to the news/10Q moreso, but like I said I am in it for the long run, so I have plenty of time if someone wants to try and make a quick buck flipping it. There will be plenty of earnings to go around after I-1, VM-179, D-bar, and ST. Mason already has financing lines up and it will be a matter of time :).
I agree. I didn't expect to trade down today, but it did give me a chance to buy. I am sitting on a good # of shares and am happy. Just because people aren't paying a premium today, doesn't mean they won't be later. I still think we could use a little more exposure, but I agree with Mason's approach. I think it's good not to overhype a stock. In the long run we will be much better off and I would rather the flippers be out now. The 10Q yesterday was my icing on the cake as a long term holder :).
I bought today based on the 10-Q. I think we are just under the radar now, but will get more attention once we see revenue and profit at I-1.
SLME's website says that their focus is on I-1/Mustang Island, so I would say the answer is yes.
It looked like we were going to have solid support at the open. I ended up picking up a handful of shares :)
We are moving up quick on low volume! The 10 Q yesterday was definitely a positive! Big news on the pre-approval!
Great news again from WGAS!!!
I don't disagree with your analysis, however I think it's going higher next week. A PR regarding production will bring us higher. I don't think it's a good idea to rely on technical analysis, but time will tell. Best of luck.
X is a DD machine! Good week overall for WGAS IMO. I think we'll see a nice PR next week and move up.
I hope this a turnaround for you buddy. At least you can say you gave you business a shot. Further than most can go and you will have no regrets.
Nice! I have a bid at 83 but it didn't get filled. It looks like it might be moving back into the 9s.
I don't think that fits with Buffett's personality but that's scary to think about. Hopefully things settle down in the Middle East.
The closing of D-bar/South Texas? Do you expect Worthington to drill these before VM-179?
I think a rise in oil prices has an influence on WGAS, but a marginal influence compared to the larger companies that are already producing. Our biggest factor is I-1 and production rates currently, as well as our other assets that will produce down the road. I think many investors are holding out until they see production and the numbers. As I mentioned yesterday, we are dealing with proven reserves which takes most of the risk out IMO.
Couldn't have said it better myself. There's no guarantees but I like our chances here. Just a matter of time before we move to a nickel IMO. I think investors will really see some value here with I-1 and much more down the road. Thanks for your and everyone's posts/DD.
I researched similarly and after I did my DD on WGAS, I found more and more that made it appealing to me. I have been accumulating for a few months now and plan to hold my shares for the long run. I think we are in good hands with this company. I've seen other oil stocks that just don't follow through with their plans. Worthington is not one of those companies. We are on the verge of production and have more assets where we will continue to produce in the future. The great thing about it is that we are looking at "proven reserves". This takes the big risk of dry holes out of it. The oil is there and it's a matter of time before we get it out of the ground for easy money.
We haven't seen dilution lately and the OS is still low. I think more investors will come when we get I-1 up and running. The stock price won't stay down long IMO. I think many investors want to see the numbers before they pickup shares.
We know that Worthington means business and it is only a matter of time. Or that's how I view it anyway. Time will tell.
Obama and Romney are both supporting clean coal:
"Romney now opposes strong regulation of the coal industry and argues that carbon emissions should not be subject to regulation under the Clean Air Act."
"In turn, the Obama campaign launched a radio ad a week ago, praising the president's record on coal. It claims that coal jobs are up 10 percent, and that a $5 billion investment in clean coal technology is one of the largest ever."

Great news for AWSR!
This is a good site I found if anyone is interested in learning more about investing in oil companies like WGAS:
http://www.oilwellinvestmentcompanies.com/
Relevant article:
There are many instances where new wells are drilled in the same holes as the old wells which can even broaden the chance for a successful venture. Of course first the well must be analyzed to determine if this is economically feasible. In some cases it may be more economical to just drill a new well adjacent to the old one.
Statistics offer a very compelling reason for dealing with oil well investment companies who specialize in this type of operation. It appears that in most cases due to old equipment and poor drilling techniques, a very large percentage of the oil is left in the ground. This can mean substantial returns for the savvy investor who is fortune enough to purchase a partnership with a company that has acquired a lease on the right property.
Due to the very generous tax deductions allowed by the government and extremely low interest rates being paid by financial institutions, this could be the perfect time to invest in an oil well venture with an established and conservative company.
I agree. I also like the fact that Sivlermere's main focus is Mustang Island (it says this on their website). We will benefit as they continue production. This will help us move forward to VM-179. VM-179 is going to be HUGE IMO!!! I can't wait for us to build our first well there! 2500 bbl/pd!
I am happily holding my shares for the long run :) Things are looking good...I'm not worried about the short term stock price, although I think it is way undervalued here!
They are partners. They both have an interest in I-1 and Mustang Island.
What makes you think there is no link? I'm not sure we understand your concern.
Silvermere conditionally raised £629,000 last month to fund its share of the remaining tie-in costs related to initial production at the I-1 well. The company has a 33.33 percent working interest in the Mustang licence area and a 20.83 per cent net entitlement interest.
What I posted before:
As previously announced on March 9, 2012, Worthington acquired a 10.35% Carried Working Interest in the recently drilled I-1 well, plus a 2% Override Interest in the entire Mustang Island 818-L Lease, covering 14,400 acres in the Gulf of Mexico, from Black Cat Exploration & Production, LLC.

Seems pretty self explanatory to me...
Anyone else check out the chart lately? It looks bullish to me. Nice support above the 50 day MA IMO.
Up 19.8% today. We have a long way to go IMO.
WGAS is moving up nicely today! I like the progress at I-1. The news from the well has been timely and informative. I like knowing that we are invested in a real company that will produce. Actions definitely speak louder than words in this industry. Looking forward to further test results and updates!
Great post and reply. Sounds very promising. This week will be big for WGAS IMO.
Awesome! I think that's what we are looking at here :) I am probably going to pickup more shares if it dips anymore. Last call!
I think most of us here will respectively disagree with your post. After we develop VM-179 and our other assets, we will be producing several thousand barrels per day. I-1 is just the beginning and I-1 alone will produce enough to take us to 5-10 cents IMO. Best of luck!
