well I would hope no one bases their decisions in the stock market based on what i say, or what anyone else says. Everyone here should do their own DD and make their decisions. Just as everyone here talking about quick rebounds shouldn't entice anyone else into buying, me or anyone else here saying it may be a while shouldn't discourage anyone else.
To be honest, at this point I'm not so sure. The positive PRs haven't done a thing. As Chevdawg argued earlier in the day MM hijinks can't be blamed for most of the price drop now either.
So I'm thinking a government contract, or as others have suggested a strong 10K. If the 10K comes out strong and we STILL don't move, then I'll start to worry long term.
well there's also that massive wall around 1.20, about 5 million shares if I recall.
At this point DPDW would have to nearly TRIPLE to hit 2.10 or so again. It went fast from .70 to 2.20 last time, but that's not common, and you can't expect something like that to happen frequently. Plus we're not even sure where the bottom on this thing is right now, it might not be done dropping.
Just my two cents,
I was being somewhat facetious, but I do think it'll be quite a while
well they can be wrong occasionally...no one's perfect.
In a few years when we're getting close to 2.00 again I hope no one comes out with a 'see DR was right all along!'
Argyll,
It's been walkdowns and various MM shenanigans. I think that's pretty much been beaten into the ground. Even I accept it and I was one of the most skeptical people here.
I'd like a run into the low 1.00's sometime soon so I can sell off, wait for the dip, then buy back in at 150% of my original position before that initial sell..
well the problem is in interpretation, just as many people predicted a dip as predicted a bump. If you were only listening to one side or the other then you're either very satisfied or very scared right now.
Nothing rises continuously. If people here promoted it as such, the ones that were listening to them should've done their own DD, or said to themselves "wait, no stock rises continuously". I'm sure there was SOME pumping on this board, I have no doubt, but you can't have a pump without people naive enough to buy into it.
I had some spare money laying around, I bout in at
.66.....then I got a massive (for me) influx of cash and bought even more at a higher price, now my average PPS is 1.95....I could've sold at 2.25 I think it was, but held on, then it started sliding and I figured any day it'd turn around, and it just kept sliiiiding. Like I said earlier...might as well hold on to it now
well how long do they have to be right? If it takes 15 years to get to 2.50 is everyone going to be lauding DR for having such vision? (I'm not saying they're GOING to be wrong, but I don't think they foresaw this level of MM manipulation when making that estimate)
can I get a low interest loan from the bank of spooky? :P
down 60% here...I might as well hold on now, I have no need to pull the money out, and I'm not selling at a 60% loss, I'll hold it a decade if I have to in order to get my money back. I'm obstinate.
Anyone else wishing they had free funds to buy more of this? I have access to super low interest rate loans from my student status but I don't think I want to go that route.
Okay, so is there anything we can do to stop it, and if not what's to stop them from continuing this ad infinitum?
I'm not saying I don't buy into the MM theory, I fully support it. I'm saying that the last several PR's haven't made a positive dent in the price per share. It may bump up, but then quickly is walked/driven back down.
I don't think there'll be a big dumpoff, I think no matter what the 4th Q results are, it won't matter much. If you look at the last several PR's it hasn't had much of an effect at all. I mean, it'll shoot up or down, but then it balances back out. We're playing ping pong between .90 and 1.00 right now.
Wouldn't there be some sort of PR where they announce they intend to uplist? I think that uplisting is the last shot many of us are going to have at a profit any time in 2008 on this...at least for those that bought above the mid 1 dollar range. However I don't think I'd describe uplisting as imminent at this point, I haven't heard a word about that from DPDW, mainly just speculation here.
not as high as mine I'd bet :P
well true, I agree that it's a walkdown, but whoever made the original post there was saying that they're worried because this is the worst performing security in their portfolio. Since it IS being manipulated, wouldn't that be a reason to worry, short or long term?
well I'm holding DPDW right now, I didn't end up flipping it. But when I AM trading I will.
I think he's saying that he's worried because previously the PRs DID provide a bounce, but even with PRs now it's flat. I think someone described it as a slow bleed at this point. It doesn't mean it'll ALWAYS be like this, but it's like DPDW is in a prolonged 'recession' right now
I agree that it's bleeding, but I think a lot of that has to do with manipulations by MM's. I really believe that we're not going to get a profit (those of us above the 1.20s threshold) until we get listed on the AMEX or something.
yeah I figured that out as well....as students we have access to low interest loans, so you can actually use that as capital.
yeah, i saw the .92 x.95 2x3 this morning and canceled my sell order
Anyone here flipping dpdw? If so how's it working for you?
I've taken a huge hit on this, and I'm going to need to pull the money out of my accounts for grad school fairly soon. I'm thinking that because of the fairly cyclic nature of DPDW over the last couple months this would be a great stock to buy after one of those runs in the red we have, wait for the inevitable 7-8% climb, sell, then wait for it to bomb down again. I was wondering if I'd be the only person doing this? I need to make back some of the money I've lost here, and I'm thinking this may be a good way
the last time they rated dpdw as gold rush it dropped by double digit % the next trading day if I recall correctly.
yeah definitely hear that. The problem for me is that I loaded up on the run-up and I'm getting absolutely slaughtered right now.
true, but as long as we're not on a real exchange does it matter WHAT dpdw does? Seems like anytime it gets a little momentum it gets whacked by one MM or another. They can keep this thing down for years if they wanted, and what can change that, besides uplisting to a real exchange?
well true, DR does love DPDW, but do they take into account things like MM walkdowns and the such?
I was thinking the same thing...those of us that got in in the mid and high 1's aren't going to see a profit on this any time soon if we're not listed on a real exchange. I'm taking a bath on this thing right now.
muwhahaha I never thought I'd be rooting for oil prices to sky rocket
sorry, I'll stop doing it... :P
Seriously though what an odd day, here's a good sign though, we're having low volume but the MM's aren't pushing this lower like on previous low volume spells we've had. Good times
Yah, it's just the start of the day, let's see where it goes from here...remember it gained 30% yesterday there may be some people snatching profit and getting out.
so what exactly is going on here? Can we stop blaming the market makers? Bombing is bombing. I'm all for trying to be positive but it seems that without any PR's from the company there are no positive runs here. Last week people were saying that we were consolidating, it looks more like we're tanking.
(and yes, I would've sold by now but if I do I'm at over 50% loss so I might as well stay in...at least until a few months from now when I'm actually going to be needed that money for something)
I dunno if I'd call it a decent week...we lost money...seems like it's having trouble consolidating at a higher point.
Oh I know, Just seems like there's more red days than green the last month or so.
Lousy lack of volume days...Feels like anytime a little run starts we get a few days of relative inactivity and give it all back. le sigh.
Anyone else have any sort of idea when DPDW could get listed on the NASDAQ?
much like the rally monkey in your sig lol
ugh...there goes the week's progress lol. We just gave back everything that people were saying was a sign that we were finally on the upswing lol
