Request to moderators...can we put a sticky on a post that everyone agrees on to be a good simple accurate (as best we know) summary that give a clear picture (as best we know) of what is going on here. We need this post for benefit of new comers and simple guys like myself...so this my current understanding based on my dd...please correct me...1) we are changing our strategy and seemingly will not challenge abraxane as recent info clearly mentions that we will test unmet need after abraxane no longer works for patient... (seems to indicate to me we are abandoning phase 2b)...(2) unmet need is in regards to stopping cancer from mestatacizing...(3) no mention of ascites in recent prs but it is expected that these clinicals will be in future. As always please correct me if I am wrong in my understanding....
Rudy....every time I try to pull away from thinking that celgene would not buyout pmcb....I find myself thinking otherwise...that fact that pmcb is saying they will fill the unmet need when abraxane no longer works tells me that a handshake deal amongst the best pancreatic cancer experts is done...there is no longer a mention of phase 2b head to head against abraxane...hmmmm...according to our previous phase 2b our results beat abraxane...waggs gloat ed over this...now we have a different view? Von hoff is steering this ship pmcb and celg are providing the fuel...deal done...we prove this new clinical works we get a huge buyout...buy...buy...buy.
Holy schlitz...just had a chance to listen to that interview...wow...basically we are laying off abraxane (pressure from celg or smart decision making from mgmt to spend time and money elsewhere?)...that is the unknown...but there is no doubt(in my mind) pmcb and celg have had discussions to leave abraxane alone for now...they will remain gold standard...if this new direction works then pmcb has cornered a market...celg still has GS and pmcb has its own market share...when all is said and done celg buys pmcb for big bucks....that is my take.
Ahhh...is it possible that KW reads this board and saw the trouble that a simple guy like myself was having trying to decipher the different prs.....well then thanks kw....
Wendy..bull...coastal...rc....I think I am almost straightened out...I appreciate all the info...Wendy that kw interview just about did it.
I thought ascites causes the most pain? No?
Well....I don't think anyone set me quite straight yet....I see ascites being tested in humans in today's pr...after all can't just barge into human clinicals without doing your testing on animals?....oh...didn't we just test ascites in mice? 3 times?
Please read below..."pain associated with"
"The company also mentioned that it would be conducting its planned clinical trial for the pain associated with advanced pancreatic cancer tumors, as part of the company’s upcoming clinical trial. This is another brilliant move by the executives at PharmaCyte. By using the patients enrolled in its upcoming clinical trial to study the pain associated with pancreatic cancer, PharmaCyte is dramatically reducing the time and the money it will have to spend to study this important “Quality of Life” treatment, and at the same time, potentially creating even stronger data to present to the FDA from the clinical trial about to take place".
This new clinical is for ascites...right? Pr does not mention the word "ascites" but it seems like an ascites test? Can someone set me straight?
I am with you on that...someone (von hoff) with great knowledge and connections is steering this ship....
Wendy...one has to believe celgene is keeping tabs on pmcb...cell in box threatens their bottom line....that is a no no...these big pharmas hire people(spies) just to track and and analyze new technology...especially those that threaten their bottom line...what does celgene do about it? Accept it?...no! Try to discredit it? Maybe? Buy it? Most logical....
Lol....let's make this simple...very simple. Pmcb is a shell. Austrianova is using pmcb to get American interest...fda...these doctors know each other...this is the way gunzburg and Salmons envisioned getting cell in box to where it is now...please stop with the noise.
Don't know if anyone else mentioned it but TD2 brought Abraxane(current gold standard) thru trials for celgene...does anyone think celgene has no idea what is going on? Believe me...they do...never know...out of nowhere deals are announced...just my opinion.
Bio....I don't...anyone who does isn't doing their dd. Read the PRs carefully...and KW isn't going to have a CC for one person. What do you gotta know? Von hoff likes cell in box...so do 3 CEOS of 3 companies we have contracted for our upcoming trials...FDA gave cib ODD...Anne simpson has confidence in cib...lohr...hidalgo and crabtree on board...competent lawyer as CEO...salmons and gunzburg on board...etc...just do your dd.
Lohr's invitation to write on a celgene sponsored article...von hoff huge interest in cell in box (maybe on behalf of celgene as he bought abraxane to market for celgene)...and now these 2 snippets from yesterday's pr....
"it now appears that the small Silver Spring, Maryland, biotech firm plans to live by the motto, if you can beat them, join them. This week PharmaCyte announced that it has redesigned its upcoming clinical trial inpancreatic cancer to address a critical unmet medical need.
What does join them mean?
"It now appears that PharmaCyte has been advised that its treatment could work in concert with Abraxane plus gemcitabine in some way as part of a treatment regimen that offers patients a better option than what is available to patients today beyond the current standard of care (Abraxane plus gemcitabine)".
What does work in concert mean?
Is there something going on between pmcb and celgene?
Maybe I am reading too much into it....It would be ok to set me straight....anyone?
Am I reading this right? Is a partnership about to be announced? From today's pr it states pmcb has been advised that cell in box could work in concert with abraxane...is this a hint?...."it is this term, consolidation therapy, that caught our eye. It now appears that PharmaCyte has been advised that its treatment could work in concert with Abraxane plus gemcitabine in some way as part of a treatment regimen that offers patients a better option than what is available to patients today beyond the current standard of care (Abraxane plus gemcitabine)".
That's right Bio....today's pr is very significant ...maybe one of the most significant. Key words "unmet needs"...
So Wendy...can we say those mice studies were very successful? I think so? But we already knew that....
Beans....as evident in today's pr...this group makes another great decision.
I did not see the word but are we talking about a combo clinical trial for pancreatic cancer and ascites?
Does anyone really think pmcb will not replicate the results of our previous phase 2b?(beats abraxane results) Please step up....facts...we have same crew who successfully brought results from previous phase 2b....we have same ingredients (cell in box and ifosfamide)...I believe CNS was previously used as well...and we have same patients...humans. NO BRAINER....I believe we will have not only von hoff looking closely at this but also some invited big pharma bigwigs....I hope there is a bidding war....got my popcorn.
Wendy...tx....I have been urging waggs to do something about this obvious manipulation on the other board...this group of mms won't let this stock breathe...I think they clearly want pps to remain within a certain range...but...with the right news they will not be able to hold it down...I think there are many investors on sidelines looking at this and ready to jump in with the right news...this EMA news seems to have attracted a few....lot more money ready to jump in.
Don't worry beans....if you have read pmcb mgmt bios you will know that these guys will make the right decisions...there is no doubt in my mind that they have/will weigh their options and make the best decision for their shareholders ....btw...in my opinion...they probably have already received a buyout offer and refused it...I say this because our previous phase 2b already beats abraxane...this is a known fact. Big pharma knows this...I think mms were hired to keep pps down for hostile takeover....I could be wrong....you decide.
Expect another bump from EMA ODD....might attract European investors...
Hiya crabby...hope all is well.
You and I think alike....see my post.
So apparently EMA ODD is closer than anyone thought...could we get approval notice next week? I think that news could move this again...many investors look at these approvals to get into a stock early.
Why don't we make it an even .11 cent today? From here onward we expect news that will bring us closer to phase 2b...we might even get that EMA nod at anytime...bring it!
And that would generate an unbelievable amount of revs for any company that can control that market...pmcb initial tests look very promising....stay tuned!
Lol....hidalgo....crabtree....lohr....salmons...gunzburg....and a dash of von hoff involvement. That's what I am talking about...3 CEOs of companies pmcb is currently in contracts with give cell in box high praises...this is what I am talking about...FDA giving cell in box ODD is what I am talking about...EMA about to give ODD...anything else is noise!
Bio....I know your dd is complete as many others here...my own opinion is that it is quite possible that an offer has been made but not good enough for salmon's and gunzburg...the real decision makers here...my guess is that we are continuing as planned...moving forward...to the point where whoever wants this will be forced to give into buyout price dictated by salmon's and gunzburg....hold on to your shares.
With everything that is going on and a phase 2b approaching...one day we will wake up to find a big rumor circulating around internet...then kaboom! Of course this is my opinion but look at the mgmt team we have....the best in business ...do your own dd. Good luck!
Some have tried copying....they failed because they don't have what cell in box has...human body does not treat cell in box as a foreign body...immune system does not attack it...cell in box has conquered this aspect.
Austrianova did the right thing...the creators of cell in box decided to get this in the hands of an American company to put it in front of FDA. It worked...in my mind Austrianova is still calling the shots...after all they are on the Pharmacyte team...it has all been planned out to happen this way. Getting FDA to give ODD was more important than getting EMA ODD...assembling the best pancreatic team in the world was carefully planned and executed...goldfarb was not part of it so he had to go...in my mind von hoff has a big voice now in steering this ship. He has big connections everywhere. Watch out.
Goldfarb resigns....this is no big deal...no big loss....he is not a cancer guy but just left over from Nuvilex days....it's about time he resigned or was forced out...good luck goldfarb.
Personally...I think von hoff (with td2) is engineering a buyout....von hoff is involved here...heavily....von hoff has tested cell in box and he knows if it works...he has friends in high places and just bought abraxane through trials for celgene....use your imagination.
You know what I love about today's news....I don't think pmcb even cares about the mention of Abraxane....their days are numbered. New kid in town...soon to be new gold standard. Get used to it!
If we get a bunch of new buyers...we move to .10 in a blink of an eye....mind your shares.
Nice BioNewton!...FDA ODD...von hoff involved...Discovery channel broadcast...upcoming phase 2b....journal writeups...collaboration with UTS...crabtree(brought Taxol to market)...top notch mgmt....all points to this company being a success!
Is von hoff steering this ship? Again, his name is associated with pmcb...and Hidalgo makes an appearance...I am feeling real good about this company pmcb....
