So far it is! :D
Now why would you post that unless you just went long? You know it'll fly into the clsoe because of your comment :)
Heads up, may be close to crotch grab time... Hmm, that sounds fairly inappropriate.
The problem was that you guys forgot to go to the crotch. What's a baseball signal without a crotch grab?
Good idea. Let's try to remind each othre next week...
GOOG earnings next Thurs after hours, BIDU the following thurs. Premiums woul dhave to be sky high for goog with options expire and earnings the same day basically.
I just grabbed a few $370 puts at 1.80. I was thinking the same thing and ran my program on BIDU straddles a few minutes ago. They are pretty pricey right now, and my file shows that you'd average a decent loss with straddles at these prices, so I'm not going that route this time, I don't think. But like you said, with earnings coming up, my rpogram doesn't take taht into account since it looks at the last few weeks of volatility.
BIDU HOD. Did you ever sell out of those puts? Debating here.
Do they expire at EOD today?
Looks like options not trading yet.
LOL. Funny thing is the DOW's up 160+. Some other people are probably thrilled!
In 10 CRM $60 puts at 3.40.
OT: How does the DOW stay so strong, geez. A big down day last week and you had to think it was the start of a pullback, but it just pops back another 100 points.
I'm going to be busy today, but if I have some time tonight I may be able to create another program to go to Yahoo to pull option prices. Actually, not really pull option prices, but check to see if the step errors out (meaning there are no options on the yahoo page). Like I said, yahoo is not always totally reliable, but if they show options, I'd assume there are options...
Feeling any better today?
Who cares? They bolded it, so it must be good! I'm in for $100,000 worth!
SPNGE: Oh man, there's always a few of these guys:
#msg-42173949
"Good news for longs. With the stock suspended the position can not be driven lower until the 10k mess is straighten out."
OT: Possible reverse bounce candidates from harbs Friday request.
Here is the list of stocks that I found that have avg volume of $1mil, are up 150% in the last 9 months, and are within 7% of 3-month high. One thing I found is that if a stock was like $5 in January, went up to $20 in February, then dropped to $3 in June and has stayed there since, it would show up on this list because I just looked for a high that was 2.5x the low, and didn't check to see if the 3 month high is close to the 9 month high. So the list probably has more than you'd probably want, but I figured it was beter to include extras than miss legitimate ones. Also, not all of these are optionable.
Let me know if any of you have other ideas for criteria to run.

Tim, cmon man, you can't go around calling people lying degenerate trolls when all he said was he heard you talked to the SEC. You can
say the person who told him was lying, or just deny it, but why flip out like tha
t?
Nope, not a problem. I'm not sure how long it will take to run, but after mine's done I'll kick yours off. Probably will be a few hours of run time, so likely won't be today, but I'm not 100% sure.
harbs, I'm running a program right now that pulls data for all NYSE and NASD stocks and looks for the most volatile over the last month and 6 months to look at straddles on some of them.
Give me some kind of concrete rule and I can run it for you. Something like "Stocks with avg volume of at least $1mil and have increased at least 50% in the last 3 months".
Congrats! Your first?
When? Hasn't been that high in a while.
Nice!
Was watching it yesterday. Down like 70% in two days.
XMDC down 52%+
CPRX gapping down as well.
PGCR .0081 x .0082
Kinda OT, but regarding RVSN. A new low for "news" sites?
http://www.thestreet.com/story/10606070/2/radvision-pump-up-the-volume.html
"Investor posts on Internet message boards argued that Radvision could be in trouble unless a big player swoops in and acquires the company. Some investors argued that its current contracts with Cisco will likely be left intact, and that Radvision had to have seen this deal coming down the pipeline and should be prepared.
Some buy-and-hold investors seemed to welcome the pullback as a good entry point for shares, according to message board posts. "
He covered at .70 today though, so he's done bashing it for now.
CPRX a big loser for me today. Never really moved after that initial runup.
CBAI in the .006s again. Got a few at .0069
Nice bounce. I skipped it
PGCR going under .01 here
I'm a pro at #1 and #2!
"Plan of Bankruptcy effective immediately" Holy crap...
I may follow you on some individual shorts/puts, but never again touching the FAS/FAZ, etc.
PGCR new lows.
RVSN: seems like 6.10 is the new 6.20. Keeps hitting it and dropping.
I got some at 5.95 a few minutes ago. I want to see it get back near 6.50, but I'm sure I'd be long gone before then anyway. In other words, I won't be holding overnight, but I may hold the calls overnight if it doesn't move too big in eitehr direction the rest of the day.
Because you spelled EXBX wrong?
