apples and oranges
He said several times (if I'm remembering correctly) that there was some personal things going on in his life that were serious in nature. Hope he is OK. I did not understand his posts (randomness), but enfoyed them regardless.
Never mind, I saw his posts today after posting this.
William...glad you are still here. Much randomness to you.
What's with the I-HUB news/filings section...?
OT...Prof...I had a feeling you would get this right. The answer is 2.
OT ...Riddle
You are given 9 eggs and told that one has more mass than the other eight. You are given a beam balance to figure out which egg has the most mass. The problem is that the balance is a rental and you are charged by how many times you use it.
You are strapped for cash. (too much invested in a particular DVD rental company) What is the minimum number of times you can use the balance in order to discover which egg has the most mass, so as to minimize your costs?
(this is from memory, hope I did not leave anything out)
Who is JS? J/K
They may think it is JF asking LOL
Me too...eom
You're welcome Xanadu...eom
OT...A little humor for a slow day...
A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.
As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.
Morals of the story:
(1) Not everyone who s**ts on you is your enemy.
(2) Not everyone who gets you out of s**t is your friend.
(3) And when you're in deep s**t, it's best to keep your mouth shut!
Thanks Wick...eom
If I'm learning correctly, that is not good. Am I right?
Thank you...here's hoping for better times
Are we part of Midnight Gaming Campionship this year?
Thanks Mike...I see it now...
I'm not seeing a new home page. Could this be a regional thing? I'm in Colorado Springs.
Service question: I just noticed something while adding to my queue. Could someone tell me if it is new or am I imagining things?
The titles for the DVD's I have out or in my queue appear to be greyed-out, which makes things easier for me, where I do not have to remember what is in my queue or jump back and forth between queue and DVD selection screen. (saves time)
Service still great here in Colorado Springs. If only...
Monk...
I am not an accountant so please bear with me.
If they (GZFX) sells older DVD's at discounted rate and they also get to depreciate inventory for tax purposes, what do you think might be the bottom line cost of the DVD's, etc?
you've heard of them, my family has heard of them, so you can't say 'nobody has heard of them'
OT...better the Jets than the stinking 'phins...
OT...Go Jets!...I'm in too and have been since 04
Wick...is this what you think will happen here this summer? Hope not.
Best of luck and be safe. Thanks for all you do. God Bless.
I may have to get a paid subscription here so I can ignore everyone...the childishness is overwhelming today.
losses due to, in part, new DC's and inventory, not saying management is doing great job, but there are some legitimate reasons.
Thanks Agent...that's one of my favorite episodes...wish GNF could have some content like that to suppliment their schedule.
XAN...thank you for your service.
I hope we turn out to be crazy like a fox. GLTA
I must be crazy; just bought another 150000 at 0.0007. Average about 0.0006 now.
Thank you very much for taking time to explain.
So, in other words, if I don't want the write-off of the loss, the IRS does not care what I do or when.
Wick...Say I own 900,000 shares bought over the last 3 yrs, continually averaging down. By the First in, First out rule,if I sell 300,000 shares, for reporting purposes, I need to calculate the cost of those 300,000 shares and report the loss.
Is that correct?
Isn't the something called 'Wash rule'??? Stating that if I sell for a loss I cannot repurchase for a period of 30 days? If that is the case, how does one repurchase within, say 10 days, and not violate the rule.
Thanks for your help.
Thanks Wick
Wick...would that be 1/3 or less?
Good points...thanks for your thoughts.
We had one year to come with the 2mm (if I am remembering correctly, which is sometime this Spring/early Summer). Any increase in the investment above the initial 2m should be considered a material event and therefore PR'd.
Still confused and still hoping nothing shadey going on.
I believe that we were to invest 2mm, not 5mm.
If he used money from selling shares, then it belongs to us. And if he tries to pull that off, wouldn't those with the stainless steel bracelets be interested? Still confused...
Wick, was this the last disappointment you have been refering to? If so, what do you think is next?
If it was/is not part of GZFX, why was it in previous reports? I'm confused.
Thank you. Much randomnes to you...whatever that means...LOL
