I think it is something new, too. But a smart move, as far as I can see, would be to explain that, in whatever vagueness necessary- so that we realize that it is more than the tiny delay expected when it came to changing a few tiny clerical issues mentioned in the former PR.
When you suggest a timeline (even soon or shortly), you need to explain validate its change to some degree. Incorrect timelines when never mentioned breed distrust. And since most of us here are adults, we realize that things come up suddenly with a potentially break-through company like this- and we would probably be more patient if a change in the timeline was explained- even if, as I said, it would be rather vague. Extreme secrecy is sometimes required in these circumstances.
Really?
Sounds very possible.
"Legal puts a gag order on practically everything from a compliance perspective."
This might be why in our last correspondence, Sean talked about legal constraints in posting beyond standard releases.
And maybe this is why they are so strange (coy, like you said) about being more explicit about their former announcements and timelines, whose changes they never explain.
I believe there are better ways to treat us, though. The way they treated our brother during his recent visit was terrible.
Quite an effort. I thank you for that. You were extremely badly treated and that phone conversation was very disappointing. It shows me how little they know how to treat shareholders.
I think your speculation could easily be right. Something else may have happened that affected the clerical issue PR. SG talked about the difficulty of posting content beyond the standard PR because of the difficulty of his legal team vetting that content. The specific content was referring to a promotional proposal I made. I replied to that several times with no response.
I believe they are limiting their responses because of some kind of secrecy issues, which may be appropriate, as you mentioned. On the other hand, I think they could be doing this in a much more considerate and careful way- so that they explain more explicitly why certain messages did not work out on their suggested timelines.
I couldn't actually do that today. But if I could have, I would have probably made that level of investment. I don't have a crystal ball, but I have the same instinct.
This is my problem- not with the tweet, per se, but with the protocol underlying it- the context of the communication.
When you have said something that needs to be changed, then you mention it. And that something, in this case, was the tweet saying there would be a press release once a few clerical changes were made.
Obviously, something came up- but they don't explain what happened. They just talk about being flooded with requests for updates. Intelligent and respectful communication would be simple. As soon as they realized something had come up and that it was not just a few minor changes, they should have told us exactly that.
For instance- "We are sorry but we can't distribute the press release we had mentioned a few days ago (regarding the issue of making a few minor changes) because something has come up. We need to finish a component related to that new information that was more complex than we realized. Please just be patient with us. We will release it as soon as we can."
It is perfectly fine in business to retrace or modify a commitment if you tell people about it in a timely way. And if you are late on a commitment, you should refer to it specifically. Then, even though you are late, you build trust. Sometimes, doing this when needed, actually augments trust- because human beings are judged more when there is a tough situation than when the good times are rolling along.
You don't need an advanced degree in customer relations to figure this out. "Do unto other what you would have them do unto you."
AMEN
I didn't look at it as a collective communication/demand but rather as a communication/query and suggestions communication. I tried to make that clear but I suppose I failed.
Whatever the legitimacy of your or my approach, you have the perfect right to make up your own mind. I respect that.
Thanks for responding.
I wish you the very best in outcomes in everything you do, including this.
You know, you brought up the health issue the other day as an excuse for not participating in a collective action that was basically going to be a respectful letter showing our collective interest in changes in promotion and shareholder interaction.
I responded by telling you how little trouble it would be to act collectively.
But instead of joining with me, you decided to curse them out in a letter you send yourself.????
It doesn't matter if it was short. It was cursing out the people you partially depend on for an income. That does not give you an A in diplomacy. It gives you an F.
I am not against you, Beetle. I sympathize with you and I am also in jeopardy. But to curse people out? You rethink your strategy- and see if it leads anywhere.
Again, I am not against you. I wish you the best health and happiness in the world.
Actually, RobinJoy, you are really jeopardizing our credibility as shareholders when you use this level of rhetoric. This is a public board and there are multiple reasons you should refrain from speaking this way. You and Beetle are both hurting my chances of creating positive interaction with management. I do not want to be associated with this level of abusive language. In fact, neither of you really know what is happening- but, for sure, you are poisoning the atmosphere for those of us who are deeply invested in this company, either financially or emotionally or both.
Please cool your jets.
Extremely immature and non-productive.
What I see today is mostly negative speculation. That kind of speculation is mostly futile and psychologically non-productive. I note that most of you on the Board today, with one exception, were not willing to contact management collectively. I did not get my quota of even ten shareholders to help me, but I did get something like six including myself.
Actually, despite the negligence in management in promoting or contacting shareholders, this does not mean that we are being played. That my most recent email was not answered is disturbing to me. But not unexpected. Because I challenged them about certain legal restraints related to a certain type of promotion. I had hoped that a volume of shareholders would have attracted their attention. I really thought I needed more than ten.
Speculation and complaining appear to me to be self-destructive when you are not willing to raise your voice as shareholders entitled to respect and commitment to interacting with us responsibly.
I think that management has its reasons for its lack of activity- rational reasons based on reservations that I do not know and possibly would disagree with. There is certainly no excuse for making claims about taking action and not following through without an expculation.
Some of this speculation on the Board is very toxic. I always felt and still do that any communication with management should be positive and respectful and not threatening. This Board is public and you are broadcasting fear and doubt prematurely, particularly futile when you do not do anything to take responsible collective action.
Until I see you collectively change your tune and attitude, I intend to act alone. But if anyone decides to do something positive, I will co-operate. I am hoping that C18 decides to visit them as he mentioned. I will certainly give him my full support.
I think you're on the right track.
I'll try harder, I guess.
I guess I'm losing my sense of humor.
That's very interesting. Could you please tell us your source?
It doesn't look like I have managed to get ten members to work with me to communicate with management in a supportive and mutually advantageous way.
I believe this is the way we can change things in a direction we all want but there needs to be more of us who are willing to drop the bitterness, confusion, anxiety and make the effort. There are rules of manifestation- of making things happen- and one of the steps that I believe in- is to keep your goal in your mind in a positive way despite adversity.
I happen to believe in management- both their talent and goodwill- including their goodwill to their shareholders. They are probably some good reasons for these delays and lack of promotion. Yes, I believe there are- but I also believe there may be some better options in order to handle this situation.
I think we could help them- but not in a void of suspicion, upsetness and anxiety.
So I am dropping this project unless I find ten solid members who are willing to make a quantum leap.
Yes, The Dow is -13.28,
I totally agree. There are various people here who have a lot of experience and a lot of talent. But, unfortunately, we still do not have enough people.
Pretty sure I have six, though.
So it seems.
I believe you are interested in communicating with management collectively. If you are, it would be great. Anyway, here is what I posted today. If I can get enough people, we will meet tomorrow to organize ourselves and work out our first communication to management. Thanks, Dcd.
LAST DAY FOR SURVEY. It is called YOU CAN COUNT ON ME OFFICIAL VMSI MESSAGE BOARD SURVEY and is for people who want to convert their frustration, confusion or anxiety into DIRECT ACTION TO GET ANSWERS. To do this, I need a minimum of TEN MEMBERS of the Board to commit to creating a group to communicate collectively with Sean and VMSI management. If I get those members by next Monday, I will call a meeting on this Board the very next day on Tuesday.
If you want to be involved, please start your message with the following words: YOU CAN COUNT ON ME
and then write a sentence of two why you want to be involved.
At that meeting, we will elect someone to head this group (I am not competent to do that, but would like to help with creating content) and other members who may have various tasks down the line. After getting organized, we will draft a collective letter stating our need for more promotion and more shareholder interaction.
ALL OUR COMMUNICATIONS WITH MANAGEMENT WILL BE RESPECTFUL AND POSITIVE. OUR GOAL IS TO BE OF ASSISTANCE TO HELP VMSI GROW AND PROSPER. THIS DOES NOT MEAN WE WILL HOLD BACK ON ANY OF OUR SERIOUS NEEDS OR OPINIONS- BUT WE WILL EXPRESS THEM IN A USEFUL WAY.
Hi C18
Hope you are well.
I have you as one of the seven people I think are willing to go in with me to send collective messages to VMSI management.
I was wondering- are you still thinking of going to Irvine> If so, would you be interested in talking to them on behalf of all of us, perhaps taking a letter to that effect.
This is just a request. I support your going in whatever way you choose. Here's what I posted today. If I can find a few more people we can meet on the Board (not necessarily a fixed time) and decide what to do.

I believe you were replying to Dodigrec when you said you were on board to communicate with the shareholders. He had been responding to my request to join this group. I want to make sure you are interested as I want at least ten people to be involved and I think I have seven. We will meet tomorrow if I can get them. Here is what I posted today.

Thank you. Am contacting you today to keep you updated in regards to our survey for responding collectively to VMSI.. I may have found seven members. Am confirming them right now.
Will be having a meeting tomorrow if I can find enough people. I may have seven. This is what I posted today.

I believe that I can count on you for tomorrow if I can find some a few more members. I may have seven already, but some of them seem ambiguous so I am confirming them today. Here is what I posted today. If you think someone here should be involved in this, please contact them (if you wish to).

I was given a concrete reason- without certain details- about the reason for their lack of promotion apart from the formal PRs- and this had to do with certain legal constraints. I have just sent a letter to Sean asking him to clarify what he told me.
Thanks for your well-considered response. I appreciate your help.
I will be in touch.
Since I consider these price drops as quite serious, I have written Sean another level.
I hope- with all these questions, that more than just two people will join me in an effort to connect with management collectively. I will not do this unless I get ten people.
Management may or may not know what is happening with the seeming manipulation. It has been bother me as well.
I know the JFX post that you are speaking about, copesjct. But, after that, I replied to JFX that I had a recent correspondence with Sean and he did re-adapt his communication and gave us two updates immediately to assure us of his interest. In respect of that comment, JFX replied:
Ganjo, thanks for your reply. Open dialogue is what makes this board useful to all.
Long and strong on VITA
cheers FX
Now, of course, this doesn't mean that JFX agrees with me. I don't really know what he thinks now- except he likes open dialogue. But I think I have proven that communication can work and that Sean does listen to and can act on feedback.
Nobody is trying to force VMSI to do anything. We are simply sharing that a group of us is concerned about a few things. It is obviously their option as to know what they want to do. A consensus is better than a few Lone Rangers.
OF COURSE, I WOULD LIKE JFX AND YOU TO BOTH JOIN UP. Both of you are serious and could make a great contribution.

WE HAVE THREE. With you, RobinJoy and me. SEVEN MORE TO GO.
I AM TAKING A SURVEY. It is called YOU CAN COUNT ON ME OFFICIAL VMSI MESSAGE BOARD SURVEY and is for people who want to convert their frustration, confusion or anxiety into DIRECT ACTION TO GET ANSWERS. I agree with your comments on the negative aspects of this Board - and I think people should be much more careful- because a lot of people coming here will be turned off, even those writing mostly are really believers- with a somewhat well-earned chip on their shoulder. But even though they have a reason to be dissatisfied with VMSI responsiveness, some of the comments here (though often hilarious) do not help attract investors. And sometimes this Board might have a role in this.
However, I disagree with you about the company being too rigid to respond and take action. The reason for this is that I have recently corresponded with Sean and he has made an extra effort to update us. Partially because of my efforts and partially and probably because of other people.
I definitely agree. And I think that both of us- and many others- have put our money where our mouth is.
That is what he's doing. Buying more time. But think of it this way- he is thinking of us and alerting us that some things are going to happen soon- but may be reluctant to give the absolute timetable.
Yes, I am impatient- but I am very grateful that he is listening- and that is the first step in communication. And, since he is communicating, we need to clearly understand things from his point of view. If we are to give good feedback, it is better to start with empathy and compassion than imaginations of deficiency and bad will (which has been going on here for a while). There is a difference between acknowledging a problem and trying to solve it and immersing yourself in its potential bad consequences, especially when you are doing nothing to make it happen. (This is a generic "you." I am not talking about you, at all).
I just saw this now.
What it means is that Sean has become aware of the dissatisfaction we have about not being interacted with and is trying to give us a clearer understanding about where he is at with these PRs.
That does not mean I am satisfied with Sean's approach. I am aware he has certain legal constraints in his mind about certain types of promotion. Whatever they are- if they are keeping VMSI from promoting themselves so that the stock plummets into the Phantom Zone- there needs to be a better strategy that cancels out, overcomes or transcends those constraints. PR is absolutely essential for all this to work. And the fact that they have a protocol that does not guard against extreme price drops at this point could impact on the future0 when they get a lot more PR-oriented but it isn't enough.
Neverthe less think this should give some people awareness that he is listening- and that is a good thing. Still, I think we should shut down all the negative talk and start forming our own communication plan. With all respect, although I like speculation to a small degree, I prefer actually knowing something than imagining something negative.
Also, one of the components of real manifestation is that you focus on what you want and not what you don't. I don't mean there isn't some room for acknowledging deficiencies- but going on and on about incompetence, deception, alternative ways they may be spending their time- is counter-productive.
Why?
Because it is an opportunity loss situation. Here we are speculating like crazy instead of organizing.
But I still don't have a clear indication that a bunch of people on the Board want to do this. We need to find out who will and then create a collective letter that will be signed by those people.
WHAT TO DO NEXT?
STEP 1 POLL EVERYONE TO SEE IF THEY WANT TO WRITE A COLLECTIVE LETTER
STEP 2 MEET ON THE BOARD TO WORK ON WHAT WILL BE IN THAT LETTER
STEP 3 WRITE THE LETTER
STEP 4 SEND THE LETTER
THIS MESSAGE IS NOT STEP 1 YET. BUT WE SHOULD GET TO IT FAIRLY FAST.
Another point. Although I am willing to help write and design content, I am far less qualified to lead this kind of effort. After we get organized, I think we should choose a leader and share some other responsibilities with other members of the group. I do content development for a living and I am happy to continue in this capacity. But I want to see a true, experienced person in OTC stock step up to the plate. Someone we like and feel we can trust.
You all saw this last tweet?
We have our press releases planned but are just finishing a couple of clerical details prior to our next release. Per my last tweet, we will have a progress update on beta following our next $VMSI announcement.
