Sorry Tex- Just read your last post after I posted my thoughts from earlier posts. I am done, too. Hang in there and GLTA
Deposit/No Deposit...
Whether or not you think deposits are important, the following portion of the PR about Xpress is what is important. IMO
Portion of Press Release: 3/3/06
As part of the order, Xpress has signed an exclusive agreement on using Homeland Integrated Security System software. Homeland Integrated Security Systems will be fulfilling the order immediately.
"As part of the order" this tells me it was more than just a phone call. They have a signed contract which means they are obligated to pay and can't back out. IMO They are also confident enough in our company to sign an "exclusive agreement" which tells me they already have sales lined up. If not, Xpress would want to bring in competition to see which models sold better, but they can't under the agreement.
And don't forget this is a follow up to a PR on 2/1/06. This is a good example of connecting the dots. Obviously the trip from the 2/1 PR is paying off. Xpress probably lined up sales from our previous trip. Maybe we left a sample for them to test the market with and to use for pre-book orders??? Just a thought.
Title of Press Release: 2/1/06
Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc. Delivers First Products to Middle East and Begins Testing With Xpress Cellular in the Country of Jordan
Anyway, the PPS will rise, but calls for more patience. Believe me when I say that I am getting tired of being patient, but it will be worth it. I hope. Remember when the last two weeks before Christmas seemed to take forever? We are kids and HISC is our Christmas. IMO
Good luck to you too, Whiz.
OT: Spence, there is a security company here in Clovis, CA. that provides systems of all kinds. They do business all over the world and they are located about 20 minutes from my house. The company is Pelco. If you want some information, you can go to www.pelco.com or PM me with your stores size and number of doors and what you are looking for and I will check for you. I know some people who work there and I don't mind.
I know they work with businesses of all sizes.
P.S. In California we have to let them get out the door in order to arrest them. I stopped a 15 year old boy with a bottle of vodka IN his pants and he was about 10 feet from the door and the cops told me since he was still inside the store it was not shoplifting, go figure. The cop did site him for "attempted petty theft" which he said is seldom used, but it allowed the kid to sweat it out. Get this, then the kid gives the cop a false name so he was arrested for that. LOL
sonjam- You sound suspicious. IMO
OT: Just got in Spence and read your post. Man I understand your frustration, but not their motive. In my days in the business I saw some amazingly stupid things as well. Back in the day when cigarettes were on turnstyle displays in the store and customers actually helped themselves I watched a guy who did not even hide what he was doing.
Picture this; A man about 6'-5" weighing approx. 260lbs. walks in one door and takes ONE pack of cigs. He walks across the front of the store with the pack in his hand and walks out the opposite door. I told the manager as he walked out the door and he told me to chase him, cause he wasn't going after him for ONE pack. Needless to say, I was not going after him if my manager wasn't, at least not for my minimum wage job. The dude had on Air Jordan's (over $100) and an NFL parka (over $150). Some people just ain't worth the brain cramp trying to figure them out.
When people like the thieves in your story get desperate, rational thought goes out the window.
Remember: For every idiot who treats you that way there are a hundred who are grateful for your business and appreciate what you do. Keep your focus on them. As the Penguins in the movie Madagascar said "Smile and wave boys, just smile and wave".
Thanks for the deletions
OT: Spence, just put in a Dora the Explorer video and she will forget all about the shoes... at least until the video is over. LOL
Have a great weekend!
Big- They are called OPINIONS...
Usually based on experience. IMHO
Thanks Spence, I will take that as a compliment.
I am ready to celebrate with you, in person if this thing takes off like it should.
I'm staying patient and optimistic. GLTY
Nice post
Minor detail - That agreement was not yesterday, it was in October of 2004.
A Team- Nevermind, I found it. Thanks again
Thanks A Team. Is there a PR I can pull up to read on that deal? I pulled up EXIM website, but could not find it. TIA
Naik- I agree. At this point I will take what I can get. This is the best PR in a while so I will give them a pass on detail, for now.
Naik- I would say that we will get paid upon delivery of the CTs. I can't imagine we would give them to a company oversees on consignment. If so, that should have been mentioned. You don't place an "order" for consignment.
RCP is right that we probably do not get any recurring fees. Good news, though, now let's see the proper reaction to the PPS.
Now That is real news. eom
OT: Tex- Just like Toby Keith says...
"I may not be as good as I once was, BUT I am as good ONCE as I ever was".
RCP- You said that PRs are good for the PPS?
Can you elaborate since today's PR had the same affect as many of the previous ones.
See post #22943.
I know you think I am bashing, but the evidence does not lie.
Maybetoday- I do still think that HISS is a good company and will hopefully make us all a lot of money, but for now we just wait.
GLTY
RCP- PRs have not helped!
(1/16 PR) Four days later? down about 10%
(1/22 and 1/24) Two PRs - end of week? no change
(1/31 and 2/6) Two PRs - we drop from .043 to .025
(2/16 PR) Yeah! This jumps us from .025 to .047
Since then we have continued to decline to today.
Today's PR?
These are facts so I am not bashing. This is the reality of it. REAL investors do not get swayed by this type of news. I am a part time, small time, new investor as of last fall and I am aware of these simple concepts.
Still patiently waiting for news and I will celebrate.
Happydog- I agree with the civil part. I mentioned civility to RCP earlier and he seems to be running with it, at least with others.
I have patience and my comments are meant to be civil, but when any PR comes out it seems like certain people always have to say "GREAT NEWS" or something to that affect. When PRs are simply updates, I do not see them as great news. I know we will not see anything significant until the merger/acquisition is done.
I believe no news is better right now. My patience does not require "updates". Obviously the market does not react positively to our PRs, most of the time.
Your comments are well taken by me
Nicely put Neutral. eom
Well put, Ronald. Ditto! eom
Dallas/Who - I guess you two explained yourselves better than I since RCP only responded to me. Obviously we are on the same page, at least as far as this PR.
Good luck to all, especially those who ar long and realistic. Sorry my rose-colored glasses broke along time ago.
I did read what you wrote. Why do you always sound confrontational when you write? Are you bitter because I did not agree with you. Clare did not attack me. Seems I am not alone in my "interpretation" of this PR (fluff).
You sound more and more like a pumper not a moderator. I expect to argue with classmates, but I expect the person in charge to conduct civil debates.
If you were expecting in 9 days, I could understand it.
Well put, Whocares. eom
RCP- I already had the perception of the CT growing in popularity. I am very surprised you did not already know that based on previous PRs. There is no "lack of perception" on my part, just lack of any new news. If I missed something, please tell me what you saw, or interpreted. Clare just did.
Clare- I will not argue that point. It might peak the interest of a new or potential investor, but from my standpoint, and those who have been invested a while, it does not change anything. I am staying positive and hoping for good news soon, but this was not it.
GLTY
This PR (fluff) is meaningless. It is like feeding a T-bone steak to a Vegan. I love a good T-bone, but it is worthless at this point. There is nothing "remarkable" about it.
As a believer in this company, I do not need to see fluff, I want to see real news. No news is good news unless it is real news. Please put out numbers and facts, contracts and deliveries.
You might be a basher if...
You have never once even said a positive word about this stock
You don't own this stock, but still waste our time posting
You cringe every time this stock moves up .001
Your mother and grandmother are the same person
Your idea of a four star hotel is a really big RV
You don't have any facts to back up your claims
Your idea of fun is heckling kids at a little league game
And finally...
You might be a basher if you are reading this and are taking it personally.
Disclaimer - If I have offended anyone, I am sorry. This is not a factual document nor should it be considered hate mail. If you think the previous statement is stupid, you are probably right. Have a nice day.
Remember - It is not whether the glass is have full or empty, but rather how big is the glass and what is in it.
Begood- If the report exposes our little PK to more investors, even if you say we are on a down trend, then they might investigate who we are and see long term profitability. The down trend will be very minor compared to the UP trend, if you believe in this company, therefore the exposure turns your negative into a positive IMO
We just keep waiting.
GLTA
Homer says "Mmmmm wiggily lines"
Catty- That was my first impression too, but it is better last then not at all. Maybe Frank should plant CTs on everyone as they leave and then show the ones who stick around how they work.
Emilson- I do not know...
Sorry I did not get back to you right away. I had to take my kids to school. I have not even tried to guess as to what company we might be dealing with. I will take a look at the companies you researched a little more later this week. My real job has me on and off the computer, working at home sometimes, travelling to different places in my area. That is why you might see me post several times and then not at all for a while.
Thanks for the research on your part. I just hope the current stockholders don't get squashed in this deal. I am in no way an expert in stocks. Just do what I can in my spare time.
GLTY
Jagman- I agree that the logistics may be a little overwhelming at first, but if we start the process I am confident we can tackle the situation and make it work. Remember, we can't improve the process until we start it. If we start the concept with one truck, one CT and build it from there we can build a system with thousands of units.
Examples of improving technologies:
- Cell phones of the eighties
- Internet
- e-mail
Remember the personal computers from the 80's?
Hang in there, we can do this.
Jagman - The benefit of tracking...
Tracking trucks after they leave the port can help a lot since the CT can be programmed with a "road map" so that the vehicle can not stray form its route. Many tings being smuggled are on innocent looking trucks that disappear because once through customs, they take the vehicle to an alternate location and off-load the product and then return to the original route and deliver the intended load and no one is the wiser.
I am not an expert, but this is a very basic feature that can help in many ways. Remember, security is not just from nuclear weapons, or as Bush would say, NU CUE LEER.
I am all for being critical, but please do a little DD into the capabilities of the CT.
Souza, I did not see it, but...
According to our company, yes it would be able to inspect ALL containers without any undue delay. The containers are scanned in a similar fashion to you walking through a metal detector. The containers can also be scanned while the crane operator off-loads the containers from the ship. Extra time needed 0.00 seconds since this happens simultaneously while off-loading. Again, if you believe the company.
GLTY
How about scanning EVERY container...
That is a pretty big gap as well and our Cyber Port System, supposedly, will do that. If this system works as planned every single container can be scanned for Radiation etc.
Go to the website and click on the cyber port system.
Sanswired, I know I am in the minority here, but I do not believe Lacy is a basher. Negative does not equal basher when they are real concerns. I have had conversations with her and she seems like a person with real concerns and if they are negative, so be it. IMHO
Good luck to you and me and everyone else with a stake in this thing.
Kook, I watched and was LMAO. Thanks! I took it as humorous, not political, and I enjoyed every second of it.
I saw the post on RB first this morning. Thanks for all the posts, serious and otherwise.
