I had an idea in my post 2 months ago that there would be a joint venture news release and here it is.
We will most likely get some news soon on the samples being assayed too and that can be a real share price mover.
It will be interesting to see who the joint venture partner is. That news should be any week now, IMO.
It might be one of the equipment suppliers of the "new improved gold recovery system currently under development". That would be great because it may mean less dilution. Maybe...
Imagine if it was one time billionaire Eike Batista who bought out Ventana Gold. He could use another goldmine. That would raise some eyebrows.
As crazy as that sounds, the ORFG Chairman of the Board, Dr. Hans J. Bocker, is an internationally recognized gold expert. I'm sure he has some major contacts.
Who knows? This may be a pos or it may be a 100x, multi-bagger, time will tell...
No mystery here. It's not the MM's ! Penny flippers hyped it up and penny flippers bailed all to be expected.
It's obvious that most lost money or are bagholders.
But... there is great potential here and I have bet a lot of shares that the share price will be over .01 again in the not too distant future. With the right news it could go much higher as hyped.
Thanks to all selling between .005 and .006 !!!!!
This is an "ethical gold" (Google it) play. This is the future of gold mining for suppling jewelry companies like Cartier.
It's a great idea to empower the locals to self-incorporate. ORFG has a local, highly motivated, experienced work force immediately.
There is gold there. Ventanna Gold which was close by was bought out by a private, gold billionaire for $1B.
ORFG needs to put out a news release that shows progress in development or revenues.
Dilution must be coming but that's a good thing for this company because right now nobody knows if they can get the $$ to develop their project.
Plenty of potentialy price moving (up) news could happen anytime.
Always keep some powder ready for panic sell-offs!
Just holding to see what happens.
Hope????
I bought low and plan to hold until I see how the business plans play out and maybe get a decent profit and that's it. Not much money put in this one...yet.
Good Luck
They say they are going to have some samples assayed which is ususally done by independent labs so that is a potentially big plus if the results are as good as the historical samples.
Also, in the news release they mention a "joint venture". A joint venture means that other companies will have a vested interest in getting production up to speed. Maybe we will hear about who and to what extent of financial participation other companies will have in this joint venture.
From the last news release:
We are about due for at least the 2011 10k filing.
I'm very patient with this investment because many of the shares I bought last year are approaching long-term capital gains status and here in the USA, that can mean a max federal tax rate of about 1/2 of the short-term cap gains rate if the share price rises like most here hope.
In the USA, short-term capital gains are taxed at the individual's earned income rate and are additive to one's earned income.
So a married couple with income and short-term capital gains of $450K or more are taxed by the Feds at 40%. Add the state tax depending on the state and an additional 3.8% max Medicare tax on cap gains and it's clear the long-term max cap gains rate of 20% (up 5% for 2013) is really worth holding for.
Considering the risk in trying to pick a stock winner, makes one wonder if it's worth trading stocks short-term especially if one is already in a higher tax bracket.
More news coming soon,I think. <eom>
Great news. Moving forward.
Drilling program nears.Time running out for buying shares in this price range, IMO.
From the May 24,2013 news release:
100,000 oz/yr x $1,430/oz = ~$145,000,000 per year gross.
Minus operational costs and royalties and taxes etc.
But if they actually get near that level of production, they will likely be bought out just like Ventana Gold.
They have not issued any shares...yet.
They increased "Authorized" shares to 850M.
Of course that is usually a precursor to issuing new shares but for now, we don't know how many shares will be used to finance building-out the operations.
What investors don't know the difference between issued/ outstanding shares and authorized shares?lol
They are up to something here, but not sure what exactly they are planning. See my post below from Oct 31,2011 I am replying to. They were looking into rm into a shell for an IPO in Germany.
There should be some sort of financial news release soon because so far there hasn't been anything about where they plan to get the funds to build the 20 - 40 ton per day mill.
ORFG is a neighbor of the former Ventana Gold in Columbia as it says in the I-Hub intro.
Ventana Gold was bought out by AUX in March 2011 for something like $1.5B.

It seems they left out the detail line in the news release that would explain the "EXPLORATION FUNDING" in the title.
It should be at the least to initiate the drilling program.
In their previous news release they said, quote below, that the drill program was essential and being planned.
Do they need help preparing their news releases? Answer seems to be YES.
But...still good news and Goldlake still funding.
I hope it doesn't take another 6 weeks to see the 2011 10k filed and clarification of this news.
Press Release: Soltera Mining Corp. – Tue, Apr 2, 2013 9:15 AM EDT
One month since the 2009 financials were released. Someone needs to light a fire under their ___ .
These guys move at a snail's pace.
With that said, from posts here lately it looks like we are looking at a winner here eventually.
They should have a drill date/plan already.
It's not like they had to wait until they issued the news release about the survey results before planning their next moves.
I bet they knew there was "satisfactory" amounts of gold weeks before the news release.
Production in 2013 looks like wishful thinking despite the fact that Goldlake said in a speech that they were hoping to produce in 2013.
I understand that the drilling program is key now. Hopefully SLTA can get the plan and date announced soon.
It's already April so completing the drilling program in Q3 is probably the best we can hope for.
Anyone have an idea how long it might take? And, is getting it done this year realistic?
Experience here so far is that they move very slowly. Finances and the latest resource report seemed to take forever.
But before that, we do have other big news opportunities like Goldlake financing and possible takeover.
Next Thursday:Third Annual New York Gold Conference April 11 - 13
Should be news/info of some sort coming out of the conference. Probably not from a news release but from a Goldlake speech.
Who knows? Maybe something about Goldlake's continued funding/interest in Soltera or even something about the Cartier agreement?
We'll know a week from now...
Resource report out. <eom>
Goldlake at Gold Conference 2013.
Third Annual New York Gold Conference April 11 - 13
Only 2 weeks away.
T/A on illiquid, pink, story stocks like SLTA is most often not very telling.
With that said, it doesn't hurt that the 50 day MA just crossed above the MA200 on the daily chart. That's an indicator that, along with others, has worked for me timing an entry in the past.
Anyway, I'm expecting some serious buying activity from Europe first. Looking for a European financial entity to be ahead of the pack and decide to take a position. I bet there is more than one with an eye on this stock because of Goldlake.it's (Italy) soon to be controlling interest.
IMO, future dilution will be in the form of more shares to Goldlake and I have no problem with that. No need for toxic financing here with sugar daddy Goldlake involved, right?
Audited financials are great. Getting 10Q's every 3 months will be helpful considering the lack of communication in the past.
Looking forward to the exploration report. If good, we could see some real demand for shares, IMO.
From the 3/19/13 news release:
Good news! <eom>
It is fully functional now. Looks very good and ready for new /potential investors.
Has a nice contact form. I took the liberty of using it to whine about lack of communication. I'm sure that's what they were hoping for. haha
Market Makers like to make money somehow and shorting the stock to make a market is fair game even as they artificially tick it down a bit and get a few people to bail whose sales push it down further and allow the MM's to cover at will often with shares they already own for a nice profit. I think we saw/see that activity here especially in December. The stock was ripe for the picking by MM's with EOY, impatience and boredom selling expected. No doubt some retail sellers walked right into it.
I have seen MM's do this for years and I saw a link on that page actually explains this type of MM behavior very simply and succinctly.
http://otcshortreport.com/blog/john-lux/a-short-seller-manipulation-technique-used-by-otc-market-makers/
Yes, this is huge volume suddenly for SLTA.
I have seen this type of trading before when volume picks up after a long wait for news. 25k shares at .185 a week ago and a sudden price drop and volume up at .10
I lean towards the thinking that it is not just a dumper and something's afoot.
Nice close. Imagine where the price goes when some real buying demand kicks in. Imagine when buyers want 100k blocks.
It could happen...
There's got to be a lot of news stockpiled by now.
Financials update, funding update, litho-geochemical sampling update and assessment, ground geophysical survey update, drilling program status update, start date of production update.
Ambrian lawsuit public update.
Goldlake/Cartier update...
It's the middle of Summer in Argentina...I'm sure they've been busy.
And I'm sure they are aware that their loyal shareholders have been more than patient...
jackfrost, great news! This lawsuit took over 2 years to finalize. No small thing. SLTA is now clean of outstanding investor or third party lawsuits. That's important.
The key word here is "stipulation". This means it was an agreement between the opposing attorneys. We saw this same statement, "Vacated - per Stipulation and Order" early in the lawsuit and also last July when they agreed to try to settle out of court. So...since they have already delayed this thing for too long, maybe they have agreed to settle this thing.
http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/stipulation
It's not a positive when a legal team doesn't show up for a court event. I guess it's more positive for Soltera. Also, in the prior minutes it said that after they were unable to settle, Ambrian brought up arbitration but said they didn't think the defendent Soltera wanted to talk any more. So it looks to me that Soltera thinks they have a good case and are ready for a bench trial.
Ambrian has its work cut out to prove: 1. Claim for unjust enrichment. 2. Misappropriation of trade secrets.
Fabio has been a geologic consultant for the UN and Goldlake currently mines gold in Honduras so how do they prove Soltera and Goldlake made decisions based on Ambrian trade secrets? We'll know in only 2 weeks.(The trial is #1 on the STACK so it's go time)
I think 2013 will be a great year. It is important to realize that for Goldlake, Soltera/El Torno is not just another resource for ethical gold to supply Cartier and nothing more. It also is very important to Goldlake and Cartier to prove that the project in Central America can be replicated worldwide. El Torno is the first expansion and they intend to produce gold there in 2013.
See the video titled "Daniela Colaiacovo, Founder and Director of Goldlake Group." http://www.goldlake.co.uk/Media/Video_Goldlake_Colaiacovo.aspx
Near the end just after the 18:00 mark should help those who need some reassuring how important Soltera is to Goldlake.
Patience is still in order as hard as it is for me to say that.Haha Can hardly wait for the resource report.
Disclaimer: All in my opinion and do not make any decisions to buy or sell based on my posts.
Looks like we will have to be 2 weeks more patient to get that Ambrian lawsuit behind us. 1/7/13 triaL date cancelled and the new trial date is 1/22/2013.
Again, any parent company taking full ownership of another company includes taking over the company's debt and its legal liabilities. IMO, we will not see any takeover of SLTA until that lawsuit is out of the way. IMO
It's possibly the reason the financials are delayed and causing confusion.
But...maybe we get some news on the resource survey and any drilling they may be doing there. Any good news and the share price goes up fast. In the mean time we can buy a few shares for cheap.

The financials release will be an important event that's for sure. But I am much more impatient for the resource survey release. If that is as good as I hope it is, nothing else matters.the share price will move up fast.pink sheet doesn't matter.any other progress will just add fuel to the price rise.IMO they announced the survey was half way completed early October so we are very close.too bad for those who sell now.they may really regret the timing of the sells, IMO.
Goldlake is a great, honest, ethical company,IMO. They have continued to execute their business plan with funding to Soltera as expected. It will all come together in the next several weeks,IMO.
Soltera has a lot more than 2M oz at ElTorno, IMO.
Goldlake will take over Soltera, IMO.
Investors here who are patient and don't lose their cool will do very well, IMO.
I hope they get those financials out. Many of you have been strung along for years. If they have a reason to delay release then they need to communicate their plans.
With that said, if Goldlake wants to takeover SLTA as a shell, it's in their interest to pizz off the retail shareholders into selling their shares. More money for them.
I think everyone here should contact Goldlake and/or Soltera and let them know it's about time for some communication on this subject. Then see how they respond...
My last point was simply that I don't think Goldlake would want to completely take over Soltera until the lawsuit is dismissed. I hope that was obvious.
I don't know what Ambrian is asking for. I do know that lawyers will do whatever they can to minimize damages and go into a quiet period.
I have been clear that I will add shares at this level and that we have just around 6 weeks (hopefully even less) to do so before much is disclosed.
Just in my opinion and of course everyone must do their own DD and make their own decisions and not based on any posts here especially mine! This post is for entertainment purposes only.
Let's remember that the Ambrian lawsuit is against Soltera, not against Goldlake. If Goldlake were to formally take over Soltera, which many here think they are planning to do, then they would, of course, take over responsibility for the lawsuit. Now that wouldn't be a smart thing for Goldlake to do. I think the lawyers are in control for now and it's not the first time I've had to endure the uncetainty of a pending lawsuit.
Hopefully I am wrong about the timing of events. I would like to take some profit in 2012 before Obama's capital gains tax hikes go into effect in the US for 2013. But buying a little more at these prices for 6 more weeks isn't so bad either.
Yes and if I was Goldlake I wouldn't release the Assay reports until after the Ambrian trial date of 1/7/2013, just exactly 6 weeks away.
A lot of info will be disclosed at trial and I think all of the info and developments we have been waiting for will be disclosed shortly threrafter at the latest. JMHO
Yes, I agree. Everyone concerned should contact Goldlake (they are running the show IMO) or SLTA and ask for some kind of public update. A news release or even just a letter to shareholders. It's about time they disclose the financials release status publically.
Personally, I still think they are simply not as concerned about releasing SLTA financials as us retail investors. They have bigger plans, IMO. But hopefully they will respond to concerns.
I don't think the lawsuit is necessarily causing a delay in release of the financials. My WAG (wild ass guess) is that the release is not a priority for Goldlake. Maybe the delayed release is a strategic play for reasons unknown? Maybe they don't want to see the shares trade or a lot of interest in SLTA stock?
Of course it doesn't take several months to get financials done. They could have had them done and released a year ago if that's what they wanted to do.
I think the news release below (my bolded text) has a lot to do with the lack of information; they simply are still working on their plan. They said that "about half the ground geophysical survey over selected portions of the 70 square kilometer area has also been completed. The results of this test work are being assessed."That was less than 2 months.
So IMO, we just have to be patient a little longer.
Again, in my opinion, they are just getting all of their ducks in a row: financials, Goldlake takeover, El Torno geophysical survey, Ambrian lawsuit closure, ramping up for a drilling program/production and probably a few other "ducks" we don't know about. I'm sure they have a big plan to deal with all of it.
It's Springtime in the Andes and they are sure to be working because Goldlake has stated that they look to be producing in 2013.
These message boards are for entertainment purposes so if the company is keeping its cards close to its chest as I rightly speculated months ago, then speculation takes up some time while we wait. There is an ignore feature to ignore posters like me.
Soltera Mining Receives Further Gold Exploration Funding
Press Release: Soltera Mining Corp. – Thu, Oct 11, 2012 9:15 AM EDT.
It's all about Goldlake. Goldlake is really putting money into this. Goldlake's website has Soltera in its projects now. Who updated their webpage?
Anyway, they are still in a lawsuit. Anyone who actually knows about such things, knows that it would be extremely foolish to overly promote the value of a resource that a judge will be looking at to determine a $$ figure judgement if the court finds for the plaintiff.
We need to get past this lawsuit. I am happy to keep adding shares while we wait.
Looks like they didn't settle the Ambrian lawsuit.
But trial only about 6 weeks away will end it.
And possibly they settle it at the Pre Trial Conference only about 3 weeks away.
Ambrian must know the value of the resource and wants too much.
