Thanks, Rascia. It takes a lot to get me to write an e-mail. I would agree that he is surely right on top of things with TFN and Blackout, and as I stated in my e-mail to him the divy is not something of concern to me, but as time drags on in the pinkie world, action needs to be taken because it is too easy, and often reasonable, to get nervous. To see a company on top of seeing that things are carried through, and taking the lead in doing so, is great to see. I hope this happens quickly now, but I suppose I will e-mail him daily to ask for an update and see how well Victor is coming along with the "reconciliation problem". :) I wonder if an abacus would help?
1 million subs in November after debuting in September is a terrific number, especially with drawing from a 4.7 million base. The new kid on the block is rocking.
Sandy's reply ~
I just spoke to Victor at DTC, and they are having a reconcilation problem which they are trying to work out as quickly as possible so that they distribute the correct amount of shares the first time without any mistakes.
The want to make sure they tell Holladay (the transfer agent) the correct information, they don't want to do this twice.
Please let everybody know that the DTC is working on it to get it rectified asap.
Thanks,
Sandy
I have tried to figure out the screenshot thing and but am a failure at it so far, this is the best I can do. But it's a good thing to hear, and he responded within 2 hours to my e-mail to him.
- Xplosion is not on in the US due to Spike TV's exclusivity deal. An interesting note: on Spike, they're allowed to show blood, whereas they weren't allowed to on FSN. Morphoplex is paying 200k per month to sponsor the shows on Spike.
- In other TV-related news, the Fight Network in Canada is thinking about touring mixed Wrestling, MMA, Kickboxing and Boxing shows.
I like the sounds of both of these. And Spike boxing itself with an exclusivity deal could spell even sweeter things for TFN!
Sandy has spoken with the DTC today and is spurring things along. I recieved an e-mail response to a note I sent him, and someone here posted their response from him, I think. I'll a search for it.
If you haven't checked out the news section of thefightnetwork.com that's a good place to pick up news, especially older things.
A U.S.A. connection would be great! But the Canadian rights are great, and it means an established relationship, as well, that could carry into other things.
TFN has also signed a Canadian rights deal with AWE.

Just checked it out, Wendel. Nice find!
You have to have your broker call the DTC. They are not allowed to give information to individual investors. I realize some here say they've gotten info from them, but it isn't supposed to work that way.
OT ~Barmy Army ~
A raucous and undisciplined group.
Origin
Coined in the UK and most often used as an ironic nickname for the travelling supporters of the English cricket team. Barmy, or balmy, means crazy. Barm is the froth made by fermenting yeast. Barmy people are those that froth at the mouth, like rabid dogs.
Thank you, RU. That's very thoughtful of you. ::ducking::
Share price ~ It probably won't show, Sean. The same things happen if you transer shares from one account to another ~ the price you bought at is zeroed out. It makes the percentage gain look very impressive, though.
lol. Well, somehow we keep treading water here. With all the hoopla that will look half-full in the glass to me. Enjoy all!
Ownership percentage question answered today ~
next up ~ additional carriers deals announced
Since 20% is the maximum allowed by Canadian law, I think it's great news that BKMP is at the max and not at a lower amount. With the name change, some folks got excited to think it meant we owned it all, but that's doable. They did state, and there is reason to believe, that BKMP is working to increase its holding, so we'll see how that plays out and is pulled off.
Good morning, RU! Big blocks going through at .0009.
Yep, negotiating more control, moving up from the 20%, and carrier news coming. Looks good!
Nice pr to see! Yes, a lot of people have had that on their mind. It is the 20% that most people thought, but now we know for sure, and as stated earlier, they are working to increase that stake. let's go!
I haven't met the right rodents, it seems! Yes, those mice had evil looks. Little itty bitty grey things with gleaming sharp teeth, and one even nibbled on my leg. If next time it is a rat, I will ask it if we might share the couch.
It must be true love to have lasted so long. The eyes... do capture a person. I did once end up sleeping on a kitchen table because the mice kept crawling on me everywhere else in the apartment, so I pulled the chairs out and got my blanket and curled up on the table. I guess I just don't feel the love.
So are we gonna get our money here?
You're playing with rats again?
I think it's a great idea, and... one step at a time. But for the AFN, that might be simpler to pull off and a great thing. I have no knowledge about what it takes to broadcast overseas, but I am sure someone here would know that.
Dear Dave, we are very bad when you are away, and I fear we give Mike never the end of grief, poor boy.
OT then back on Topic ~ yes, Roger was something. Randy Travis did do a good reprise of "King of the Road". And it does get exciting! Back on topic ~ I had one of the young guys from the holler over the other night and showed him the TFN site and told him that was what I was into right now and what did he think of it. He was very pumped. Life for him stops when WWE comes on. In fact, he was the one who made me notice the stuff and when I stumbled on BKMP I stopped to take notice because of his love of WWE.
lol. We might get off topic but I've been around the net for years and only one time did I ever laugh near as much as I do reading this thread. Now, that might not translate to making money, though I sure hope it does, but it does mean I laugh.
Okay, that scared me! But great game by the Panthers. Delhomme has got to be the most baby-faced of the baby-faced, but what a game, and without Foster. It's shaping up to be good Super Bowl year, whoever gets in.
Them poppies are getting to you again, guy. ::disclaimer... this is a totally worthless post, posted only for my own pleasure and to, perhaps, annoy Vulcan::
Welcome, Nite. "Gonna take a rope and hang me". Not sure why, but Roger Miller rocks. I agree the 3 mods here do an awesome job of keeping things cool, plus supporting and finding good dd and info on BKMP and the fighting world, as do many here. There's an enthusiam for the "product" that is infectious and I think is much like what led Garrow and team to launch TFN. And, hopefully, we will all be a part of profiting in some part from that.
repeat post, speaking of old time matches ~

Wrestling At The Chase debuts on The Fight Network
For a few select Canadian wrestling fans, tuning into the Fight Network today at 10AM or 6PM, you were in for a great treat. As mentioned here before, TFN acquired the rights to Wrestling At The Chase, which is a St. Louis based wrestling program that operated for many years in the 60s, 70s, and early 80s. Today, they aired the first episode, and it did not disappoint.
While I'm also a fan of the Memphis Classic program they have running on Thursday night, that show is very campy and comes across really dated. It's still entertaining, but it's more focused on the entertainment aspect of wrestling. Wrestling At The Chase on the other hand is pure mat action, and TFN started off the run well, airing The Best Of in the first slot.
All the matches were joined in progress, but over the course of 45 minutes, the show under legendary promoter Sam Mushnick, went through 12 matches. They covered some real legends, and the show really put over Ted DiBiase like a million bucks, featuring a match with King Kong Brody, him commentating during a Pat O'Connor vs. Ric Flair match, and a tag team match with him & Paul Orndorff against Harley Race & Bulldog Brown where DiBiase pinned the then World champion. The show also had matches from Terry Funk, Dick The Bruiser, Dick Murdoch, Joyce Grable, Leilani Kai, amongst others.
Definitely a recommendation, especially with Heat about to fly the coupe and free up Sunday night viewing, that if you can, you check out this show as it airs Sunday nights at 6PM, as well as in the morning at 10AM. And if you have access to the channel, you can even set a reminder in the Digital program guide for the show. The channel has also aired in addition to Wrestling At The Chase and Memphis Wrestling Classics, TNA, FMW, and Ring Of Honor events, and there is Memphis Wrestling listed for Wednesday night, though that may just be the Classics show (though given it had such a short run, I'd think they'd also pick up the incarnation of the Memphis Wrestling show from which it derived from that ran in 2002 when Jerry Lawler wasn't with the WWE).
I like the fight network site, but WWE is pretty good, too. And on the TFN site, I'd like seeing a links section to things like MMAweekly.com and Slam and others. imo, that could be part of building the circle of interest with TFN stepping up as the channel to watch for events, and a clearing house of sorts for the range of interests in styles. They have the exclusive agreements with PRIDE and AWE in Canada, and it'd be awesome to see those extended to the U.S. and more added. Think of when a fight group wants to get on the air... and the first contact they are think of is TFN, before Spike or ESPN or USA Network, or any other. Again just my thinking, but there are some great sites out there, and good magazines... I think of TFN as being THE Channel that people think of first when they read MMA Weekly and think of watching a fight.
Sounds good and have fun out there. We want our TFN! night...

some folks have been busy with internet buzz
I lived in Bakersfield for 4 years when young, but a good friend married an Oildale boy, a pureblood Okie. My father was in oil so we hit lots of hot spots like Bakersfield. I enjoyed it a lot as a kid, though I bet I'd hardly recognize it now. Highland H.S. opened two years before we left and was about a mile beyond anything, sitting in the dirt.
Yes, it's a term as old as fighting! Click on "more news" under the MMA section of the frontpage.
Good ol' Bakersfield. It's as redneck as anything east of the river, too. And Oildale! My closest claim to fame is going to jr. high school with the daughter and son of Merle Haggard.
perhaps I'll tell ya..via PM this time..
<grin>
You might check out the article on the TFN site about UFC trying to claim sole rights to the use of "fighting championship". I find it pretty funny, and wonder if they might be just a little put out at the thought of TFN coming to the States. The suit should get tossed with a few snide remarks and lots of laughter. At least, I hope so. The gall of trying to take exclusive rights to "fighting championship" is amazing to me.
No, it trades VERY thinnly. That's not uncommon on the pinks where the spreads can be so wide. For an example, you can check out DGTC. A long term hold for us and trades real puny, many days without any trades, but the spread is enormous. One fine day it will make it's way back off the pinks and trade more reasonably, or that's the idea.
wrestling ~ from the SLAM article ~
For some fight purists, having professional wrestling on board The Fight Network may be considered an affront. But in developing the specialty channel, Garrow assured that no voices of descent spoke out loud.
"We explained to all the different programming partners what the different genres that would be on (the channel). Nobody said anything about anything," said Garrow.
"All they wanted to know, and rightfully so, is how we were going to deal with their individual shows and events and how we were going to make certain things for them special. I think, so far, that's what we've done."
"To be honest, I'm a fan of pro wrestling," admitted Garrow. "I think to truly round out a service like The Fight Network, you got to have all these disciplines and I'm happy that pro wrestling is in the mix."
Nice fine, Mikey. And great that wrestling is part of TFN since it's so popular here.
HOM seems to be looking good for any that are interested it. I need to call SWTS back in a week or so. I was a bit off in when I understood things were happening. They got SEC approval and are working on the application to move off the pinks right now. She was thinking that would be done soon. Back in holding pattern for the most part right now on it.
I HOPE they are done. lol. I can think of a lot worse places a person could be stuck. I do hope to take some... funny money back before too long, but we'll see. That's a rule to protect my stake so I can play another day no matter what. But for me I do look long-range with BKMP. We could be onto something big here, or at least a nice size medium something. The only other long term low-penny stock I held was Exten, which sat in the account for years because I like what they do and had faith in the people. After years it turned into gold. Gotta admit I'd like gold faster this time. I'm gettin' older!
