Jacquelin Reses
She is a mover and a shaker.

Jacqueline (Jackie) Reses is an American businesswoman, investor and philanthropist. She is currently an Executive Chair at Wish and serves on the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.

I wonder what she has in store for WISH

I believe it is very important to absorb points made on both sides of the fence as some bears have pointed out glaring issues in the past operations of WISH.

I do, though, believe that Jacqueline Reses would not insert her name and expertise into a company that has no future.

WISH is in a rebuilding process with an obvious (to those who research Jacqueline Reses's accomplishments) slant toward fintech.

As long as Jacqueline Reses is involved with WISH, I believe it has a very bright future.

Sellers of this stock, while realizing probable losses, are also walking away from future gains. They also believe that the likes of Jackie Reses would leave a prestigious post at Square to haphazardly sell elephant thongs and Britney T-Shirts. Or that Thiel is investing in a company that will become the leader in selling fake slap chops and snuggies. Sellers today don’t realize that this is probably the largest fintech/ logistics play of the century. In some years WISH will probably find itself supporting brick and mortar stores in some capacity, whether it be providing logistics solutions or financial payments services through a BNPL model. Recent hires are all specialists in the field of fintech solutions and not selling tie dye t-shirts for 2.99. The fickle will sell out because they don’t see the potential.

meiko120, insiders are not dumping this stock.

The finance team/CFO messed up, losing $10-$100K or more per every WISH employee, causing the the CFO to be fired (nicely put, resigned). All employees were forced to sell stock to cover for taxes.

All, this is most likely the best buying opportunity. Why? WISH completely gutted their leadership team just a few months ago and are in the process of rebuilding their technology platform. I work in software engineering and have been seeing hints through their job posting that they are moving to a distributed application architecture (i.e. microservices). For those that are not technical this is a game changer in itself as it enables a business to vastly improve product agility meaning its easier to roll out new products and integrate to others with great scale. Think WISH Logistics, WishPay, etc IMHO this is why they brought in the new CTO and Product execs from Google/ Ebay. They are going to completely re-engineer their search algo and I would agree it needs major improvement. I personally believe this will take 6-12 months to refactor their platform which fits in align with their last earnings statement. So, some people will say this is a large problem as their business model is still evolving and their platform needs help while being unprofitable. Interesting enough many traders take these variables at face value living in the current moment of time, but if you read between the lines what will the future hold for WISH? I can't tell you how important it is to have a strong executive leadership team, indeed WISH has this. They will figure out a way to improve the marketplace customer experience and while monetizing many new merchant and consumer services. Jackie came from Square, she knows how to work this.. I believe this stock has hit its bottom, maybe a dollar less, but ultimately this stock is going north and when it happens it will come very fast!

Seeking Alpha discusses the 36k salary and bonus structure for new Exec Chair and co-head Jackie Reses in order for the PSUs to fully vest, "WISH’s price would have to “go up >2x from the company’s stock price on April 20th, 2021 by May 15 2023. On April 20th, the stock closed ~$12/share, so the stock needs to touch ~$25 for her to fully vest those PSUs” and that the stock would have to hit $36 for the PSUs to max vest."
