Thanks SSKILLZ1, your comment is alway objective, fact oriented and helpful!
SSKILLZ1: I am thinking if I should buy some SNV after read your post. After read its annual report, I have two questions: 1) As of December 31, 2022, $25.08 billion of its deposit portfolio was uninsured, so these customers may withdraw money, but the company has only $2 billion cash not enough to pay $25.08 billion; 2) At December 31, 2022, the company has total loans, net of deferred fees and costs of $43.72 billion, which most might be lent out before interest rose, and should but not yet be discounted as interest rate rose, right?
Why does Wedbush analyst David Chiaverini think FRC worths zero/$5?
I thought FRC worths about $6 billion after adjustment of unbooked loss due to the rising interest rate. But "We find it difficult to come up with a realistic scenario where there’s residual value for First Republic common equity holders,” Wedbush analyst David Chiaverini wrote in a note to clients. Chiaverini downgraded the stock to neutral, cutting his price target to $5 from $140.How did he get this conclusion?
You are amazing! I placed the buying order for CUBI yesterday morning, unfortunately not filled. If I had done more research beforehand, I would have lowered the bidding price to have some.
Great discussion. Anyone bought CUBI at $7?
Can we say almost every bank holding lots of customers' deposit would have trouble in case all customers want to redeem their deposit?
Ex. Bank A has $80 billion deposit from their customers, and has lent $90 billion mortgage to home buyers, and has $10 billion equity. if all customers want to withdraw $90 billion deposit, the bank can not get much from $90 billion mortgage loan, then the bank could not pay the depositors and so would become bankrupt, right?
Any other banks would suddenly bankrupt?
Anyone bought SIVB? On March 10, 2023, SVB Financial Group’s (the “Company”) wholly owned subsidiary, Silicon Valley Bank (the “Bank”) was closed by the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation was appointed as receiver. The Company is no longer the parent company of the Bank.
Could you guess why ZYXI earning release and cc were delayed?
Probably a litter breath after over 100% run. She may touch $400 this year unless another black swan appears.
Interesting judgement. Will you short her at $207?
wadegarret says we are in an extended bear market rally, so what? TSLA has started her journey to be a long time bull.
She has finally broke $200 barrier, the first time since Nov 7. You were right this was not easy. Interesting to see how high it will rise.
Made me bullish!
How much interest rate will increase this year based on this job report? How will US pay off debt if the interest rate remains high?
Irrational exuberance? Yes indeed irrational when she rise another 1000% to near $2000 in the next 3-5 years!
What price will you short?
researcher, she has even passed the purchase price I made two months ago. Isn't it amazing!
nelson: some believe and others do not. This is how the market works.
I have been driving the exactly same 2010 car as you do in the past 12+ years. Have you tried a Tesla car? It is on sale right now. I am buying a Tesla car because it has the highest milage per accident.
Wade, What year is the car you are driving? I guess very old!
How do you like TSLA's report yesterday? Seems no track for me.
Interesting "surprises" story on TSLA and Twitter
$124 now, where is the bottom?
TSLA: more fun to watch the show within than from outside. Every steps could be interpreted from either side. It is apparent currently darker side is stronger.
OT: you are right the important is to choose whom to believe
The real number does not support Barron's claim "S&P projects 11.2 million cumulative EV sales for Elon Musk's company between 2022 and 2030": Ives forecasts 2023 deliveries of 1.4 million EVs , 2 million in 2023, 3 million in 2024, 4.5 million in 2025, already 10.9 million 2022-2025.
Researcher59: wish you have bought back TSLA. I deeply believe TSLA may rise over all time high within next a few months.
Musk seems making Twitter far better with far less employees. Both Apple and NFLX ceos today spoke highly of him. In case TSLA crashes through $200 barrier, how high will she rise?
Two great news for TELA today: 1) Elen Musk and Tim Cook met today; 2) TSLA's sale in China is booming
Thanks for your thoughtful analysis SSKILLZ1. I added some during pre market this morning.
SSKILLZ1: TSLA got some good news this morning and s on the way to rise from the bottom. Could you check how far it will rise from technical point of view?
It may be not, if it is true that 20% people do 80% work.
Will Twitter be down after 65-75% its employees either quit or were laid off?
hweb: IMMR has risen into the price range at which you predicted FB might buy.
Wade: Have you covered your short position in your real portfolio?
Thanks, Knowledge King, unfortunately I bought a small position only.
I am worrying META might fall back, but more unlikely than not, because Mark is laying off employees and cutting cost. So I am going to keep it for the time being.
researcher59: Musk sold $4 bullion of TSLA shares in the last 3 trading days. Do you think it is for purchasing Twitter or other purpose?
