I just realized that some of you may not know about the Dennis Rodman thing. So, if you haven't and you are reading this, the Michael Jordan/Steve Yzerman reference was a joke. And there is no target price in and OTC ticker.
PMCM/BRND
I killed it in NTEK. I played it as well as one can play. Then SGLB came along. It moved in a similar fashion to NTEK, except a little faster, but with less volume. The difference came at the gap up. Both gapped, but only NTEK ran. Even though I noticed a difference in SGLB's performance, I had convinced myself it would mirror NTEK. I sold 1/2 my stake during the NTEK gap up and the rest during the run. I didn't sell any of my stake during the SGLB gap up, because I wanted more for the run. Because I played SGLB like NTEK and like SGLB, I lost profits.
My one rule (that I got from you) is always sell something during the gap up and be aware of the first moment of weakness.
I would assume PMCM will gap (why wouldn't it) and run. If I owned PMCM going into Monday, the first thing I would do is erase BRND from my brain. Next, I would sell 1/2 my stake at the gap and then the rest during the run, in order to be rid of all my shares before the first sign of weakness. At that point I be waiting for the first big dip (if there is one), to re-enter. I'd flip that, then wait til EOD and re-evaluate the situation. I wouldn't expect a gap up on Tuesday.
I've also learned that Michael Jordan and Steve Yzerman are buying shares and the target price is $10.
Here's a few quotes from my favorite trading book, "Reminiscence Of A Stock Operator."
- I know from experience that no one can give me a tip or a series of tips that will make more money for me than my own judgement.
- I never hesitate to tell a man that I am bullish or bearish. But I do not tell people to buy or sell a particular stock.
- A speculator must not merely be a student, he must be both a student and a speculator.
- The big men of the street are as prone to be wishful thinkers as the politicians or the plain suckers.
- The recognition of our mistakes should not benefit us any more than the study of our success.
- The price has nothing to do with the line of resistance.
- Observation, experience, memory, and mathematics... These are what a successful trader must depend on.
- It cost me millions to learn that another dangerous enemy to a trader is susceptibility to the urgings of a magnetic personality when plausibly expressed by a brilliant mind.
To the new board members/followers, welcome. NT, Boxergirl, Dr Key, and I are straight shooters.
Update:
Going into Monday I own nothing. I flipped BRND to max, exiting unscathed and called it a day around noon (2pm ET). By being lazy and foolish I missed the entire PMCM "To The Moon!".
Due to that miss I learned a valuable lesson. The worst day to cut out early from the OTC is Friday. Two weeks ago I learned that Monday is the worst day to wake up late for the OTC.
Also to Dr Key, thanks for the moderator position. I'm down to delete some pumpers on behalf of your board.
I'm all out til EOD. I'd like to find a good close to hold over the weekend.
I'm buying 300 - 700 dollars worth. Not really paying attention to shares. I have no trade expense because my TD has 90 days free trades. The end of this month my free trades are done.
Watching BRND dump.
STP - found on my screener. Watching it now.
BRND bout to take a massive drop. Been in and out 3 times. Will buy at the bottom.
Sold BRND @ gap. Looking for re-entry.
I agree.
Today I'll be looking to enter on pullbacks, while keeping the board aware of any new, volatileI picks. I like Fridays.
NTEK, SGLB, SCRC, BRND, FNMA
Sorry I meant BRND not BRDN. BRDN is at a 5 yr high of zero.
I got it from the website you recommended.
(blog.todayspicis.com)
I usually look at it every morning because it's good for some ideas, as you've said. It's been saying to keep an eye on BRDN for a couple of days, but I don't think they expected what happened today.
So yes, I got it from you haha. I got NTEK from you too. I try to keep watch on everything you suggest because I know you can't always watch them all. No one can.
I figure an extra set of eyes will help and with Boxergirl and NT we've got a better chance to strike earlier than later on a ticker one of us have forgotten about.
Thanks Dr Key. Glad you had a nice day as well. Good work.
Ended up selling 1/2 of my second round buy of BRND EOD because I couldn't take a chance of no gap up tomorrow and/or my sells @ the gap up not going through.
My first flip was a 40% profit. My second flip was 150% profit. I still hold 57,000 shares, about $500 worth.
If the volume tomorrow is similar as today, I see a good opportunity to make a number of 20-40% flips, as the spikes and drops are enormous.
I'm pretty sure this is a P&D and this will be the only day I hold overnight, regardless of the closes.
BRND - My gap predictions aren't the greatest but this one is moving. I own and have flipped once today.
Sorry I didn't mention it earlier but I was in a bit of shock from SGLB
Dr key I have a question. I bought some BRND this morning after it dropped and sold it do 40% gain. It dropped again so I bought more. With my second buy I'm currently at another 50% gain and it's going near day high.
The problem is its up 180%. Is it better to sell or do you think it will gap up in the morning?
For real yo haha. I was so pissed cause I had it all planned out. I should be getting ready to sell that gap up this morning.
Even worse, my chiropractor wouldn't let me look at my phone so I missed a but at .07.
I can't even go get a sandwich haha.
Seems like a Mexican standoff.
That was a bad time for me to go to the chiropractor. That was obviously some sort of dump.
No more holding gap ups. My new rule. Just trying to figure out what to do with this now.
Yeah I know you do. If I had your DD skills I'd be less likely to momo trade and actually sit on a pick for more than two days.
Blues tenacity and desire to promote FNMA just fascinates me. I don't understand his angle. I just can't see myself touting a ticker, let alone a company.
Speaking of DD though, what is your main source (or two) for your research?
Dr I know you were busy with BIZM this morning, but this morning NTEK did exactly what you were talking about. It dropped almost exactly 30% and recovered.
I'm missed it again haha. One day.
NT, what do you think about Blue over there on the Fannie board. Is he just a pumper? I've been watching that guy for months. I used to like his DD but its becoming a bit monotonous.
I plan on playing SBLG the same as yesterday. The 9's seem to be holding up well, so hopefully it will have a steady climb to 10 and close strong, leaving us with a gap up tomorrow.
It gapped today but didn't run. If it closes strong and gaps tomorrow I'll be selling half my stake and taking some profits.
I'm currently own 10,000 shares.
Thanks for the DD everyone.
I just bough a few more this morning. Looking decent right now. I didn't sell the gap. Just held. Orders are taking a while to go through.
I only own SGLB. It's closing nicely so I'm keeping it overnight.
I had mine set at .096 but it didn't take, then it went to 10 so I just left it.
Good sell on ARTH. I got out. You were right.
I hope all of those people that came to the DR Key board to yell at him about NTEK and SCRC won't come back without an apology.
Thanks for your teachings of the OTC Dr Key. I honestly wouldn't know the game without your lessons.
Oh, it's boring haha.
I actually bought ARTH @ 1.28 this morning. Not touching NTEK for now. Looking for it to drop 20% and will look for a bounce.
That's funny I'm right with you bgirl. Found it on my Dr Key watch list.
Blocked
Look at the rules. Posting the same thing repeatedly in different wording is spamming. It's just a request.
Yeah I've got em both on a short leash. NTEK has been my horse lately, but I can feel that rubber band about to snap.
Bought HHSE this morning. It broke 3 and is holding. I'll buy more EOD with a strong close.
Hold some NTEK. I keep it overnight.
Not gonna play SCRC. I don't like it. I don't know why, I just don't.
Hopped back in at .1080. Hope that wasn't too early.
I played NTEK too. Got out at .12 on the dot. It's dropping like a rock right now so waiting to re-enter.
The manipulation on this thing is crazy right now.
I bought some FMCC @ 1.46, near the low today. I thought it would go up harder. I'm stuck with 500 shares for now so I'll be reading your dd.
Happy 4th NT. Good work this week. You too Dr Key and Boxergirl.
I agree. I'd say about 90% of my 3 watch lists were red from the start and never came back. I'm just staying with the plan (same watch) on Friday and maybe scout one or two more.
Wasn't likening the action on NTEK even though it closed okay. It keeps getting stuck so I decided to wait for re-entry.
I honestly thought SCRC was going to tank. I was in that one from low 4's and sold at high 4's a few days ago. It's a bit too slow and choppy for me.
Another one I was watching is TNGN. It's really low volume and I don't know anything about it. Im not sure if you mentioned that one or not. I'm going to give it a look tomorrow.
