I have been mopping up some 26's here----I was hoping for a bit lower but not today,
Sage
Icarus- I wasn't referring to current trading volumes. I was talking of awareness within the alternative energy industry generally and by potential partners or eventual investors, in one form or another.
Sage.
I hear in fact LLEG is quite well known to people in London- especially those who work near St Paul's Cathederal and by Bank tube station:)
The word is spreading- believe me.
Sage.
Well chaps the brave buyers from yesterday are already well rewarded. I paid 23 and 25 yesterday and hoped to get more at 22 today but it was not to be. I do want to add though- this is going higher short term imho.
Best to brave longs,
Sorry bashers- you are in for a painful time,
Sage.
That is the view I'm taking gemmerling together with the constantly improving fundamentals.
I was buying yesterday and I intend to be doing so again today if I can get the fills I want.
Sage.
People seem to have forgotten that Laidlaw is now in a JV with Homeland Renewable Energy, a company of some substance employing I seem to recall 30 people on alternative energy projects. The days of Mike and his small team trying to advance Berlin and the other projects are long gone. There is now a dedicated experienced human resource. That was one of the points of doing the JV- adding the experienced manpower/ladypower to get these projects done.
Don't confuse the 'old" Laidlaw with the "new" Laidlaw
Sage.
I'm probably in a small minority here but I can honestly say I'm not fussed at all by the recent share price action. I am convinced Mike and team will come though here with a Berlin filing and answer all the critics over wood supply and the power loop. Maybe some consider me naive- we shall see before long who is right and who is wrong.
I am over 35 million now and still buying.
All my own opinions of course.
Sage
I just got some at 23:)
Thanks!
Sage
We think alike
I bought at 25 too and will add again if it slips any more
Sage
Refuse- the reason there hasn't been a press release in the last month is, I'd assume, that there has been nothing significant to say. The news comes when it comes- you can't make it up. Well you can and issue fluff PR's but I don't think any of us want that- do we?
Sage.
The other projects tanner are I believe in established industrial developments where there is already an energy source in place. Laidlaw/the JV would be replacing that with biomass. Politically much easier to accomplish. Quicker to market and possibly eligible for Federal money I'd think.
Sage.
I'm buying this morning.
Sage[
I would guess people left sell limits at 25 and the MM's took it there to get some stock. I just added at that level.
Sage.
My 2 cents worth. Like everyone I'm not happy that the filing has taken this long- I wish it was done already. But I have no doubt it will get done so I'm not fretting day to day. I have worked on a few projects in various industries and things ALWAYS crop up that take longer than the initial time lines. It is the nature of the animal. At this point I'm guessing it will be by Christmas- we'll see.
The really key point is NOT to submit an inferior plan that a) raises questions b) is incomplete in detail and c) actually gets sent back for a re write. As long as we avoid those potholes I'm fine with it.
I'm hoping that a really superior application will get a "fast track" assessment but that is just my own hope.
My advice to everyone is to relax and not sweat it- buy what you want at these prices and wait for the good times.
Sage.
27/8 chaps- just been a buyer of 500,000 at 28.
Not time to lower the lifeboats yet:)
Sage.
I think we should get some perspective here-
Today the t/o is 1.95 million shares IN TOTAL.
To achieve that there have been 10 bargains...
4 at 28
4 at 27
2 at 26.
I would classify the trading as small, patchy and without direction.
Sage
Well Vineland should produce a $3million profit or so.......if he were to sell that he'd have a shell with $3 mn in it---he could do more developments or let someone bring deals to him...
S.
I was higher than that and within the quote-----
Strange day today. I was trying to buy all day and the MM's were dealing around me meaning I only got 2 small fills.
Let's see what tomorrow brings.
It is one thing wanting to buy this stock and another being able to do so.
Sage.
Assuming you can get the stock- trying buying 20 million when this is running. The MM's deal all around you and fill other bids lower than yours for small amounts.
Well the problem with that is momentum oncce news comes you can't get any decent volume without chasing it....if you wanted 10 million shares say you'd be chasing your tail as the MM's mark it up against you. If you just want 500,000 or so I can see your tactic.
Sage.
Don't loose any sleep over this share chaps.....
I'll eat my bowler hat unless there is good news on SEVERAL matters by year end- Berlin is just one.
We are like Big Ben- we will chime regularly on many things.
Mark my words at 31- this price is steal imho.
Toodle pip.
Sage.
If people convert their accounts to margin accounts that will prevent stock holdings being lent.
One doesn't have to use the margin- just make the conversion.
A simple phone call will do it.
Sage.
Keep focusing on the UK chaps - you are on the right path imho.
Potentially much larger than is realized.
I'd suggest a look into Homeland and the business history of the principals.
Jolly good luck to you all.
S.
imho 1% chance it won't be approved.
99% it will.
I like those odds,
S.
If LLEG issues any new stock during November I'll eat my bowler hat! Relax chaps- that 20 million was a one off imho- all Lombard Street to a china orange we won't see any more.
Sage.
Thank you Keith. I trust all is well with you. The patience of true longs will be well rewarded before long imho and we will all have a grand end to 2009.
My best,
Sage.
I haven't posted on here for a while as I have had other things to do. However I'd like to mention to everyone that I believe that it would be a big mistake to read too much into the recent issue of stock. In fact my money is on it being a "one off" event. These things happen in a company with several projects active- monies are needed for a reason like legal fees or filings and the reason can often fall outside the definitions of a JV agreement.
I'm not at all fussed by the news and still hold my 30 million + shares.
It is not my intention to resume posting here on a regular basis but have made an exception this time.
Good luck to all longs,
Sage.
Ah right- as I say Gmenfan I might be incorrect on my interpretation.
As an aside a few friends of mine own about another 25 million. I'll check their exact numbers.
Sage.
Share totals etc. One point I'd like to make is that I seem to recall that part of MBB'S holding is held via a pref. It was debt that he converted into a pref some time ago. If my memory is correct it would follow that his DIRECT ownership of common equity is less than the 70% of the issued capital we are working from. The pref is convertible into ordinary I believe.
To clarify this we would need of course to verify my recollection of the structure is correct- it may not be.
My impression is that as percentage of his total holding the pref is not significant but nontheless it does need to be accounted for.
Sage.
Good morning everyone.
Looks like we have another comedian in our midst....
42/3 pre market indication.
GLTA,
Sage
Good morning everyone. I would ask board members and visitors to resist responding to the repetitive slurs and and attacks being posted here by certain people. Response encourages more of the same and nothing is achieved.
My opinions fwiw are
1. Mr Grenier will win the election.
2. Laidlaw will file the permit application within a few weeks.
3. The permit will be approved and the plant will go ahead.
4. Laidlaw will announce progress on several other projects over the next few months.
5. The LLEG price will be MUCH higher in the months ahead.
I believe that much of the negativity and abusive posting here in recent days is from those who recognise the above to be true and are using this forum to attack Laidlaw in a futile attempt to create harm and spread mis information.
GLTA,
Sage,
Crooner- I agree with you.
In cases like these attorneys often let the authors continue to write for a time to see exactly how far they will go and how big a hole they will dig themselves into before issuing suit. That and repetition are key points of a successful action for libel and or defamation.
Sage.
Good morning duffer- you are right.
The comedians always show up when good news is imminent- a great indicator.
Comedian number one in fact told everyone here to sell their LLEG stock at 0.0004 - yes one tenth of the current price!!!!- as the company was about to fail. That was a few months ago.
With a track record like that I don't think we need to worry too much about the current tales of gloom from that quarter.
I like the way we are forning this base around the 40's and personally I'm quite happy to let events unfold in our direction.
GLTA,
Sage.
I wish all a pleasant evening....
For tomorrow I suggest we all ignore a certain person:0
Nice close- holding 40 level very well.
Sage.
I haven't been active in this stock for some while.
I bought 400000 back in Clayton's time at around .05 and kept them. Today I am buying again based on the assumption that the new management has some tangible plans that will at least cause a run. Over the next days and weeks I aim to add maybe 400,000. After that I'm going to sit and watch.
Sage.
I have believed for some time that we wil be at least 1 cent by 12/31 this year. Nothing that I am seeing makes me doubt that. We might a a lot higher than that if a national newsletter picks up on us or there is some major development that isn't be talked about. At that level we'd have a mkt cap of around $22 million or about 15 million sterling. That is very undemanding for a company with the pipeline of projects that LLEG has.
People who are flipping this will get caught short one day imo when it just doubles and stays there.
This truly is a very rare opportunity to make big money with a high probability of success. Just mho of course.
Sage.
Did anyone take note of Veolia?
http://www.veoliaenergyna.com/en/
We are in the big league now chaps.
Sage.
Quite right Matt- under 3 million shares- all scrappy bargains.
MM's love to sucker the nervous/inexperienced like this.
Sage
