As are all commodities hard to predict prices, thats why we have a futures market, prices go up and down all the time, you just have to
know when to hedge your buying and selling product, tough to do but they
do it everyday in the Natgas and oil markets.
In every business there is risk just like trading and investing.

just that purpose to get a hold of Lifecore http://www.lifecore.com/
Sodium Hyaluronate
Sodium Hyaluronate (NaHy) or hyaluronan is a naturally occurring polysaccharide that is widely distributed in the extracellular matrix and connective tissues in both animals and humans, particularly in the aqueous humor of the eye, synovial fluid, and skin. The viscoelastic properties and the water solubility of this non-crystalline polymer make it ideal for medical applications where lubricity, protection and cushioning are critical.
Lifecore Biomedical produces highly purified NaHy by a microbial fermentation process.

Dow Jones Industrial been down 13 days in a row , 969 points or -7.3% and here LNDC down a measley .34cents or 5% considering
we're dealing a single digit stock, the percentages increase.
but the climb and steady as she goes looks great.
the Market must know something.
what that is we'll all have to wait and see.
C24
LNDC frustrating on L2, hard to get if they are propping up price to distribute shares or holding it down to accumulate a block.
the Algorithm's are set up to order flow, playing with it off and on
but can't really determine the true force behind this strength in the stock.
Again, hidden orders in there, they call them iceberg orders btw,
they pop up every now and then, we go up and we crazy Ivan, would be
nice to see some fund really jumping in here.....or Hedge fund
always a game to try and see the true picture.
I know this is shorted heavy, so just maybe they are trying
to get covered before something good happens.
the one problem this stock has always had, heavily shorted.
Now, if we can just get some more investors involved it would help
dry up the float and help confuse the Algo & HFt traders,
pass the good word, we did it on others.
C24
yeah, well here's the thing, maybe LNDC really under valued in the real estate department, I'm not sure, I don't run numbers consistently, but sometimes I do. Maybe I'll make a special effort
this weekend to do some Financial analysis and see if I can pick up
on anything, just takes so much time reading 10k and quarterly
reports but worth it sometimes. Generally that's what the market
misses a lot is Land valuations. jmho of course.
hang ten
C24
Another aspect a lot of investors overlook a lot is the Fibonacci numbers, take the 89 line, a favorite of many, Landec traveling slow but sure up the 89 ladder, if it keeps going, keep accumulating, it works, all the time.,.,,,,anybody that doesn't believe me can sit back and watch and regret it later....
Landec Price/Book only 1.15, so anything under 3 according to Zack's is Value.
landec still needs to ramp up the earnings to get the ROI ROA ROE
over the single digit mark. double digit returns generally move
shareprice a lot faster and higher, I mentioned this to Gary once
before but he refuted it somewhat.
Perhaps the new acquisition will do the job now. time will tell.
C24
ok as usual, I'll talk to myself, seems no one interested again
in Landec, guess I'll have to put a phone call into Gary and
have him make room for me on The BOD's...I plan on accumulating
until I'm red in the face no matter what it costs......
I'll move this company into the forefront just like the good
ole days...don't believe me.
fine

Harris Williams & Co. Advises GreenLine Foods in its Sale to Strategic Buyer Apio, Inc.
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Harris Williams & Co., a preeminent middle market investment bank focused on the advisory needs of clients worldwide, announces the sale of GreenLine Foods, Inc. (GreenLine), the largest provider of fresh-trimmed packaged green beans in North America, to strategic buyer Apio, Inc. (Apio). Apio is a wholly owned subsidiary of Landec Corporation (Landec; Nasdaq:LNDC). GreenLine was a portfolio company of The Riverside Company (Riverside). Harris Williams & Co. acted as the exclusive advisor to GreenLine. The transaction closed on April 23, 2012 and was led by Glenn Gurtcheff, Tim Alexander, Jeff Cleveland and Brant Cash in the firm’s Consumer Group.
“GreenLine maintains the #1 position in a fast growing value-added vegetable category and has established a widely recognizable consumer brand. The company occupies a unique position as the only year-round, nationwide processor of value-added green beans and the only processor with its own refrigerated distribution network. These strengths made GreenLine a strategic asset that is highly complementary to Apio’s existing product set and capabilities,” said Glenn Gurtcheff, a managing director and head of Harris Williams & Co.’s Consumer Group.
“The health conscious consumer is alive and well. GreenLine’s steady growth over the past 25 years has been driven by demand for the freshness and improved taste and texture that the company’s products offer. In addition, GreenLine’s packaging innovations capitalize on consumer need for more easy-to-prepare and healthy food alternatives,” added Tim Alexander, a managing director at Harris Williams & Co.
Founded in 1985, GreenLine is North America’s largest and only nationwide provider of fresh-trimmed, washed and packaged green beans. With innovative processing and packaging capabilities, GreenLine was the creator of the value-added green bean market and has continued to expand its product offering to include wax beans, bean blends, sugar snap peas, French green beans, hydroponic lettuce, and other value added vegetable products. When GreenLine beans reach customers’ kitchens, they're trimmed and ready to cook, ensuring quick preparation, consistent quality and easy storage that outlasts traditional bulk product. The company operates manufacturing and/or distribution centers in Bowling Green, OH; Vero Beach, FL; Pico Rivera, CA; Chester, NY; Rock Hill, South CA; and Hanover, PA.
Riverside is a global private equity firm focused on acquiring growing businesses valued at up to $200 million (€200 million in Europe). Since its founding in 1988, Riverside has invested in more than 280 transactions. The firm’s international portfolio includes more than 75 companies, and it has $3.2 billion/€2.5 billion in assets under management.
Apio, founded in 1979, is today the leader in processing and marketing fresh-cut specialty packaged vegetables in the U.S. Headquartered in Guadalupe, CA, Apio sells its specialty packaged vegetable products and party tray products under the Eat Smart® brand. Apio’s fresh-cut specialty packaged vegetable products are unique in that they utilize the Landec BreatheWay® proprietary breathable packaging technology to extend the shelf life of specific produce. Landec, based in Menlo Park, CA, is a materials science company leveraging its proprietary polymer technologies for developing and commercializing new products in food, agricultural, biomedical and industrial markets. Landec acquired Apio in 1999.
