Lol cj, I bet it would.
Nice smiley, supersize?
Bit disappointed in the Fed, metals going wrong way ;)
Waiting for gold to hit 1687, that would really be a step up.
Yeah, they tested the 50MA just in case, and off it went. Watching 42.70ish for next strong resistance.
Posted the news earlier, didn't think we'd see this, but nice launch off the 50MA.
ARNA: R/G +3%
PPO +1.5%
That's looking better. Spread on the January options a bit too wide.
Lennar Q4 Profit Tops View As Market Recovers
Down PM, but the day is long. Then again, could be the market had priced in these results.
Home-builder Lennar Corp. (LEN: Quote,LEN.B) reported Tuesday that its fourth-quarter profit more than quadrupled with higher deliveries and sale prices, reflecting the recovery in housing. Both earnings per share and revenues topped market estimates. Looking ahead, the company projects that fiscal 2013 promises to be another year of strong profitability.
For the fourth quarter, net earnings attributable to the company surged to $124.34 million or $0.56 per share from last year's $30.28 million or $0.16 per share.
On average, 24 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.44 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Revenues climbed 42 percent to $1.35 billion from $952.65 million a year before. Analysts estimated revenues of $1.31 billion for the quarter.
Correction: used to. I've mostly given up on AAPL weeklies after noticing other tickers are far "easier' to make money on. Yes, AAPL usually respects the S/R lines, but there's just too many games going on.
Tickers like CF FFIV STX etc. are less glamorous but more rewarding, IMO anyway.
I know some people make a killing on AAPL weeklies, but I'm not here to make street cred, but money :)
Pluristem receives approval to expand Phase II clinical trial in IC to Germany
Like so many bios yesterday, pure strength. Just wondering if this is the start of a move back to that Nov high?
Could be this negative news focus is all BS and they indeed deliver whopping earnings. The big boys make money either way, I have no doubt.
You took a bigger gamble on this one, I gather? It's a pretty darn tricky stock.
Well, despite the massive volatility intra-day, and the games being played, there is strong buying pressure and it keeps bouncing back.
I'm thinking until there's actual proof in the short thesis, this'll stay where it is. Not many stocks stay this high after such a run.
Agree on the CM deal suggestion. The news was floated the other day, but not much later denied by AAPL. I also found this interesting:
Lol, can't lose momentum.
CAAS especially looks great. Good volume too.
Woohoo. Now that's volume before price for ya.
SGMO: ended +17%
Argh... Congrats to anyone who jumped in.
Think March tops it all with the cliff in mind.
Gamble play?
Bernie speaking @ 4PM, people getting nervous. A few of his FOMC colleagues have been down talking QE/Gold, and I know he wants metals gone too (stocks before everything else), but will he continue the hawkish tone?
My thought exactly. And not the small boys, either.
It has a SA article, but is that enough to explain this bump?
Think that was the reason I added it that time. A 400K+ block in the early session, nice. Would be great if it could manage to also close above the 50MA, many pops and drops here lately.
All in all a gradual rise, not much to complain about - except that it won't retrace ;)
Hate it when they fly away like that.
Just checking the intra-days, most had a strong dip before bouncing, looks like they followed SPY but have now mostly stabilised.
Still waiting for the real pull-back.
Solars and shippers taking a breather.
About time too.
Gluck :)
40.68 seems to be support, as long as that holds, think we good.
Ah yes, you right, the chart is so extended, you'd forget those moves are acually 50% or more :)
No idea WTH is going on here, must be fundamentals ;)
Well, in most cases aren't we comparing stupid with dumb? ;)
Both are mostly pumpers, but you must respect the move. Check out the options, nicely inflated as awe apparently await news.
