Oops, should have read them all before I posted mine. Well said Dredge. You put it better than I did. GLTU
The last time I checked SNEY is a gold mining company that does business with U.S. dollars. I think the question is; How does the value of gold and the dollar "NOT" have anything to do with SNEY?
Nothing wrong with gambling. We're all gambling imo. Some just refuse to admit it ergo the anger at the present situation.
Obviously you don't believe that the deal is going to happen. You know what they say; "If you can't stand the heat......." I believe the deal will happen so what happens with the share price between now and then means nothing to me except perhaps a chance to pick up some more on the cheap. GLTU
That is a realistic expectation as per the last press release imo.
As per the PR of Feb. 28th Mohamed Tayyib Bah was going to return to Sierra Leone sometime in the first week of March. Garrett and Hans Strand were to arrive shortly thereafter. That could be a week or two later depending on the definition of the word "shortly."(We all know how that works.) They then are going to set up a meeting with the Minerals Commission which might or might not happen immediately. Given that this is only the 14th, isn't all the hand wringing that seems to be going on a little premature? Just a thought.
I know of a property in Ghana that could probably be gotten pretty cheap right about now. lol
Target date for the deal to be done: End of April, 2013.
I'm liking this, we're on the move.
It's true that there is a lot we don't know. I just do not automatically assume the worst. Just have to wait and see.
Do we know that some things have not already been happening? After all, I believe there is a fellow over there by the name of Wilfred Ullrich who holds the title of "Operations Manager" and who brokered the sale of the 27.5 tons of black sand. Just a thought.
And I can tell you that the people in question do read this board and a man's reputation is one of the most valuable things he has. I'm done.
I don't think you do know what I was getting at Fang. What I meant by "real risk takers" was the people in country risking their health and very lives. The only thing we risk is money, something I think is lost on people who sit behind a desk for a living. Their reputation was besmirched by accusations of theft of black sands and free gold without any proof that it happened. And now,Risk, the same person who made those accusations and so ardently defended Steve Parent against unsubstantiated accusations is attacking him and calling for him to be fired. I just find it rather breathtaking and contemptible. And anyway, who's going to fire him? I thought someone said that Garrett Hale and all the rest were just his puppets.lol
My post spoke for itself but these posts might be of interest.
70744, 70790, 70807, and 70814.
Lets pose a hypothetical scenario. Lets say that Once upon a time there was a meeting of investors held in a place like oh.....maybe Yountville, Ca. for the purpose of financing a particular season of a certain venture. Lets also say that the money was later redirected towards other purposes leaving the real risk takers of this venture without a purpose so they went their separate way. In my mind it would be a sad thing if later they were accused of being thieves and all manner of other terrible things. Well,... it's just a scenario and I'm sure in no way applies to SNEY.....Or does it?
It's all I or anyone else could ask for IMO.
Always been good at waiting. Got to see how all this plays out so I'm not going anywhere. The ride's paid for so might as well stay on.
I don't think a little reminder, once in awhile, that there are shareholders out here with a keen interest in what, if anything, they are doing hurts anything. Who better to convey that to than the CEO?
Called Garrett Hale's number twice today and left a voice message. As yet have not gotten a response but, to be fair, that could mean he might be in Sierra Leone putting his hands on things.lol Found the number on line. For those who would like to do the same it's
(707) 255-5836
Considering the value that Garrett Hale puts on his reputation, the content of the Jan 10th p.r., and the fact that the first quarter is hardly over yet I think it's a little early for a lot of negativity. Course, unlike the rest of you "INVESTORS," I'm just here gamblin so maybe I see things a little differently.
News coming at sney's convenience,..... soon. lol
To the last P.M. Sorry I do not have P.M. The name was mentioned in a conversation with someone who will remain nameless. Did they have a previous connection to Allied?
Actually it was as much about this computer illiterate seeing if he could post a link as it was about finding something interesting. lol
Thought you all might find this interesting.

I think we are in need of more news.

I think Wednesdays and Thursdays have always been good days for sney news.
Some searching with google should help all. That and the fact that I talk to little birds once in awhile.
When speculating on the 27.5 ton sale of black sands, consider "Universal Mining And Exploration S.L. Ltd."
Not everyone. This is and always has been a long shot or as I would say, "A calculated risk."
Gamble: An act or undertaking involving risk of a loss.
I think some here have fooled themselves a bit. As for me, gotta see what that last card is. lol
Ant, lost your Email. I think you should check back from whence we both came. Go Sney
Him and Larry Bigler both. This is beginning to get interesting. I think I'm going to gamble some more on this.
Have I been in some kind of time warp or something? How long has that been there?
I received one too. I'm going to say it sounds like a good thing to me. Whatever it takes to get us to production. Especially if gold and silver prices continue to climb.
"The closing of the transaction is subject to various conditions including the parties entering into a definitive agreement, completion of technical and legal due diligence, stock exchange approval and GENERAL METALS SHAREHOLDER APPROVAL."
Looks like we're going to get a sales pitch somewhere along the way.
I'm trying to figure out if it's a good thing or not. I must read and ponder this for awhile. Hope I don't get a headache.
Open Gold OPG Has issued a firm letter of intent to buy the Independence Mine. Don't know why we had to hear it from them but that's what has happened. Just sent an Email to Forbush asking him to explain. Be interesting to see if I get an answer.
"There is a Jerry Hale listed under schedule D."
The last time I talked to Dale Bourassa, if memory serves me right, he told me that there were a lot of friends and family of the Allied people invested here. Could be a powerful incentive for Garrett Hale to take the bull by the horns, so to speak.
I read that PR several times and that was my take on it also.
I agree also. Steve said we might see something this week and we did. A positively nice PR in my book. Just wish I wouldn't have misjudged where the bottom was going to be before I ran myself out of money for this. A half full glass is not bad though. lol
From Dan Forbush in response to an Email of mine in regards to their website:
"The website host moved the site to a new server which resulted in this message. However, we are bringing a new website up within the next week at a different host. We will announce that on the date."
Post #75114. Just quoting Parents response to a recent Email of mine. Nothing definite there. He says "Think you will see something next week."
I agree 100%.
Maybe an indication of good things to come. Thanks for the heads-up.
