AAAHHHH...Nostalgia...it just is not what it used to be....
chipguy and drjohn, you might want to keep that PCWORLD issue in good condition; it is the very last omne that is going to look like that :)
It is history and not the future.
Whistling as you pass the (intel's) cemetary ?
Grasping at straws are you ? I hope that it makes you feel good. Check back in about 7 months...things, they are a changing.
SI seems to be down.
Sure looks like we have general agreement that, that is it for AMD for the next six months or so...I wonder what that means :)
It really is amazing how badly intel's technical development programs suck wind lately.
This is a statement that craig can defend out of ignorance (feigned or real) otellini on the other hand....
I have some indirect personal experience with this Thornhill guy at UBS. His disdain for AMD borders on being a psychosis. UBS will probably change ANALysts before AMD enjoys another upgrade there.
UUUHHH....
I guess that he is correct...no way Spitzer will bring such a suit if I employed the wrong tense of a verb.
I think intel am real crooks :)
re: "LOL. At least you could have proof-read it. It might look more professional"
Do tell...please....
I just sent the following to Eliot Spitzer:
No doubt you are aware of the various lawsuits being brought against the Intel Corporation by Advanced Micro Devices, the EU, and the JFTC for monopolistic anticompetitive practices. I encourage you to bring such an action against Intel on my behalf as well as other NYS citizens and taxpayers. I am absolutely certain that we have been materially damaged by such Intel tactics. We have been denied fair choices in the marketplace and we have been force to pay higher prices for much more limited product selections.
Very truly yours,
I encourage others on this thread to do the same to their respective AGs
YUP...TOPPISH...We are in real deep doo doo here: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=e&s=AMD+intc
Watch out...we are in real trouble here :)
YUP it looks very toppy here...probably going to go down real hard from here :)
I might have actually been up there at the time. I go there often to read, walk and generally make progress lowering my cortisol levels. I have some bug bites with persistant rashes about them and I have submitted blood samples for Lyme disease analysis.
sorry, you have to get vacations approved in advance here
Only a footnote but to a most interesting story: Michael Dell, Kevin Rollins named in AMD subpoena: http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=24351
This Thornhill guy at UBS is an Ediot
AMD capacity all used up...Sources suggest AMD has used up its own capacity building desktop processors and so is seeking foundry capacity in Taiwan for its affiliate company....
http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=23488
is that why all of these sales are happening http://finance.yahoo.com/q/it?s=INTC ?
Unlike Jerry, Hector has been buying AMD common, not dumping it...do you suppose...perhaps...perchance...Hector knows some things that you may not :)
actually...it looks like a gift
AMD is expected to hogtie Intel next month when they are scheduled to release a quad-core processor, code named "Snidely"

Just what makes you so confident that Fred and Dirk are so sound asleep now ?
one track monorail mind ?
speaking (or typing) about low powa consumption follow diss thread: http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=21312855
(edited) YUP...so did Motorola during the early eighties with similar tardiness and final market results.
BTW, I believe that Hector was at Motorola and witnessed that fiasco first hand at that time.
why...too cheap ?
izzat a buy signal?
Thank you
I cannot come up with any likely interpretation of this that is positive for intel.
did you happen to notice that 3 million vs 1 million is not exactly double...the source does seem to be somewhat sloppy.
i would rather be drunk:)
That really is what happened late Fall early winter of 2002 .
