Although yes the board members and directors are all getting share payments as well. But they consider that to be their pay for the "work" they do
I am just as skeptical as the rest of us. But I realize certain elements of running a biotech are consistent with the model you see here.
It's not insiders getting stock awards. Theoretically this is cbis issuing payments for services rendered and required for sustaining the business. Biotechs don't have income until they sell licensing or patents, so they can't pay anyone to do anything with any means other than shares or funds raised by the sale of shares.
In my long experience with this portfolio anchor of a stock, if it doesn't close on the high it's good for a pop and drop at best the next day
What does that mean?
Crude valuation - Estimated pps value $2/sh = $6B / 3B shares
Assumptions
Market size $60B
Market share 1% (based on scientific data that 1-2% of people deliberately choose marijuana based medical solutions)
1% x $60B = 600M income
Generic PE of 10 (ultra conservative for biotechs
Valuation 6B = 10 x 600M
Yes, check the def 14c filed this morning. It calls for effectiveness of 11/19/15
Me too bud. But a Def 14C is as close as I've seen it. And a new one was filed this morning calling for 11/19 effectiveness date. We will see
First time I've seen an FDA ind # on. Cbis news wire
Haha Dabney "our shareholders have been so patient... Nothing makes me happier than to issue this dividend"
Yeah so you can dilute the crap out of a whole brand new share structure and continuously fail to deliver on a whole brand new set of promises.
Then he goes on to say we are entering a $60B market. By my calculations, if we gain 1% of that market share and have a potential revenue of $600M and use an earnings multiplier of 10 (very conservative for biotechs) we have a $6B valuation over 3B shares which makes current structure worth $2 /share. And the new structure would actually be worth $60/sh
So somebody is on the bid here for about 50 grand
I don't believe it until I see it.
Apparently MSCI has a recommendation for this stock
Surprisingly optimistic of you to say
Touché
Look at the gravity on the chart. They don't have anything holding them up. It's pop n sink for the last three years now. It's just fools like us holding onto a bag (of hope)
Leading what? Selling what? I've been optimistically watching this thing for 6 years and haven't seen a penny in sales revenue nor a single product to actually show for the money they've spent (120 million and growing at 2 million a month now)
Not trying to be confrontational, but I just don't have much to keep hoping for with these guys.
Who knows for sure? I don't think any of them (CBIS insiders) expected this thing to go on as long as it has.
Definitely call dabney and see what he has to say; I doubt it will be of comfort unless he dilutes your concerns like he's diluted the share base.
Yeah I spoke with Kane a few times and the first time I asked him what was going on with the dividend I didn't lead on that I was entitled and he tried to complain about it and how "everyone keeps asking.." And I said yeah when you make promises to shareholders it's kind of a big deal when you don't come through with something of substance. After a pause he said he'd bring it up at the board meeting a week later and call me. We spoke a few more times after that and this was before endo came out and flopped and he tried to sell me on that too. I agree with you, he's just flagrantly bullshitting us and has been for years. I'm getting pretty exhausted by this all
It doesn't disappear, it just fails to materialize just like the one in 2010
Booooooooooo. I want dabney's head on a stick
Punch bowl, big house in Utah, black cloaks, everybody dead lol
Fluff PR with no balls
All I know is, I haven't seen a single thing actually come out of this
I am so tired of this
Sentiment shared
Probably would've been more impressive if I actually sold anything though :/ just holding this big ugly bag
I made it to 26 and 33 from 1 and to 4 from 1 this time
Yup: both times.
Good morning friends
Don't forget the $83/ month keeping the web site up
Boooooooooooooooooo
"We anticipate an effective date of October 6, 2015, or as soon thereafter as practicable in accordance applicable law, including the Nevada Revised Statutes ("NRS"). "
But I do agree, the 2 million a month is seriously steep for lobbyists and whatever other contract work they want to claim they've had.
How are they supposed to have sales if it is illegal for them to sell their product? Let's face it. Even a marijuana distributor can't claim any income on a federal statement or an SEC filing because it's federally illegal. Even if cbis had a product, they can't legally sell it or claim income from it.
Moreover; the message you replied to explains why the statement you just made is irrelevant and proves that you aren't even reading these.
It's all speculation. If they declassify marijuana to a schedule allowing it to be used as an fda approved drug source of substance, then we could be looking at a couple dollars a share. Otherwise it's just speculation
You just need to filter through a lot of bullshit. But don't discount the naysayers or you'll be left with rose colored goggles and that leaves you blind also.
Just try to take it all with a grain of salt.
At the end of the day- we are all here for our own reasons
Hang on Louie, these are non profit organizations which are not eligible to be traded publicly ever, without substantial reorganization and financial restructuring.
CBIS donors are all here reading these posts
Their product will never be smoked. Their product is being developed to either be vaporized in an e-cig or intravenous as a pharmacological medicine. They have no sales because they have no products that can legally be sold because they can't get FDA approval for a drug containing federally illegal substances. So until marijuana is legalized at the federal level or at least rescheduled to a class level drug eligible for usage in medical research (¡Not to be confused with medicinal marijuana which is a different application!!) they can not possibly generate revenue from their products.
Why do you think they PR so much crap about trials and hearings at a federal level.
I admire your optimism but let's please stay on point.
Ps: I watched this thing go to 26 and 33 cents and held on, knowing it is worth more some day
I don't know how long you've been watching this one; I apologize if you mentioned earlier or not. But this isn't the first time cbis has offered a dividend and it wouldn't be a shock to see nothing come of this one.
Never seen sarcasm translate so clearly before lol
