Better cover. AAPL reversal. Sorry shorts can't go down forever just like it can't go up forever.
Did you pull the trigger today?
A hard lesson being learned. Koolaid is bad for your pocket book. I see BVIG is finally trading a little, can't say the result is surprising. Holding KATX was not worth it.
Makes AAPL an attractive buy IMO because it HASN'T participated in the run up. Will become a safe haven once again IMO.
No way, already too cheap. Not gonna trade for 2x cash.
Gap filled, bottom in IMO.
It's already way too cheap at $430, these prices aren't going to last. Up we go.
They can do a 10 for 1. It would just have to be voted on by the shareholders.
Sure you don't mean forward split? One share of APPL for $4500, that would price out a few people.
Base forming at 440. Chart getting pinched, probably going to break one way or another soon.
I think there's market share for both companies to profitably exist IMO. A lot of market share hasn't even been tapped into yet. Some people will buy Samsung for the affordability, and some will by Apple for the quality and brand name.
They hinted at something coming in the shareholder meeting. Steve Jobs' innovation might even carry this company from beyond the grave. I agree though, they need something to make the market excited about the company.
Doesn't seem the market was too impressed. Nice down day on a nice market up day. They need to play nice with Wall St. sooner than later IMO. Think we test some key support levels this week if AAPL doesn't announce anything. I bought lower than most but I think a chance was missed for a trend reversal in the stock. See what happens next.
Which was pretty much the same as the last shareholder meeting. Only difference is they've added another 40 billion to the pile. I still have hope that Cook is going to at least announce a bump in the dividend.
Little tug of war goin on here before the meeting. I really really hope Cook has something good to say. Cook and Apple don't have to like Wall St. if they don't want, but they need to realize that they can hurt your shareholders if you decide to give em the finger.
That's a good question. Another one I can think of..."Is Samsung going to make a profit on their phones this quarter?"
I was already in so this rumor didn't effect me one way or the other, but I think that's BS if the SEC doesn't come down with something on Kass if it's proven he started the rumor and then sold into it.
Now Kass is trying to say the split rumors are baseless. Kass better hope he doesn't get his you know what stepped on by the SEC.
Wonder what the price would be to have her put "buy aapl" across her cheeks. You wanna put the memo on Cook's desk? Lol.
BUY BUY BUY lol.
That's all the stock market really is, just to a greater degree on the OTC. Gonna wait and see on this one, can't see Kass putting his reputation there if he knows it's not true.
Gonna wipe out shorty if it is true.
It's funny what one tweet can do. Hope his source is a good one or we're in for some pain if it doesn't happen.
I'll take it if it's true.
Anybody know the reason for the pop? Staples selling Apple products? I know Mac sales were way up for January but that's been out for a day or so.
The OTC short list has nothing to do with short interest. MM's will go short to fill orders and make a market, the books are settled within the day. This has been explained ad naseum, but they are going to think whatever they want to think. It's like a last ray of hope with KATX.
Maybe AAPL can announce they didn't make any money on the IPhone this quarter so the stock can skyrocket.
IPhone continues to expand its already sizable market share. BBRY....not so much.
Apple has officially withdrawn proposal #2.
Rumor is AAPL is going to significantly increase the dividend.
Of course Einhorn is looking to make money and wants the preferred stock option, but there's a good chance he could win the suit and still never see any preferred shares. The only direct recourse will be that Apple has to put voting on preferred shares as a single line item vote instead of trying to bundle it with something else. Hopefully at the very least it forces Apple to be more shareholder friendly.
Einhorn's motion was granted this afternoon, will be interesting to see how AAPL responds.
You're just pulling numbers out of the air. If the watch justifies the cost, people will buy it. You might as well say that people won't buy a Mercedes because you can get a Kia for a lot less.
I've seen such tactics used before to try to incite retail buying when companies have shares to dump. Making it appear through trades and message board activity that someone "in the know" is buying. KATX is not above that IMO.
I agree with your opinion of Einhorn, but I also agree with much of the principle of Einhorn's argument. AAPL has a long tradition of thumbing noses at Wall St as well as not sharing wealth with shareholders near as much as they could've. AAPL probably should've been giving a dividend for years now with all the cash they've had on hand. Maybe all this noise forces them to be more proactive with taking care of their stock.
Just about everything is red today.
50% retracement of the last move up completed today. Traded nicely off the low of the day today. Looking for a move up for the rest of the week, let's see if we longs get it.
Are we supposed to be impressed with your 22 years of trading? What a bunch of nonsense. I'll mark this post for ya. AAPL will never see 300's let alone 200's. Loser never posts on the board again. What time frame do you want to call it in.
Hmmmm, I haven't seen that so far but I'll be paying more attention now.
Lol, do you only count the hits?
