Yes, thank you Gopher for the link. Phaeton seems to know his stuff and the potential BEHL has to offer. He is using his energy in a positive way to inform, research and provide a forum for other investors. Good stuff.
I think you shouldn't Dick Messer' around and look in the Sandy areas in Palm Springs.
Based on my clock, it is only 1:23 p.m. I guess Palm Springs is in a different time zone?? Tuesday isn't over yet Mr. Gopher.
As mentioned by Dennis on the interview on Friday, there were additional filing requirements needed for Pink Sheets compliance.
bigben348, please feel free to tell the Marine at the Open House your concerns. That should be a fun one to watch. Dennis is committed in employing our Service Men that are back from there service. Count the Body Bags each week. Our freedom isn't free.
Didn't think the Gopher will show up....but, it would be amusing for all......
I agree, Gofer, you really need to show up at the Open House to keep the event "fair and balanced"! You need to voice your concerns with Dennis directly and get your questions answered.
Gofertder, will you be at the open house? This will be a great opportunity to address your concerns...
Hello All, please make sure you keep you calendar open for tomorrow's live interview with Dennis Fisher (CEO of BEHL) on Playground Radio at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. This will be a great opportunity for updates on their status..
It is like the CEO position at BEHL....revolving door it seems....
Yes...the next 90-120 days is VERY critical for BEHL's success. They need to prove that they can sell their system and products. Once this happens.....everyone will begin to take notice.
Thanks for the post. It is always good to keep track of our competitors....the only benefit of this system I can see is a small foot print....? A 2 1/2 acre vertical system with seven tons of steel can't be cheap? I would like to know how much one these things run? I can pretty much guess 3x - 6x our cost?
Everyone needs to remember that this is a "start-up." You have to focus on progress and business purpose. Dennis had a vision...has implemented this vision with his hard earned cash and shareholder cash…and has the commitment of 15 employees that understand this vision and the future of the algae market. Trust me, if anyone wants this thing to succeed, it is the boots on the ground and not the arm chair managers that pick apart every single move BEHL makes....look at their successes over the past 6 months. Yes, there has been a change of CEO's, but, it was for the better. They are transparent. How many pink sheets have live feeds of there manufacturing system? They have an Open House....some might call it a "fluff" PR move...I call it an opportunity to meet and greet the employees to fully understand their commitment and drive. Yes, there is dilution and will have continued dilution until revenue hits. BEHL will begin generating revenue sooner than later...In the real world, some people will always see a glass half full, I say "f" them, I see a team of dedicated people that want to succeed. For the haters and penny chasers…..move on. All your negative talk is wasted energy. Chill out, have a beer, enjoy life.
...simply amazing that their version 4 demo is up and running...no leaks...DVJ will be installed within the next 14 days...the business model is/will work. WE WILL HAVE the lowest cost PBR system in the industry, WE WILL begin to fill DHA, EPA, etc. orders in Cosmetics, Nutraceuticals and feedstock.... WE WILL be the leader in the microalega market!
Huh. Poor business idea? Google Omega 3....it's a huge market and growing....
The only thing that will move the price up is revenue....I think there are a lot of folks on the sideline right now watching. There haven't been any leaks for SA PBR since the new bags have been installed -- even under the stress tests (great news).......DV needs to be up and running asap to start producing product. Once this happens and they can duplicate, the real money will be made. (30-45 days out, my best guess). Everyone will get the answers they need at the Open House on August 21st.
Thanks for this info....what does the color coding mean? Sorry if it is obvious.
The next few weeks are "very" critical for our success. I think a lot of folks are watching right now. The new tubes are being installed in SA as we speak....DVJ will be installed within the next 7 days. As long as the new tubes hold out and don't leak, we will be on a road to success. Fast forward 2-3 years, DVJ will be a thriving little community with BEHL smacked dab in the middle of it all.....
My guess....the new "seamless" tubes are for DVJ...old (seamed) tubes "Shannon Plastics" are still being used for SA--that is why there are still minor leaking issues...Maybe they upgraded to a higher density tube for SA that are still seamed?....However, I am looking forward not looking in the rear view mirrors....end of next week is the beginning of the new improved system in DVJ. Go BEHL
Go Phaeton! I enjoy reading your insight.
The Gopher needs a life. Move on already.
Nope...it isn't there for me either....? Harvest soon?
Very unlikely Phyllis will be used for DVJ. With four lab techs now....I am pretty sure the wall units are as green as Kermit the frog.
Thank you for the laugh this morning......good stuff.
...I don't think this story has ended yet....Like all Disney movies...the good guys will win. The bad little Gofer will pay at the end.....his evil little ways will be then end to him.
Well Said!
please give me a hit....Mr. M & M has only been posting since 6-1-10
Yes, that is correct. The old tubes "with seams" will be replaced within the next 10 days +/- with the new "seamless" tubes (waiting on the manufacturer)....they filled up the old tubes to continually test the demo PBR until the full installation of the commercial system in DVJ. They didn't want to waste any time tweaking the system until full implementation of the commercial system.....
Skip the Middle Man, or fish is this case and go right to the source- Go BEHL!
"Fish do not actually produce omega-3 fatty acids, but instead accumulate them from either consuming microalgae that produce these fatty acids, as is the case with fish like herring and sardines, or, as is the case with fatty predatory fish, by eating prey fish that have accumulated omega-3 fatty acids from microalgae. Such fatty predatory fish like mackerel, lake trout, flounder, albacore tuna and salmon may be high in omega-3 fatty acids, but due to their position at the top of the food chain, these species can accumulate toxic substances (see biomagnification). For this reason, the FDA recommends limiting consumption of certain (predatory) fish species (e.g. albacore tuna, shark, and swordfish) due to high levels of toxic contaminants such as mercury, dioxin, PCBs and chlordane.[2] More than 50 percent of the world fish oil production is fed to farmed salmon."
Who is stating that BEHL will not enter these markets through wholesale? You are misleading.
Two new lab tech's---
More tech's = more inoculation = more pbrs = revenue! Go BEHL
Also, I am curious to see what happens with the "More Team Pictures" on the website? My guess, as they add staff, this button will be functional......I view this as a good thing. They are confident enough to add lab tech's and field tech's = revenue soon. Just my 2 cents.
Looking good. I like seeing the Green in this demo unit. Also, their team building photos are pretty cool---
Also, please keep in mind that they will be replacing the tubes in a week or so with the "new and improved" seemless tubes....so I would expect the camera to be down for a day or so.....I will fully expect the Gator to bitch and moan---the camera is down again...the sky is falling, sell sell sell.
Thank you for your input Phaeton....I always enjoy reading your post. No B.S., no agenda and straight to the point. We need Orkin to remove the rodents and reptiles from this forum.
1)Lack of Performance (bringing in customers),
2)Personality conflict with Dennis, and
3)Excellent Scientist, Poor Leader.
Basically, BEHL cut their ties before it would cost anymore $ in salary, benefits and stock options. Was it premature? Who knows? But, what is done is done...the phone is still on, they have major prospects showing up in the next two weeks, DVJ will be up within 2-4 weeks (I would suspect photo's to soon follow with some sort of "ribbon cutting), the new "replacement" tubes will be in within 2 weeks.....business is moving forward....we can only look forward.
I am mixed on Brian's resignation. He added "credibility" to BEHL with his resume....but, what "value" did he bring to the table? With the exception to one "In-touch Tuesday".....we never heard from him? He wasn't the leader of BEHL. Dennis and Monique are still running the ship. With his resume, you can bet his salary was very generous.....was 90 days enough time to show results? Who knows? But, BEHL is still making progress. DVJ is getting closer, Helmet is perfecting an Oil Extraction System...and Jose is still looking for additional land. Maybe, we will loose out on Federal grants....? Only time will tell...............I am still long on this one.....
Thanks for the post...interesting article...California is NOT a tax friendly state...it will be interesting on how the Utah application pans out with incentives to move to Saint George...? We should have an answer within 60 days.....in the mean time....I am looking forward to photos of DVJ. My best quess...we should see some "official" company photo's within 14-20 days....PR stuff.
I miss you gator (LOL)..thanks for your insight (LOL)....now go back under the rock you crawled out from (LOL)...
....I think the whole issue is finding the "right" mix in components. The Semen's system seems to be working, the pig has been replaced, the corners are working...they just need to find stronger bags from Shannon Plastics (or another vendor) that can withstand the pressure....this thing is still in R & D with customers waiting. I know Dennis is right on these problems. But, it is all part of the pain in a start-up. The clock is ticking and many people are watching this company...once they get it right, the pps will reflect their success.
On a side note, it will be interesting if they develop an extraction system "in-house" or outsource? They had mentioned that they submitted some provisional patents last week in the press release......? Makes you think a little.....
I have faith in BEHL and the team to get it right. They have too many "positive" things going for them…an emerging industry, a Federal Government that has shown interest in helping this industry…Brian Goodall submitting for Federal Money (which he helped successfully obtain for Sapphire--why not us also?)……and a Billion Dollar Omega 3 industry…..
I am pretty sure it is tomorrow. I am concerned about the camera being down. My "gut" says there are issues with the bags again (leaking). It will be interesting on what Steve's "hands on" DD will prove. However, I would rather have them work out these issues on the test site vs. implementing the full scale PBR's in Death Valley. I think the pps should hover around the high .004 to mid .005 as the dilution occurs to raise funds for DVJ. Once the DVJ site is up and running (late summer)...and revenue is coming in....the pps should finally start its way back up. Just my 2 cents. As always stated…I am long on this one….. these "hiccups" in testing the system will eventually pan out.
It was pretty minor. I live in Southern Cali. Just a 10 sec jolt. No damage.
