Gotta love that!
I have emails about the Q4 2015 SS not being out in late March 2016 as well.
The SS being perpetually late doesn't make KBLB a bad company, but it's a bad look to people that value professional communication.
What irks me more than a late SS is when people obtusely refuse to 'remember' that the SS is almost always an unmitigated disaster from a communications perspective.
Scrap it and use the damn Facebook page.
One date was on the website that they missed, and Ben had told me this would be on or before 1/20, so that's two.
Spider Sense is, and always will be, a black mark for KBLB until they can meet a freaking self-imposed deadline.
Have a release day, meet it, and use FB for intermittent, non-PR communications.
It's always amateur hour in the communication wing of KBKB.
Hey, I love the what (SP), just not sure about the why. I'm not looking this gift horse in the mouth just yet, just enjoying the ride.
Define a big block?
I don't believe you can really know that without talking to CSC.
They could be:
1) Selling at normal levels and you don't notice it
2) Selling smaller blocks so you don't notice it
3) Holding through the gains
There's no way, without CSC/KBLB confirmation to know whether it's 1,2,3,4 or none of the above.
How do you know CSC isn't selling, as a fact? We're busting 30d volume averages daily, so shares are certainly moving.
Addition: Keeping in mind, of course, that I'd love this to be true. But maybe you could try and confirm via CSC directly?
Whoa...424K order on the Ask.
Always, and know that your story has touched me personally and has instilled an even greater sense of dedication to the new role which I'll be undertaking soon.
Blessings, and best of luck to you both here and in all your ventures.
From my limited understanding, anything after 0.076 or so was blue sky, with the next obvious ceiling being the 0.099, which never broke last Fall.
I think we need news for that.
1.4M shares moved and it's only 8:30AM on the West Coast. This feels an awful lot like the Fall run where all the sudden we had 2,3,4,10M shares moving around.
With news, we could be on a precipice of a fundamentally new trading floor. Without it, we still seem to be in good shape to settle at higher lows when this all shakes out.
Baby is due on the last day of Q1, so I invite our 800lb gorilla to come whenever they feel like the time is right! I'd love to be able to subsidize some at home time with our son.
Well it's already all sold and the PPS popped back up to 0.0825, so it didn't really do much other that make someone $16k happier.
No more big blocks on the board at the moment.
Somebody's got a 200k slug to unload at 8.2 that might halt that buying pressure for a bit.
Seems early to say. 200k+ shares trading at was a pretty firm ceiling for a while...
Nice start either way
EDIT: 400K+ and rising
These 7.5s falling is interesting and unexpected (to me).
I'm with you, Bob. At the end of the day, I know that I could flip some shares here and there and maybe wind up on the winning end of a deal, but I don't have the time, energy, or frankly the expertise to make that a winning gamble.
I have my shares, and they're mine until I sell them for cash. That gives me a sense of assurance where others are trying to completely max out their potential gains by flipping. Both are viable strategies, but one is far simpler than the other, and at this point in my life, I like the simplicity
My guess would be no PR before the SS, but as I often say, I'd love to be wrong.
From what I gather, we're due for a little retrace but I'd love to see this slow burn keep going. I just feel like there are too many people that bought at 4-6 that would want to take a profit at some point.
Maybe tomorrow will be MORE exciting! :)
Yessir. It's a market holiday.
Coincidence?
The leaders of the People’s Committee met and worked with the leaders of Kraig Biocraft Laboratories Company (USA)

On January 05th 2017, Chairman Dinh Van Thu and Vice Chairman Le Tri Thanh chaired the meeting with Kraig Biocraft Laboratories Inc., (KBLB) on cooperating in research and development of the hi-tech silk worm strains in Quang Nam province to produce high quality silk for export to the US market.
Attending the meeting were the leaders of the Department of Planning and Investment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Industry and Trade, Natural Resources and Environment, the Center for Public Administration and Investment Promotion Office and PPC Office.
The KBLB representatives of included Mr. Kim K. KBLB Thompson, CEO, Jon Rice, COO, Mr. Kenneth Le, Vietnam Representative and Ms. Angela Ching, Lawyer.
The KBLB’s CEO cited that the Company is based in the State of Michigan, USA. After 15 years of collaborative research with the Universities of Wyoming and Notre Dame, the Company has successfully bred transgenic silkworms on breakthrough basis to produce high quality silk of super strength, safety, environmentally friendly and high competition and high economic value ... The Company plans to search for a place for development and investment in large-scale production to meet the increasing demand of the US and international markets. In particular, the Company wished to cooperate with Quang Nam to research and develop a hi-tech sericulture project which requires ??a land area about 2000 hectares.
Specifically, 200ha will be used to build a research and development center to create hi-tech hybrid silkworm strains which can be multiplied in provision for local farmers engaged in breeding silkworms and producing cocoons for the project; 1800 hectares of land owned by farmers will be engaged in farming contract to grow mulberry, breed silkworms and supply high quality cocoons for the Company. The Company will first of all concentrate on workforce training aimed at creating new jobs and stable incomes to thousands of farmers engaged in the project.
After having listened to the Company’s presentation on the project overview and exchanged opinions in a spirit of mutual understanding and cooperation of both parties, Chairman Dinh Van Thu affirmed that Quang Nam province highly appreciates the KBLB’s development plan and will do its best to cooperate with the KBLB in effective research, development and implementation of this important and significant project, especially so as to help actively recover the traditional sericulture industry of the province creating more jobs for the local farmers in the districts of Duy Xuyen, Dai Loc, Dien Ban... and simultaneously requested that after field visit, the KBLB prepares and submits an investment project proposal for approval and early implementation. Quang Nam province committed to establish a task force including key members of the relevant departments, agencies and localities to actively cooperate with the KBLB in research, development and implementation of this project .
On behalf of the KBLB, Mr. Kim K. Thompson- CEO expressed his sincere thanks to Quang Nam PC and its departments and agencies for taking time to meet with the KBLB and also pledged to accelerate the research, preparation and completion of the procedures for early implementation of the project in order to create thousands of new jobs for local workers, bringing many benefits to both Quang Nam province and the KBLB.
On the same day, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Center for Public Administration and Investment Promotion have taken the delegation to the proposed sites, visiting some mulberry farms and silkworm breeding and silk reeling facilities in Duy Xuyen district.
Investment Promotion
Quiet to point that I explicitly asked about this a few months back and got stone walled. It wasn't a passive omission.
I believe it takes another solid PRETTY to break 7.5, personally. I'd love to be wrong though!
silkworms at any stage of their lives egg/larva/caterpillar/moth are not "animals" per se.
Man, that $0.075 resistance is for real. Lots of people probably taking healthy profits from the 3's through the 5's, which in months past were more than available.
Love to see the shifts to new local highs and don't even mind a healthy retrace, as I like many here, think that this is the first PR of many in the next few months that might take KBLB out of the single digits for good.
Ha, I like where this person's thinking is going:
MAXM 0.14 250000 09:30
Well let's be in total AGREEMENT than we want KBLB to lay down the hammer themselves, very soon :)
I disagree, I think VN can say more about what their country is doing than KBLB can do responsibly.
We do not speak for VN, and VN does not speak for us, but VN does speak for VN, and that holds a whole lot of weight.
Do y'all think that VN publishing their article forced Kim's hand with respect to having to PR this now? The Kraig release was so depauparate, in proportion...
That's a very pretty trade board, to say the least.
200,000 share block sitting on the Ask ($0.0679).
It really is holding nicely, isn't it?
It's important for all of us to remember sometimes that the investing pool at-large represents many more people than the few schmucks like us that spend our day on the message board poring over the minutia of everything Kim, Jon, and even lil-ol' Ben, say.
There's potential here, and we may be too close to it sometimes to see the forest for the trees.
Oh goodness, don't even tease. People on this board are immune to sarcasm and you'll be bombarded with imbeciles responding to that haha
I had a feeling we'd have a quiet Tuesday when we had a quiet Monday.
I just want Kim and Jon to make a 30s YouTube video each where they read their own words about improving communication, with the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme playing in the background.
Maybe we can throw soft tomatoes, as well...haven't decided there.
Addition: I'm now fairly certain than Ben lied to my (electronic) face. We'll see where we are at the end of the month but I'm directing all future messages to Jon only.
I post this only as a preemptive strike against the all too familiar "The sky is falling" crowd.
You and I both understand that nobody has quit the race, and that time is of the essence as there are other sharks in the water.
They may be smaller sharks now, but given time to grow, they can prove to be problematic in the future.
Tick, tock Kim.
From the full text:
The as-spun NT2RepCT fibers had a qualitatively similar stress:strain behavior to native spider silk in that they displayed an initial elastic phase up until a yielding point, after which plastic deformation occurred. The mechanical characteristics of the fibers were highly reproducible, although the toughness and ultimate tensile strength were lower than in native silk (Supplementary Fig. 7; Supplementary Table 2). One possible way to increase the toughness could be to spin NT2RepCT fibers with diameters closer to that of native dragline silk, as this apparently has an impact on the mechanical properties of silk fibers. The toughness of NT2RepCT fibers (45 MJ/m3) is, to the best of our knowledge, by far the highest hitherto reported for as-spun fibers.
Only news can sustain and stoke that fire. The next few weeks could be very enlightening one way or the other.
KBLB has never been a company to capitalize on momentum. Hopefully, we're closer to being able to do that soon.
