Unfortunately, this is the feeling I got in about the 3rd conference call. In the first two, he said he wouldn't raise the A/S...period. In the 3rd CC, he said he wouldn't raise the A/S unless it was required by the funding source.
This was Dean opening the door to raising the A/S, in my opinion. He's acquiring all of the acquisitions but has no money. How do you operate a business with no money? The rise of the A/S is inevitable, in my opinion, unless he gets funding very soon (I put about a 1% of that happening).
This sucks.
Dean...get funding done...that's all.
Please.
I bet you are right.
Are you using "imminent" sarcasticly...or are you serious?
I'll have to admit...I didn't think CET had this potential. This seems to be a good acquisition IF these revenue and EBITDA projections are accurate.
The way the PR was worded, it sounded like the financials numbers were simply that...projections...and not something CET has done in the past. I hope it comes to fruition.
And I hope Deano has been working his tail off to get some funding in the last month.
I'm not concerned about losing Newby...everyone knew from the beginning it wasn't going to happen through him.
It's close to an annual low...what makes you think the market is expecting something good?
If the market is expecting something good, we certainly wouldn't be in the cellar.
Well, what's worse?
No PR...or a grossly delayed PR that talks about the "shells" he just acquired?
At this point, no PR might be the better alternative.
God, I'm a loser for buying this POS.
He's the CEO...it may not be his fault, but he's responsible and accountable...that's the bottom line.
And again...do you really think there will be a shareholders meeting with nothing getting done?
Or maybe it wasn't....like most things QASP.
Good grief...I hope you turn that $26K into $2.6M somewhere else.
Dean, I know you read this board. If you meant "early next week" to mean the week of 8/9...just tell us brother.
Tell us SOMETHING....quit hanging us out to dry.
Actually, apparently "early next week" means sometime in the future.
It just makes you feel like he's playing games at this point.
Who says there will be an update "early next week" to shareholders, then delivers NOTHING? Not a word...not a peep...not a "hey guys, I know I said early in the week, but things have come up and I need two more days"?
For all the goodwill that resulted from his conference calls (at least he communicated), this is horrible to leave his own shareholders hanging like this...it's not right - especially with all the delays.
Does he have a soul? Dean, do you have a soul?
Deano is not communicating ANYTHING and IR is going on a 3 day "event" - either highly good news or highly bad news, in my opinion.
Past experience tells me to brace for impact.
Right now, I'm thinking a combination of A and B. Realistically, I'm thinking B...hoping for C.
Understatement of the year. Does anyone else still feel like they've been "had" who still hold this?
I just don't want to feel alone...hold me.
Incorrect
I agree that common sense says the meeting goes on. But I would be very uncomfortable with my plane ticket and hotel reservation if no progress had been made leading up to the meeting.
And I know I'm not alone.
Do you honestly think there will be a SH meeting if none of this stuff gets done?
I don't.
I don't know what type of games they like to play, but if I'm the CEO of a company and I say I'm going to PR something in X given days...I better make sure that happens, regardless of the message.
It's business 101...things this trivial should never be overlooked. It kills credibility.
Things may have happened with the acquisitions...that's fine...but you are entitled to communicate with the shareholders in the timeframe you mentioned. Not doing so tells your shareholders you don't give a damn.
You just can't continue to leave people hanging like this...or, I guess you can, but it's not very appropriate.
No...imo
I haven't...too disappointing.
Beat's me...I don't get it myself.
There's no more shares to dilute.
True....not good if that happens.
The shareholder meeting told me two things:
1) He anticipates alot of good things before the meeting...he's under no obligation to have a shareholder's meeting, so I can only assume some of those good things will happen before the meeting.
2) If good things don't happen before the meeting...and there are no guarantees that it will...that Dean has the courage to stand up in front of those shareholders and explain...that says something to me.
I hope he doesn't delay the meeting if funding and other deliverables continue to be delayed.
No, I didn't "say" that what's he was doing...I said I wouldn't be surprised if that's what we see.
You can try to make me out to be a "basher" all you want (whatever that means), but the truth is I post my opinion based on what makes sense.
It doesn't make sense to me that dean has found 4 new companies to acquire that no one has heard of yet. He mentioned these acquisitions fall within the marine/auto industry...and the shells that were created (4 of them) fall within the marine/auto industry. So, it makes sense that these MAY be the acquisitions. It doesn't take a PhD in Logic to come to the conclusion that it may be a possibility.
I find it highly unlikely that we get details on 4 brand new companies that no one on this board have never posted about...but that's just me.
And yes, I own shares...roughly half a million...not a lot to some, but alot to me. I've been waiting this out for over a year like many others here and have not sold a share yet.
I don't know how he can accomplish a "detailed" run-down of 4 acquisitions in one PR...that would be a long PR. At least by my definition of "detailed".
Yes, I own shares.
And what points to the fact that these acquisitions will have revenues? We're all just guessing at this point....and I hope I'm wrong.
In my opinion, we're going to see these 4 "shells" as the acquisitions next week. I'd be disappointed if this happened, but I won't be surprised.
I'm hoping Dean has something up his sleeve and surprises me, but there is nothing concrete that points in that direction.
I hope Dean shakes up the world starting tomorrow, but I have my doubts.
Let's use some common sense here. None of these 4 acquisitions are the initial "targeted acquisitions". He doesn't have the money to buy them yet. Now, all of a sudden, he can acquire 4 more companies? If they were worth anything, where would he find the money to buy 4 companies?
In my opinion, these are going to be "potential" money-making acquisitions...where we're looking at some type of new/different technology to advance the marine/auto industry.
Based on everything Dean has said over the last 3 months, there's no way he just pulled a huge chunk of change out of the air to pay for anything that will be lucrative for the shareholders.
In my opinion, this is what we'll see. He doesn't have any money to buy anything that's money-making. I will be disappointed if this is the case, but I'm expecting it. We shall see.
Over the last year, I remember posters tracking of some of his flights, so I think he uses the QASP planes...not positive though.
You'd think an aerospace company would have planes to use.
Is this a new video, or the most previous CC is just being posted?
Would they have to change the symbol?
I mean besides Mineseeker. Is it safe to assume the need to change the name was a result of these 4 acquisitions...or is that a bad assumption?
Where does the "international" piece come in? Is Solarari (sp?) or any of the other marine/automotive ventures outside of the US...I guess Tigerfish is in Australia, right? Has Tigerfish closed as an acquisition...I can't keep all this stuff straight.
I hear ya...just saying that I don't want people thinking this is "the big one" just yet. It's likely an opportunity to make some $$$ "if" a new type of technology unfolds.
Potential...yes...significant uptick in the SP on Monday...I doubt it.
Exactly my point...these acquisitions are for the marine and automotive industry...nothing to do with the original acquisitions that will make QASP money.
I guess it's a start if these acquisitions are actually worth anything....I guess we'll see.
