A thing which caught my eye reading through tuesdays court docs was following.
4. Pursuant to section 363(b) of the Bankruptcy Code the Debtors are authorized, but
not required, to make Capital Contributions to Chemtura Shanghai Co Ltd., in an amount not to
exceed $400,000, without further review by the Committee pursuant to the Capital Contribution
Procedures.

We know Sinopec was interested in Chemtura a few months ago but tha deal did not go through. So yeah this has me wondering if it would be somehow connected.
Scratching through .45 someone should grab a hammer.
2 mil volume and not even halfway through the day.
Release the buyers.
We going to test mid .40s today?
Damn these guys work fast, the order only was approved yesterday if I am not mistaking.

It would probably make the news on radio Tam Tam in Zimbabwe aswell.
Yeah we might be consolidating but not bactracking because of a too strong uptrend.
They will have to be quick.
Leave now! lol
You could buy the original Herbie.
I might, I've been thinking of doing that at 1$. But then again, there is a good chance I will roll the dice and ride this of towards the horizon.
I only have 30k shares, piggie bank is empty. Now and again I also think I wish I had more, but then I realise I should be happy to have the possibility to hold 30k. Which I am, I bought my sisters kids a small deck of Chems aswell. :)
Close HOD would be nice. :)
Verry Chexy.
Would still be nice to close even today.
It should, but we will see.
KEIP order approved.

This could be old but I sawthis for a firs time today and I can not check dates also did not find other sources.
Going through the internet I stumble on this:
... as the adviser to Close Brothers Private Equity on its acquisition of the UK-based industrial water chemicals business of US-listed Chemtura for US$85m. ...
It linked to this page...
http://www.buyoutseurope.com/subsAccessInfo.asp
Anyone know if this is something from years ago?
I am guessing it is really oldn when I do a search on that website for chemtura it has only 1 subject dating from 2006. Chances are high it is that item, so nvm. :)
.40 seems like a tough nut to crack.
Think we might hear something on the equity commity today?
But again that last sentence:
Instead, the KEIP, which the
Debtors developed through an extensive internal process and deliberation with the Committee, is
an incentive-based plan that is tied to substantial performance metrics that, if satisfied, will inure
to the benefit of all stakeholders in these chapter 11 cases.
Presume we emerge and the KEIP kicks in then, they say "It will be to the benefit of all stakeholders IN these chapter 11 cases". They are not saying it will benefit the stakeholders after the chapter 11 cases...
The KEIP is an incentive for succesfully reorganising. If I am not mistaking.
Same here, only that last sentence got me going. To me it seems to be pointing towards that direction. I could be wrong, and to see it that way I still had to read between the lines. So I suppose I could be reading what I want to read. If I am the only one one who sees it that way I suppose I am. :)
I am enjoying the ride, but we have not had anything in writing from the company which confirms this. That last sentence comes really close in my opinion to saying exactly that. Are you seeing this in the same light as I am? Or am I seeing things and misinterpreting these words?
If it was up to me it would look even nicer next month.
Guys? Seriously how do you look at that paragraph from the court doc?
Think about it...
For the topbras to receive the KEIP incentive the company needs to emerge from BK. We are a part of all stakeholders. So in other words we will still be stakeholders when the KEIP is executed, meaning after emerging...Right? If we are still stakeholders after emerging that must mean commons shall not be canceled???
Chemturas reply to US Trustees objection:
http://www.kccllc.net/documents/0911233/0911233090727000000000007.pdf
I like this bit:
29. The Debtors have provided ample evidence to support approval of the KEIP.
First, contrary to the U.S. Trustee’s contention, the KEIP is far from simply being a program to
provide “disguised retention bonuses” to the Debtors’ employees. Instead, the KEIP, which the
Debtors developed through an extensive internal process and deliberation with the Committee, is
an incentive-based plan that is tied to substantial performance metrics that, if satisfied, will inure
to the benefit of all stakeholders in these chapter 11 cases.
The benefit of all stakeholders - I guess that includes us. It is pretty close to saying commons will not be canceled is it not?
Nothing much to say really, but just for the record GO CEMJQ!
Or a statement from Chemtura in response to the trustees' KEIP objection.
SWOT analysis, for those interested.

Bounced of .305 five times today I think, new support in the making?
I bought in at .374 used last two weeks to lower my avg to .30 so after about 3-4 weeks I'm in green since yesterday for the first time. :)
I'm not rich at all so atm I am thinking I should use this opportunity to keep hold of these as long as I can. I'm speaking 1-2-3 years after the company emerges from BK. We will see how it goes but it would make me less poor. Then I can start thinking about helping out some of my friends and family who are not too rich either. :)
I love to see this go up, although I have no short term selltarget.
Wasn't there someone on here who went to a fortune teller who told him he would be happy around the end of this month?
We will need big players to hit this to a dollar, but once we reached that milestone we will see huge players stepping up to the plate. There is allways a bigger fish.
I'm expecting some consolidation today around .26 - .27, hoping the run continues toward mid .30's, we will see.
