You too.. Vikings don't have harem ? :o) You can go on a rampage then.. see you monday..
Thank god for small breaks.. any case, dumped my MMD ... not going to wait for extra dime or so when it closes if exchange rate stays here that is so who knows..
One of my dogs, MMD .. that is MDSI on Naz, taken out at USD 8.00.. Enough shares to enjoy a one week vacation..
Started the day in fine mood any ways.. Look at MSTR.. I had picked this sucker at 4.5 .. summer of 2002 but did not buy because thread where I was discussing it, participants were not very keen.. Always pays to remember that not every one look at this same way.. Have missed too many based on other people's reaction.. Better to do your own thing.. right or wrong..
Thanks... After trying it 2-3 times, seems to have cleared up itself..
Today when I signed on to Ameritrade Command, no quotes and my lists are not displaying.. A message said, I have to agree to all three agreements, Nasdaq, NYSE and OPRA to receive any quotes but I don't see where I am supposed to agree to these agreements.. Do you have any problems ?
lol.. ok.. nice day here .. supposed to be around 26 afternoon..
Good for you.. So far no new buys.. No new ideas.. Taking minor hits here and there.. I am not a happy camper today..
Right.. Just noticed.. now got to figure out what to buy ..
My entry was at 1.60 .. mentioned it here when I bought it.. so yeah not bad but I was not using my head which is what I am grumbling about.. lol..
Dumped my SYNX.. prematurely I am sure.. but had only 1k so got a bit pissed.. lol..
They are having problem with streaming quotes apparently per the main page.. I dont see anything under Command Centre..
should have bought a ton of SYNX that I reported on July 11.. Bummer..
me too.. just have to forget about it unless you can write it off against other gains..
Only oil stock I have at this time is EGY on Amex.. small cap and relatively small position.. They are supposed to announce results of a well being developed any day..
with ALA preannouncement, NT LU etc. doing better.. bummer.. no position at this time..
I bought SYNX at 1.60 .. will keep it for a while.. just a token position..
token always = 1k shares
Take it easy.. No new position here.. Just watching.. ATY doing well again.. but did not add when it crapped out..
Good to hear that.. May be we should post here again.. seeing how we still look at things here.. and you do play in american techland.. My half decent gainer today is CAMP .. too bad I bought at higher prices but fundamentally sound.. They reported last night..
Looked at it at 14.30.. never bought.. guess I will retire as rest of the board here.. hope you are doing better ..
Well, I have lots of dogs for sure.. One reason I have to look for validation any where I can find it.. LOL.
How are you doing otherwise.. Hope you are feeling better ..
my longterm hold, LTV inching to break into new 52 week high..
mixed bag here.. Not so hot.. caught in ATY..
As for Ameritrade, guess we will have to see if TD Waterhouse Canada will roll Ameritrade Canada platform into theirs or upgrade theirs to Ameritrade Canada.. If they take away the low commission, I will move my dollars to Interactive Brokers..
TD Waterhouse Canada announces purchase of Ameritrade Canada
Dear xxxi,
On June 22, 2005 TD Waterhouse Canada announced its intention to purchase the Canadian operations of Ameritrade. In Canada, the merged entity will operate under the name TD Waterhouse. TD Waterhouse is a leader in the Canadian discount broker industry and also offers clients a comprehensive range of additional wealth management services.
The proposed acquisition is part of a larger transaction announced today in which Ameritrade will acquire the U.S. brokerage business of TD Waterhouse U.S.A. and is conditional on that transaction closing, as well as customary closing conditions. Both this acquisition and the larger transaction require regulatory approvals. The closing is expected to occur in about six months.
Our commitment to Ameritrade Canada clients
We are committed to ensuring that there will be no changes for now and that means:
You will continue to access your account through the same web address and same phone numbers and the same e-mail address
Commissions, fees and account numbers stay the same
All current products and services will continue to be available
The same service that you have come to expect
With the added resources of TD Waterhouse, we are confident that we can continue to meet your present and future needs. As we integrate our operations you will get:
Access to a network of Investor Centres
Access to a more comprehensive range of wealth management services
Access to integrated banking and investment services
We want to assure you that for now it will be business as usual and there are no changes to your account or the products and services you currently have access to. As we finalize the transaction we are committed to minimize any impact on Ameritrade Canada clients. Our goal will be to provide an enhanced level of products and services after the merger is approved. You will be kept informed of all developments through updates on the Canadian web sites of TD Waterhouse and Ameritrade. We will notify you personally, in writing and well in advance, about any merger-related changes to your accounts. You will continue to have uninterrupted access to your accounts.
We look forward to having all Ameritrade Canada clients as part of the TD Waterhouse family and are confident we will provide a new level of service and wealth management services that are unparalleled in Canada.
Sincerely,
John See

Seems techs and american markets is where the action is.. Everything I own is the dumper.. including ATY and host of others.. so farking depressing...
lol.. and I am beginning to.. had many missgivings and had opportunities to bail with dinner money and all the trading actions in the stock was telling you that..
ATY will be under pressure today..
Too bad no body is around..
in penny land check out what NII.to has been doing.. Mentioned it here some time back without taking a position..
I need to make an appt. with you Reza.. Run some tests to see if there is anything wrong with my brain..
Right.. Guess we will catch up here periodically until the Fall..
Looks like we are about done on this thread.. markets going nuts last couple of weeks but most here, including yours truly, is not here.. really.. too many misses for me.. might just go out and look for a minimum wage job.. at least that would be productive..
SW from low of 8 few weeks ago to here now.. Bummer.. should just pack it in and stop watching the damn markets..
Still here.. Not doing much..
OK.. We should talk about what you play on Ameritrade .. lots one could scalp but I still manage to screw that up..
working now.. including command centre..
yes.. so far can't signon and have not heard from them, yet..
Yeah I know.. I sent them a message.. Have not heard.. investment, investmenta and investmentb, all three of them said Server Currently Busy..
Pissed..
For pinksheets you will need to call in orders at interactive brokers for sure.. once you have to talk to a live person, your order is at 30 bucks or so.. I don't deal with pink sheets..
Not sure what the rules are at ameritrade canada for pinksheets..
You can lookup both Ameritrade Canada (where you can only buy/sell american markets at 10.99 per order) and http://www.interactivebrokers.com (where you can buy both american and canadian - cheap commission for smaller orders) .. really if you don't need hand holding like talking to a live broker and are used to doing online trading, then platform and execution is no contest.. Once these guys start offering RRSP, bank discount brokers will have a tougher time.. Incidentally, I deal with both..
Highly recommended.. You can always call them both and ask any questions you might have before opening the account..
Yes.. have been for couple of years now.. same deal as on american side.. Based in Toronto..
