A thought worth considering. Yes, the oil spill is a disaster -- it is a crisis, and this administration has told us that no crisis should go to waste.

I think we have to consider the idea that the obama administration and the dems have not wanted to end this disaster quickly because they see it as a chance to further their agenda. They are using it to stop, or at least highly control oil drilling -- if you cannot stop it, you can regulate it to death. They are using it to hugely raise taxes on oil companies, and now they want to expand those taxes to include taxes on all oil from whatever source, not just offshore oil. They will try to use it to pass their cap and tax scam, and all other taxes they can think of.

Why stop the oil spill when it is paying so many legislative dividends for their agenda?

This should be scaring the heck out of all of us.

I disagree with you here. Those who commit atrocities during war but who escape death during that war, should be punished for their crimes. The Irish aid ship, the Rachel Corrie is less than 100 miles from Gaza, but Israel's foreign minister has said it will not be allowed to dock there.

Of course they will not allow the ship to pass. The Israeli's are doing what they have every right to do, and exactly what they should do.
