Well, this popped up on my LinkedIn today.. got me excited for a split second 😭

I had this suspicion about AMLO for a very long time.I’m sure he’s not the sole obstacle, but we know if he was on board our projects would be operating by now.
I also believe Ward has had to jump through certain hoops and take various angles in order to please the right people within Mexico, perhaps even including AMLO. These attempts obviously haven’t been enough and no one knows the reason why.. but things like the NHL partnership with Moreno and the blank website. Questionable financiers we all scratched our head at.. I believe these were attempts to get the chips to fall in the right place. Appease the right connections to get this deal done. Some of it worked as evidenced by the projects being listed in the national infrastructure plan earlier in AMLO’s term.. and the meeting we saw on twitter with the head guy that was (still is?) running the C||T / Isthmus mega project! You could see the pipelines on the TV screen in the room. Man alive!!
As frustrating as this investment has been, never forget that and everything else we’ve seen.
Something I’ve always thought about, a key example of how something like our little company could make it big is the same manner that Whitewater Midstream did. Some ex- CFE guys had the “in” with the right people in MX, and were awarded out of nowhere multi-million dollar projects. If it happened for them, it could happen for us.
The only path forward is for Ward to get some work. Anything. And file!!! And hold this company over until AMLO is out of office late Q4 2024. And then hope to God we get some of his cronies in the right seats of influence to open the floodgates.
Thanks Need
Good posts Penny. Enjoyed the pics. I’ve always been a believer and still am. Pics are always an encouragement.
Interesting group for an MOU. Any ideas as to why?
Congrats everyone. Light at the end of the tunnel. Let’s get our deals
Bummer, do you know why he separated himself from Mirage? How did Ward feel about it?
I always thought Horacio was a strange figure. Always in pictures by himself and referring to himself as the president of the PetroChem council, yet no other faces ever shown nor could I ever find info on his organization. This was pretty cool though to see him sitting with Nahle.
I remember Ward saying he’d have a meeting with the CRE in 2020. This to me, is enough to affirm it as truth. If any of you have paid the slightest attention at all in the recent years, you would know the CRE has been a clogged pipe to deal with. The permits, the permits, the permits. They’ve kept them locked up for many. Does this give credence to that when Ward raised money saying it was for permits he was telling the truth? Could be.
I know everyone is frustrated and stressed and feels all hope is lost.. it’s not. Keep your head in the game.
“ some of the biggest supportes/ posters, who are texas residents selling was enough to wake me up.. “
Texas resident here, also a known supportive poster on this board and still am. Also, still holding shares. In January 2021 I did sell a good chunk of my shares, but only because I was let go from my job in a dying oil and gas industry, had a 4 month old on formula, and a wife & mortgage, with just a few thousand in my bank account since I had my every dime in MRGE (despite the unsolicited advice of many). As I expressed to you and many others, my action to reduce down to my core position was due to my circumstances that necessitated it, not a change in outlook. I can expound more on my positive convictions on Mirage, but I’ve posted these sentiments a few times over the past several months.
Lastly, my “wall paper”, A friend of mine and his dad got their MRGE certificates deposited. They lined me up with exactly what I needed to do… I chose not to. Also something I told you and many others, I didn’t want to have those shares accessible because I knew I’d be tempted to sell them, and I believe deep down it’s best to hold.
As I say in just about every post, when Mexico stops playing hardball with the private sector, and actually executes the National Infrastructure Plan (some of which even pre-dates AMLO) then we are in the money. I still believe, support, and hold.. if this was directed at me, or if anyone is wondering. I’m still here.
“ since at the beginning many companies and industries were forced to change the work scheme.”
Exactly. The delays are from Mexico playing hardball.
Our day will come
So Carmen isn’t impressive afterall… Post 33853 is the article to be excited about. Even it being 4 months old, still gold.
Macod explained earlier the more recent updates read 2025 to begin operations.. That’s the year following the end of AMLO’s term. Which, I’ve always had the inkling AMLO or Nahle have been our road blocks. At the same time, there clearly have been reasons during this administration that Ward thought his projects would still go despite them.
Interesting!
Perhaps, I didn’t see that one come out. I agree though, this is a breath of fresh air. However, I I have to maintain that the same political barriers that have held our projects up until this point are still in place. I will once again feel the imminence of our projects starting if 1) a significant change in the MX administration happens or 2) we continue to see objective news coverage AND it signifies that the time is truly at hand. Horacio won’t do.
To me, this article from April one of you posted is the best we’ve seen. An objective source, detailing complaints from a known human/land rights activist (Carlos Beas Torres) who represents a real Union (Uziconi), about a reputable pipeline contractor (Temura), to build a pipeline listed in the National Infrastructure Plan (Jáltipan-Salina Cruz? The Tuxpan starting point throws me off), & financed by 2 American companies.
This is the type of coverage we need more of, but the fact we are getting some, tells me we’re still in the game. Likewise, our projects which are indeed in the National Infrastructure Plan, MX has been silent about. Also, not a peep from anyone to suggest some other billion dollar company (the Sempra’s, Trans Canadas, etc) has our projects. Not a single peep….
https://www.proceso.com.mx/nacional/2022/5/16/comunidades-indigenas-advierten-sobre-construccion-de-gasoducto-en-corredor-interoceanico-286009.html
The older brother of a close friend of mine sent me the link and said “fake news, Andy?” Lol
I don’t read MX related literature anymore.. political nor industry related . Like I said, I spent almost two years doing that for hours each day.. thinking our time was imminent.
Back to sleep! The Dream is alive:
https://www.offshore-technology.com/marketdata/san-fernando-cactus-gas-pipeline-mexico/
Maybe.. what was the last timeline we heard for the infrastructure plan? To be announced in July?
The dollar amount I recall seeing was $3.5B for this one with projects focused on the southeast.
They sure are elusive with their timelines.. there was a time in my life, for about the space of a year, where I would translate AMLO’s daily morning press conference looking for our Grand announcement. Lot of wasted time I spent.. I hope we at least soon will be compensated
Agreed- This is actually the most incredible article we’ve seen yet… by a party completely unassociated with Mirage, covering the indigenous peoples fighting the project. Beas also sounds concerned that the ball is rolling and he wants to 1) stop it or 2) get his cut. Solid confirmation of our involvement. Much different than one of our own ( Horacio Zarate) speaking swelling words about the company.
Also, Temura is legit. Look them up on LinkedIn. Funny thing about this, a few months ago when we learned this isthmus gas line was going out for tender, I asked Ward if the isthmus gas line was part of his isthmus project.. he said no and that none of his projects were going out for tender. A misleading answer to say the least, but I’m happy about it- why? Mirage is the owner of the pipeline, not the contractor! Mirage is awarding these projects. Operating like a real gas company.. and hiring Mexico contractors for the work.
I think the longs here deserve the encouragement. I unfortunately feel like Ward will only bring us current once he has some awesome news to release… I’d like for him to bring us current in the silent of the night so I can buy up more shares, but I’ll be a happy man either way.
Ray of hope. Go Mirage!
In the money! “ the "Mesoamerica Project" will be fulfilled, generating a gas interconnection between the US, Mexico and Central America. This would allow a greater outlet for surplus gas through the fracking technique in the US.”
MoneyMike in the money!
haha!
Imo, there is plenty of truth to these statements. However, I would emphasize that AMLO and his administration is the heart of the problem. Ward thought he’d be able to overcome the nationalistic agenda and persuaded many of us the same… I have had a feeling for a long time now that we need AMLO out. Once that happens, and IF we get someone open to private international investment in the energy sector, then its game on. I also feel as though Ward believes this, but still thinks it’s possible of getting done during AMLO’s presidency. This explains why he has continued his trips to Mexico; If and when the opportunity presents itself, he’s there for it. Whether that be during AMLO’s presidency or after.
Still towing, Ward has very likely met with AMLO. Remember that picture the C||T posted on twitter in September 2020 that had Ward sitting at a table discussing the isthmus lines with Rafael Moreno? Moreno is with AMLO all the time since they work closely together on the Isthmus works.
15. “We’re golden”…. these Wardisms are hilarious, but they hurt
Oh boy, Mexico has abased a man of of that strong of ego? That doesn’t sound positive to me. Sounds like it may be the reason he doesn’t answer calls anymore.. has no more smoke to blow.
I sure hope so, Penny. Worthwalk, to your point, Ward has said in interviews, articles, and over the phone to investors, the same thing. Either “we’re close” or the famous “it’s a done deal”. I personally think the guy just gets ahead of himself. Then that in combination with what we’ve seen publicly in the Mexican press about the national infrastructure package being delayed week after week, it makes sense as to why Ward has so many times felt he was at the finish line.. Alfonso Romo and Carlos Salazaar and the whole CCE have many times been in the same boat. Then you also have Jeff Martin the CEO of Sempra and Wes Edens of New Fortress Energy as well.. years of can kicks for those guys. And not just them, think about all the private players that are involved and probably feel like Ward… the National Infrastructure Plan was supposed to bring in over $100 BILLION USD in investments to the country. They have hardly seen a drop of it and have continually kick the can on the next round of projects to be announced. A lot of people are frustrated. Ward has at least stayed the course and remains cocky as ever, furthering our confusion and distorting our timelines.. like I said, he gets ahead of himself. But clearly, he’s not alone.
Anybody speak with Ward lately? Back when I used to call him somewhat regularly, I got an answer just about every time. Last couple times I’ve called him (once in December, 2x this month) I’ve gotten no answer or call back. Hopefully he’s actually busy now?
Incredible yearly review!! We’ll soon be a rich family.. hopefully lol
Good call worthwalk, tradingformyfuture used to say Ward was much better to catch in the afternoons.. but not because he was easier to reach, but just because he seems to be a “grumpy” morning person lol
I always feel good when Still Towing feels good. I hope that boat sales soon.
Cool
Good work, Worth Walk. Thanks. I’m sure it goes without saying, but the guy always sounds as though news is imminent.. and is sure enough always convincing. Also goes without saying, but I think he knows what he has hence his confidence. But for his cockiness, it’s the reason why we all have been on the edge of our seats forever.
For over a year now, I have stopped listening to what Ward says with regards to timing. I just sit back, betting on the fact that when these huge projects happen, Mirage will be building them.
Thanks again. Hopefully we’re cleaned up within the next couple of days.
Worthwalk, just based off of this excerpt from the article Macod posted:
“It is estimated that, in both cases, the executive projects will be ready during the first two months of 2022, and that their construction will begin between March and April of the same year. “
Thanks Macod! By the sound of that article, we should hear something by the end of February!
Awesome Livefree!!! A MRGE mention from 3 weeks ago! I quote:
In the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, two large North American companies, Mirage Energy and Northern Hemisphere Logistics, agreed to invest 800 million dollars in the construction of a gas pipeline, which is already operating through the coverage of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) and the company Temura.
Hello all, I believe as well as some of you do that the Q will be filed. And for your encouragement, here are some areas that we know are still needing the proposed projects in the National Infrastructure Plan that will provide natural gas:
1/2 bcf/d to the state of Puebla -MRGE PR
1/4 bcf/d to J&E Integral in Chiapas - MRGE PR
The 10 industrial parks in the isthmus
Salina Cruz LNG facility
The Central American pipeline (which is a huge $5B investment)
That’s A TON of demand. IMO these projects will happen, hopefully Ward has had the patience and relationships other companies don’t in pursing these deals.
Have a great weekend.
Let’s hope you’re wrong!
True, I agree he should’ve responded.
Apparently Ward has said he will file and that it’s in the auditors hands, and he hopes it will be filed any day.. not that anyone is hanging on Ward’s word at this point, but it’s his typical response when he’s asked about when he will file.
That article was actually 1 of 5 he sent me on February 15th of this year. All of which were about the same thing; the CFE putting the strategic storage facility back in their business plan
I see your point, but he often doesn’t respond so at least it’s not out of the usual
