Sigh. Ok then
Interesting government report on the societal and legal effects of weed. Basically: everything’s good
https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/pub/82-003-x/2020002/article/00002-eng.htm
Aside from the great earning report today there was some other interesting news I missed yesterday.
Apparently tin cans diffuse the potency of weed beverage products:
“Han said the problem of aluminum cans draining the potency out of pot drinks first came to his attention early last year when Lagunitas, a craft beer subsidiary of Heineken (HEIA.AS), shifted its Hi-Fi Hops cannabis drinks from cans to glass bottles. “
It’s not even a small reduction l, within a few months there’s 97% absorption. Lots of companies have been working on the problem.
So chalk up the product launch to this issue, but once this new revenue channel comes in...skies the limit for revenue.
Cheers to that!

If you know anything about American investing, when a company fails or uses tactics to protect its SP, opportunistic lawyers will bounce in an attempt to make money.
Every major US corp has had this situation or experienced chronic attempts. Most of the time the cases are thrown out...like throwing sh!t at a whole and hoping it sticks.
This is normal and means that the Canadian LPs are grabbing attention. I see this as healthy and positive.
CBC posted a similar report on this: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/major-canadian-pot-companies-facing-proposed-class-action-lawsuits-in-the-u-s-1.5431520
Well, take this with a grain of salt. I’m just passing along active research.
Well, Bruce is unfortunately no longer around and everything is fair game.
Interesting opinion keeps popping back up:

Interesting!!! Bye bye!
Interesting chart of CAD vs US providers: https://imgur.com/gallery/Rj9Pmwx
Lmao. *sighs*
Oh don’t get me wrong, I can pick out a hit piece a mile away.
I’ve personally been accumulating at the low-lows for the past few months. Ready for a skyrocket!
Just saw this hit the headlines: https://finance.yahoo.com/m/badd7019-7ef7-3723-b208-a9ff51b2bd8a/canopy-growth-facing-giant.html?.tsrc=applewf
Lol your chart graphics are getting funkier. :-p
They COULD come alive. You’re right. As the weeks go by this becomes less and less a reality. At this point this is a serious blow to the company.
6-12 month recovery is nowhere in sight. I’m being realistic and commentating on the reality that I predicted months ago.
Interesting who he’s working with.
He also made this comment on TRST: https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/video/linton-says-he-wishes-someone-would-buy-canntrust~1781215
We can certainly agree to disagree. I can however guarantee you that this is a terrible news, don’t fool yourself. The question is can they beat an uphill battle. Only time can tell. It’s going to take years of recovery.
Whoever was calling and hoping for a $4-6 gain a few weeks ago...nope.
Sounds like empty hope. Next news will be about creditors running for the hills. Then they’ll have to find a way to finance an empty operation with 0 banked trust. It’s worse than starting from scratch,
If no one buys out their facility and infrastructure I’d be extremely shocked. There’s value here for another player :-/
Uhm. Their business is done. They are selling NO products and their license is finished. Who’s going to ever buy from them again if they manage to pass the extra extra scrutiny of a re-approval.
Just got their license suspended as of a few minutes ago. Terrible.
My next prediction is a sub-$1 acquisition at appropriately 0.66.
So for those who told me I was a garbage liar for the last few weeks, karmas a bitch. I’m sure y’all are hurting now...and that sucks.
Don’t say you weren’t warned. All the right indicators were in place to suggest a complete collapse.

Annddddd there it is. I called it. Although just a suspension.
Sorry investors
Honestly my thought goes to tobacco players who think it’s too pricey to get in with higher level LPs. Cheap infrastructure acquisition on their part.
However, this is bad news for TRST investors. Your buy price is likely under $2 which is basically the private placement t rates.
:-/
Valid point BUT who’s spending $200mill on a failed Cannabis LP?
Naw you’d see the other parties stock halted as well (usually).
TRST. What a let down. Bahhhhh.
Hehehehe
are we taking bets? 1 bitcoin wagers? Lmao
Same but in this case, I have this gut feeling it’s not going to be favourable. I’m on the edge of my seat. *insert Colbert popcorn meme* lol
Down 3.3% with a halt. This is quite foreboding. Anyone want to wager a guess?
I think HC is about to give us something.
Can anyone else confirm that trading has been halted pending news?
Given the latest headline, you can expect this to be a much harder decision for HC. What happens now is a total crap shoot. :-/
*smacks forehead* it just doesn’t end.
Buy it all up boys! Sale on Canopy get it while it’s cheap :-p doubt you’ll have a better chance
Yup. We WILL get kicked while we’re down. AH trading is look nasty on top of the -6% from the close. Overall down 18%.
It’s serious butthurt but for the longs, we good.
“The increase is primarily attributable to a non-cash charge of $1.2 billion on the extinguishment of warrants held by Constellation Brands (“Constellation”) upon the amendment of the Investor Rights Agreement between Canopy Growth and Constellation.”
They took an opportunity on losing Linton to report the warrant extinguishment. If you read the report and numbers their IP platform is about to start budding and giving some serious returns. Q3 and Q4 are likely to be stellar.
International sales increased and there’s a lot of positive. So don’t just focus on the headlines. This fin report was likely to be trash and any investor worth their gold recognises that. This is a well orchestrated company with a very distinct news cycle and style.
I’m not concerned in the slightest.
Another way to put is: no pain, no possible gain. It’s definitely speculative but if you believe the company can tiptoe the sh!tstorm you’ll make a good return.
You both have valid points. Playing with TRST rn definitely shows you must have big balls.
