I still have 10,000 out of my million. Remember when we were all, going to Vegas when NEOM hit $1.00!!!
Drmyke, I'm jumping in for more also, puts me up to an even 1,000,000 shares. This is one heck of a ride!
EEF has been on NEOM's case for several years...I'm not too worried. I back some of their prior campaigns (DVD personal copy freedom, etc) but think they should keep their noses out of this one.
beam11, evervthing has a price...nothing in the world is really "not for sale." For NEOM as it is at present?? $1.00/pps? $5.00pps? I'd like $10.00 pps! (Well, maybe not quite yet, but he biggies have the cash, and we know they see the market!) If NEOM can keep advancing their marketing plan wo any glitches, any of these valuations might be possible, there's a lot of $$$ in MSFT, Yahoo, GOOG, and who knows who else might be interested. The longer we're left alone, the better, maybe. I know a $3.00+ bid by MSFT would get us all to Vegas next year, hotel picked out yet? I vote for the Rio or Palms, because they're fun, or the LV Hilton, just because it's been there forever, and will always avoid the wrecking balls and explosions because it and Caesars are the only "classics" left!
Elliot1234,
let me ride down this raging river in a raft, or a portage might be nice. A canoe is a little too unpredictable and tippy for me right now! A portage gets you to the same place as running the river, I've had enough excitement in the last week+!!!
besides the few private messages I have sent relating my position in more detail, all I hope for is that TS has had a much worse weekend as far as sleep and stress than we have had!!! PP also. Haven't sold a share, stick with the program folks!
Didn't sell, tempted to buy, but in too much of a funk to do much of anything. Those who sold in a panic (I got the news from TS after the price had slid down the hill, but wouldn't have sold anyhow) are screwed, except for future legal actions.
Good luck to us all!! Still have a positive outlook here.
NFS2, anyone who thinks they are truly "investing," in the true sense, in a stock like Neomedia and not gambling to a large degree, is misguided (I'm trying to stay within the guidelines here!) NEOM only becomes an "investment" when all of us can finally meet in Vegas and shake hands, tell each other how smart we all are, pay off our houses, say goodbye to the neighbors, and retire to our island of choice. No one should place this bet with any $$$ that loss of may effect their lifestyle in a negative way! NEOM seems to be coming together more than falling apart, IMO. Wait. Be patient. Not quite "Don't Worry, be Happy! but......
Some may consider this a fluffy, stupid post, but NEOM is my story and I'm stickin' to it! (Buffett fans out there, Jimmy, not, Warren, obviously!)
DEFINITELY!!! (not hype as requested, just the opinion of a 700,000+ long-term shareholder) Base this on position in market, potential, vision, and being a damn good prognisticator of trends. Plus, if it doesn't, I won't quite be scrambling to meet the house payments, but will be needing a few other investments to come to fruition to realize my retirement dreams of a house on the heights of St. John, USVI!!!!
I just like your term "automagically!!"
This site was just forwarded to me from a "cell phone review" site:
http://www.frucall.com
Seems to be a barcode based shopping/price comparison service, but you actually dial their number and then enter the barcode to get info. Is this a new infringement, or just old news??
Drmyke, may as well add my 15 year old son's 40,000 shares, won't make a blip in the grand total, but it's big for him!
Drmyke, I'm at 750,000 shares, not planning to add any more or sell any until pps reaches 1.50, then might let some go!
I'd look at SYNM also, tech works, just needs to try it elsewhere than f'up Nigeria.
Vical's my choice of the bunch--solid science and multi-strain possibilities for their vaccine.
Don't know who started this board, but have had VICL in my IRA since 1996. Never added much, never sold any, although I wish I would have sold all when it, for whatever reason, shot to almost $70! Then, if I remember, it fell rapidly to earth like a base jumper with a faulty chute. Bought it at the same time I bought ISIS and LGND. Still like them all.
If you're a TS subscriber, you can "opt-out" of his sales pitches. Call them and they'll be gone, although the "TSpam" mails are how I found NEOM really early without spending any $$$!
Cabbie, yes the stocks track in unison. All you have to remember when using the TSX or Aust exch pages for your current quotes is that they're in CDN or Aust currencies. The percentage moves vary a little, but I'm guessing thats currency related. I use a currency converter if I want real $$, but am usually satisfied looking at the % up/down.
Cabbie 70--I get all my Canadian stocks on the "pink sheets" and haven't had any liquidity problems. As far as tracking goes, the Toronto Exchange has a handy tracking service where you cal list all your Canadian stocks and get immediate quotes on all of them. (tsx.com) I keep it in an e-mail folder "QuikQuotes" just open it and sign in.
OK, here's some of the gold/silver I'm looking at:
CZN: The old Bunker Hunt silver mine, just happens to be loaded with more zinc than silver, though both are world class!! CZN will open it up soon, made 200% so far.
CDE: Pure precious, making lots of $$
GG: Best major, ditto
BGOMF or BGO: another older mine opening again. Made 300% in pre open, opens in June, if gold is still good, big bang will come, world class reserves.
easy to explain:
My son's TDWaterhouse portfilio,(real$$$) is all in NEOM, and has een for a while, after being in TSO and some other shares mid last year.
The StockMarketGame (smgww.org) is over for now, restricts shares held to stocks over $5.00 in valus, so I advsed him to go into metals. Had a few non performers in spec oil, but in the last 4 weeks was into gold/silver with big gains in AUY, SIL, HL, and GG. You couldn't hold more than 30% (?) in any one company, if your share in that company was purchased and grew to over 30% that was OK. Therefore, NEOM was never an option to but in the game, but he owns $15,000 of NEOM for real. By the way, he got the $$ for this by losing 85 pounds weight after my dad kept getting on me to get him to lose weight. He was 208 pounds end of 6th grade, dropped 85 pounds by knocking out carbs, with the incentive of $100/lb. Grandpa never thought he'd do anything like that, wrote the check, and promptly started bugging ne to get him to put on some weight! He did it himself w/o any problems, has since then grown taller than me (I'm only 5'7 1/2 at best)and proceeded to do a lot of bike rides, musceled up, and is still is the "happy camper" he's always been! Though nw he looks hike a really cool "California Surfer" in MN!
All I can say is thanks! And I think it's definitely worth our committment. Good weekend to you all, although it's 50 and been raining around Minnesota all day, and will be all weekeend! Andrew (son) ended up 3rd in the StockMarketGame for the metro region, except for that blip in metals last Thurs he would have been first!
I haven't posted here in a while, but have been lurking in background, following all the recent goings on with our NEOM. Haven't sold a share, neither has my 15 yr old son, whose portfolio (by his own choice!) is 100% NEOM. Here's my take on the situation since the "buying spree":
Neomedia is a corporation with almost infinite potential, primarily based on it's IP and patents. Remember that the NEOM we kenw last year has acquired, 100%, seven other high potential, bleeding-edge tech companies. Each of these, prior to acquisition, had it's own Presidents, VP's, CIO's, CFO's, marketing gurus and Boards of Directors. I'm sure most of them thought they could have been sucessful following their own paths. For whatever reasons, unknown to us public shareholders, they chose to accept NEOM's offer to build something greater. These folks were, I'm sure, all techy, type "A" personalities--I work with people daily in and outside of my own business. I'm sure most of them had an increase in theit personal wealth by their company's being bought out, also--besides doing a Bill Gates or Mark Cuban and making it on your own, that's their dream!
I don't know, but I doubt any of the principals have retired to the beaches of "St. Somewhere," as I'd like to do, (St John or Dominica, specifically!) but are involved in whatever the management of NEOM is brewing. They are married to NEOM, I'm sure, and it's success-otherwise they wouldn't have sold.
It is very difficult to merge one company into another smoothly. My father was an expert at it, but I don't think he'd ever attempted 7 in a 2 month time span! I'm ignoring the insider sales, we all need some cash at times. I'm ignoring the silence, frustrating as it is, and putting my trust in NEOM management. I'm ignoring the drop in share value, it's now below my avg price of .26 which started with about 150000 under .10 (in a negative position now by .07 cents with 500K shares.)
I guess my point is, if you can't trust the folks that are bringing you to the big dance, it's time for you to go. Maybe there will be a buy in for you above a dollar or two, or ten. NEOM has as good or better a chance to be #1 in Mobile Marketing. I see nothing in NEOM's model to prevent this. I'm also buying another 100,000+ shares on Monday. Be patient, buy some GG and AGN and CDE with your spare cash as I've done and I'll be waiting for all of you in Vegas!
(Thanks for reading this, this was just 3 months of NEOM pain, observations, and hope in a few paragraphs)
You're right , and just an observation:
The pie charts in the "preamble" (it sure has grown in the last 2 months!) to the InvestorsHub site are from the Powerpoint presentation at the annual meeting, right? They were drawn up by NEOM. Someone else with knowledge of the Mobile Marketing universe might have drawn them differently (but I like them the way they are!) Anyone thought that these might be a ROADMAP of sorts, for NEOM's near future. We're filling in the pies almost too perfectly. Which is OK! But are they a MAP for the next week(s) month or months, from NEOM? Maybe I play too many games, but can NEOM buy both of the pies? Think about it........Where are we then????!!!!(I might be just a little unbalanced suggesting this, but I've been right with similar things before....now I have to go back to typing my son's homework!) Good Luck to us all!
Glad to see that they're concentrating on building a business model rather than getting the PR firm to hustle articles right now. BUT: a .20 (or .60!) bump in the pps from the as yet ignorant (not derogatory, this is just way under most folks radar!)) public investors would personally make me feel just fine!
You're right, thanks
Wouldn't one think that this wonderful buying spree would catch the attention of a Business Week, WSJ, Barrons, Forbes, IBD, Bloomberg TV, or some mass market publication soon? That sure would raise the general investing publics awareness of NEOM and its master plan, which should give the PPS a nice boost! (Yhis may have been brought up, I'm finding it hard to keep up with all thw quality DD and other posts!)
Veerryy Innterresting! (!) chain of posts. MSFT or GOOG or anyone sizeable might tip their hand once their pattern became obvious, right? A little far fetched, but not impossible, for NEOM to be their "tool." If so, we definitely could be in a worse position than to be in direct collaboration with one of the big boys. BTW, I did pick up another 100K shares this week, done for now unless my metals and oils free up a lot of cash again. This pie of mobile marketing is becoming ours, a few more pieces to fall into place...
GO NEOM, telling the story to all I can!!!
Picking up another 100,000 shares tomorrow, got the hunch we're not going to see under .40 anymore!
Prediction for the Stones:
I grew up in Dearborn,MI, spent the 60's 'till the mid 70s there in the music scene. No band was more popular in the Detroit area rhan the Stones, except for the Who, who did their North American debut of "Tommy" in Detroit at the Riviera Theatre. Great show, but the Stones "Beggars Banquet-Sympathy for the Devil" show at Olympia was equal--vibes were very scary at the Stones, while the Who just left one with body sized goosebumps! (Same mind state, same year, different bands)
Prediction for the halftime: 2 real oldies, sanitary, like "Time is on My Side", and one middle hit, like "You Can't Alway's Get What You Want" for the Seahawks fans!
Hi, Chartist; On the strenght of your analysis, I'm thinking of adding 100,000 to my position, but: (I know almost nothing about technical trading) how reliable are the charts when we all know the stock has been going up and down at the whims of market makers? Are they still as valid as a stock that doesn't have this "artificial" movement? Awaiting reply,
XTRALONGTEES
I agree with NeomRocket. We can get a 10x to 15x gain out of NEOM, and a 2x to 3x would be fantastic in gold/silver/platinum, unless you're doing options or commodity market trading. Nonetheless, I do have about 25% of my holdings in mining shares, specifically Newmont Mining, Hecla, Yamana Gold, and Minas Buenaventura. They have been diong well the past few months.
Link to New Zealand Coke:
http://www.thehyperfactory.com/consumer_case_studies/coke_play_cs.aspx
looks right, reduce it if it doesn't work, whole site is interesting.
OK, just for fun a poll:
(Although there isnt a way to keep track of the results!) A real in print mention of NEOM's possibilities in US News and World Report last week had no effect on share price. Which publication, print or on-line, might have a positive effect on PPS? My nominations:
Wall Street Journal
Forbes
Money
Barrons
Bus. Week
Bloomberg Markets
Investors Daily
They're all coming up, I'm sure, I can see niche markets appearing soon to be mentioned in the trade press, but let's get some major PR! That article in US News and World Report didn't appear without help by a good PR/Media person at NEOM! (and one at Scanbuy!) I know corporate PR and marketing folks and what they're hired to do, I'm betting our local papers will have the next blurbs re NEOM, then WSJ.
This decline isn't something I expected, but it's getting close to my avg price, incl getting 100,000+ shares at .08. Hope Chartist is wrong with his predicion of .09 (Will just have to buy a lot more, I guess!)
look up Coke in New Zealand promotion, not sure it used NEOM, but it linked cellphones via text to the web. I'm looking into it. Good luck everyone, and Good night!
Got mine and my son's shareholder info from TDW yesterday.
Cool it, this is normal and to be expected in a company like NEOM at its present stage. If you want profits get into XOM! Be patient with this, a very slo-mo, no go sometimes issue, that will blast off in it's own good time. The waiting is dificult, but will be worth it.
Check out p. 103 of the current 11/21/05 Business Week, bottom right. Is the link to the internet via NEOM? If so, a mention would have been HUGE! (It's Virgin Megastores)
Sorry, posted this twice, GN
Perfect, just perfect! Hit 'em straight! good night. I'm not called XTRALONGTEES for no reason! Long and straight..
Any pix from the show floor of the NEOM and MOBOT booths? Steer me to the post if I missed them,
