It won't happen...
..and we still own a chunk of it.
Absolutely Success...
Folks, this is an anonymous public forum. Friends AND FOES are here to get information.
Ditto if u need VO or audio post.
...or perhaps someone is trying hard to be aquired before that happens!
11000? That's pithy..
Neom has RFID sewn up much tighter than barcodes...
That's why I bought in the first place.
One would certainly hope our end-to-end solution has made provision for water-tight security.
If not.. then NEOM had better start thinking about it NOW.
Wow...
Flashback moment -- Just over two years ago, I was sitting in the EMAP building in London and explaining the concept of mobile barcodes to two of the managers there...
Nice to see.
SA.
When I first bought NEOM shares... it wasn't for barcodes...
It would seem odd to charge for the reader when the aim is to get it into as many hands as humanly possible...
Both yourself and Beam have valid points. I am hopeful that some middle ground will be obtained in the matter.
Unless Google become service providers themselves...
get.neoreader.com only takes me to a download for Qode v 4.0.9 (the old one!)
Someone get these guys to fix it.... yesterday!
How often do you and everyone you know surf the web on their mobile?
It's not that it won't happen eventually, it's just that realistically the timeframe is a long one. 2D barcodes will become a part of life - but the journey may not be as short as most investors would wish.
hopefully those that matter! :P
neoreader to read 7 to 10 code types by year end
Those guys are doing over 2 Billion in sales a year these days...
Does McDonalds make burgers? ;)
The Universal reader will not be fully available for a while more. They still are going through certification and making sure things are working for as many models as possible.
Radio can't work? Hmm.. I seem to remember keywords being part of the application :)
Trust me.. those are far easier to squeeze into a 30 second spot than SMS instructions!
You'll be waiting a while for any real revenue.
The business model is as embryonic as the adoption rate.
Potential is still just as enormous though.
It is indeed new Success...
And a clear sign of the emphasis on a shift in strategy to encourage adoption.
FWIW, it makes fundamental sense to this investor.
Errr... Banks they are 2 completely different things...
Whoah...
Finally! Dodge is out...
Looks like we have a real CEO for once.
Thailand is certainly outside NEOM's patent footprint
I like your thinking... :)
I would like to know if ANYONE in the PWC barcode space is earning revenues...
Something to think about...
I just recieved an RFID tag from the government here in Singapore to replace the season parking ticket I've been using for years.
It looks and feels like any regular sticker.
Now... let's hope THOSE patents are rock solid.
Data is data as far as I can tell. If you can browse the web, you can use Qode.
On another note : thank God the rest of the world doesn't have those crazy restrictions placed by their mobile providers as in the USA!
Speaking of singing... Verizon's new 'Song ID' service is rather fascinating and quite a jump for the acknowledgement of the similar technologies in the mobile space.
I still wonder why the major operators haven't forged ahead and offered their own 2d barcode services. Surely if there weren't patent issues it would have done by now.
In the country I live, all we need to do now is scan our passport, put your thumb on the little red light, and walk through....
Haha.. well said.
LOL...
Sorry, but you have a lot to learn about what constitutes an encroachment on your privacy.
For the rest of us reading: Let's put it this way... your supermarket, phone service provider, and credit card company know waaaay more about you right now than Qode ever will. Qode is no more or less an invasion of privacy than the web browser you are using right now.
Premium SMS are widespread...
The business I'm in employs over 200 such avenues for our content.
Totally agree... but it won't be long before your phone subscription IS a data plan.
GSM, CDMA and the like will become a thing of past soon enough with all voice traffic becoming VOIP via wireless internet connections. Your phone will just be another application on your mobile device. Telco's know this and are slowing things as best they can, but they cannot avoid the inevitable flat fee for EVERYTHING.... including radio, tv, internet, voice, messaging...
Qode use will (and should) be free to users.. it's the marketers and advertisers who will be providing revenue.
Consumers? Definately not.
But advertisers?
Nice ideas.
I believe they answered this in the conference call..
