Matt. I was just informed that I have recently been added as an assistant Moderator on a board without my knowledge. How do I get off that board and when can I be released from Jail, I've been here since August?
First things first..I want to know where my deleted post is that got me here in the first place. As soon as you repost it, I will follow your terms, but untill then, forget it. And by the way, I could care less about the fuel price, I use a limo service to get around....Again,I would appreciate an answer to my first question...Where is my deleted post, put it back,or have Matt look into it for me...Thanks
Madmmax
LOL,Getting a cheap hooker would have left me with a better feeling and attitude then being deleted after a great post. I posted yesterday with an open mind to whats been happening with the companys funds.. Since then, I've gotten a chance to talk to a few people who read it before it was deleted, it made perfect sense to them. How could a company sell so many units, and be the number one distributor of this product, and at the same time, say they haven't had any change in revenues. Well thats because the two companys are playing a shell game, and I wanted everyone to think about it,It may not have been the perfect excuse for whats happening, but it leave some people thinking about what was posted and with a open mind. If it is possible, I would like someone (Matt)to look into why it was deleted, and who made that discision for me. Please for what it's worth, please look into this for me. after you read it, then you will understand my anger...And about the caps, I had a point to make, seems it worked. Thanks in advance Madmmax
I want to know why I was thrown in jail for posting my opinion after my DD. It was read by several people to happened to agree with what I said. Therefore I don't understand unless someone asked for it to be pulled? It wasn't a personal attack on anyone, I felt it was good news for the company and my opinion as to why things would be going the way they were. Of course I became angry when I realized it was pulled and posted sporadically on sheer emotion!
HEY AMX, SELL SELL SELL
HEY PETER,HAVE ANY CHEAP STOCK FOR SALE...MAYBE SCMI/MMXT BAD ADVISE
HEY PETER, TIME FOR THE NEXT PR. WHERE IS IT???
HEY PETER, WHEN IS THE MERGER COMPLETED???
HEY PETER, WHERE IS MY DIVIDENDS ???
HEY PETER, WHERE IS THE REPORT,LATE AGAIN !!!
Sounds like the technology works to me... Cheap a$$ ba$tard..LOL
MediaMax Music CD DRM Woes

Jason Dunn over at Digital Media Thoughts is ready to take a sledgehammer to his new MediaMax DRM protected music CD. Reason: MediaMax requires you to download their software in order to have PC playback – of course, ripping music from the CD is out of the question.
I put the CD into my computer and immediately a MediaMax installer pops up. I thought it was some lame "enhanced media player", so I declined the EULA installer - and it ejected the CD. How curious! I put it back in, left the EULA installer open, and fired up WMP10 to rip the CD. After the first few tracks ripped, I listened to one - and it was a mash of skips and distortions. My first DRM'd CD! I looked at the CD case, and sure enough, there's a paragraph on the back of the CD that explains that the CD is protected against "unauthorized copying" and the software needs to be installed in order to play the CD on a computer. It played fine in my wife's car, but you have to install the MediaMax software to listen to it on a PC - and you can't rip it. Interestingly enough there's also no CD logo anywhere on the case - Philips must have revoked their logo because it's not a compliant CD.
I had a somewhat similar experience with a CD where I could only listen to the tracks in a Flash player (similar to those InterVideo players) that popped up every time I loaded the CD on my PC. However, I was able to copy the tracks to a CD, but the application only allowed me to save them as 128Kbps WMA (Yuck!). Luckily, for me, Tower Records was kind enough to return it when I told them I couldn't playback the CD properly on my PC.
* Princeton University's Department of Computer Science has a more in-depth article on MediaMax CD3 if you want to investigate the story a little further.

I would consider that to be very lucky for him. Withballs, do me a favor, by not geting dicourged by what you may read here. We have some bashers here that will do anything to get you to sell your investment,These folfs have no interest or investments in scmi or mmxt. Just beware of who you talk to before you make any decisions. It wont take you very long to see who your friends are.

KENCO
kenco, I have seen 1st hand on many BMG / Sony releases either on the front or back mention of SunnComm and its software. I have NOT seen ANY that mention First4Internet. Could you provide any info on which releases do indeed have First4Internet listed?
Kenco, I believe 7ny302bxv howdy was refering to this.
The big question was.Could you provide any info on which releases do indeed have first4internet listed ?
You provided some info, But you haven't provided the artist or the artist record, he or she is using it on.
Could you please provide the additional that was requested .Thanks
I need to knock it off...Sorry
To much REDBULL...LOL
Stehvestor
I also understand that when I post something I must be ready for any critical replies as well as accepting replies.
I could understand if you had made the statement in reply to the article,or the company. But that is not how I was reading it.But you attacked the poster, then the company. But for that,I am glad to hear that this has been cleared up,once and for all. I respect RoxinCa, for the work and information she has provided to this board. I would hate to loose her. She is a valuable asset to all of us. Again, Stehvestor, Thanks for clearing things up.
MADMAXX
Flydoc
Stehvestor, criticized both the poster and Sunncomm
I am really not ready to accept chat room posters who think they have inside information and get that information from derelect sources. I will not even accept as gospel a PR
from Sunncomm unless it is validated by factual information or numbers.
I can uderstand stehvestor being mad at the company, but not the poster, thats where he crossed the line.RoxinCa is not only my friend, but WAS a friend to this board. I HOPE WE HAVEN'T LOST HER.

I saw that and I saw the linked article when it read Sunncomm, so which is true? I guess if you received your email from Leigh Phillips answering what happened and why didnt the story have a retraction rather than a name change. To me that would be proof. Until then I will reserve further comment on the subject.
I couldn't agree more, Where's the retraction... We shouldn't be so quick to accuse RoxinCa with providing a great story, before the hackers got to it.
It's a shame that these people can go in and change the article, and the link.
Thanks for taking the time to respond publicly. I talked to RoxinCa late last night. she sounded like someone had taken the wind out of her sail, So sad, She didn't deserve it.It's nice to see that someone else saw the same article, before it was hacked, chopped, diced, squeezed for everything it's worth. I think the company has had alot of problems,in the past, but for the first time in a long time, they seem to be putting the food on the plate. Most people would have closed there doors along time ago...Things like this are hard to fight, day after day. We all have jobs to do,But for whats it's worth, I am glad it's them and not me doing it...So to the folks at Sunncomm, I take my hat of to you...Stay the course, your doing just fine. And if someone can do things better,Please let the rest of us know...Thanks again Stingray

TO THE INVESTORS OF THIS BOARD. YESTERDAY I WROTE A RESPONSE TO MARIO ABOUT WHO I WAS,IN A QUESTION HE HAD ASKED A WHILE AGO. I AM HERE TO TELL YOU. I WAS VISITING WITH RoxinCa AT HER OFFICE,WHEN SHE WAS PROVIDING HERE DUE DILLIGENCE FOR THIS BOARD,WHEN SHE CAME ACROSS THE ARTICLE, SHE THEN ASKED ME TO TAKE A LOOK AT IT,WE BOTH COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT WE WERE SEEING. NEWS COMING OUT OF THE UK. (UNTOUCHED)AND JUST RECENTLY POSTED FOR ALL TO SEE, NOT SOME SHITT FROM SOME CHATROOM BOARD.I PERSONALLY KNOW THAT SHE IN NO WAY WOULD TAKE THE TEXT OUT OF A POSTING, AND FINE TUNE IT TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THAT SUNNCOMM HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE ARTICLES. SHE SPENDS LOT'S OF HOURS,RIFLING THRU 1,000'S OF ARTICLES OVER A PERIOD OF TIME,JUST TO PROVIDE US WITH INTELLIGENT INFORMATION ABOUT OUR INDUSTRY. SO IN CLOSING,I JUST WANT TO SAY TO CROWD OF DISBELIEVER,WHO MIGHT BELEAVE THIS STORY WAS CONCOCTED IN SOME WAY. IAM HERE TO SAY,THAT YOU NEED TO GET YOUR HEADS EXAMANED....ENOUGH IS ENOUGH... THE TRUTH WAS THERE FOR ALL TO SEE. PERIOD

Rush Limbaugh: Copyfighter?Email This EntryPrint This Entry
Posted by Jason Schultz
Looks like Rush Limbaugh is a copyfighter at heart. Check out his rant yesterday about the restrictions on podcasting and CD copying:
RUSH: There are some things that we can't influence yet [in podcasting] like music because of copyright problems. I continue to hear from people. I guess this is just a testament you have to explain things a number of times. I continue to hear from people, "Well, other shows..."
I read that and I say, "Pfft. What other shows?"
"Other shows have music."
Uh, I don't know what to tell you, folks. We have a battery of attorneys here, and the battery of attorneys has dug deep, and they've given us their opinion on this and it's pretty deadlocked solid. There's nothing we can do about it because of the fact that if we included music, even snippets, that we would be effectively be distributing other people's property, copyrighted property without compensation. It's just that simple. Now some of you have said, "Well, now, if we download stream every day if we listen to the program live on the Internet we get the music there."
...
So here's what I did because I continue to get so much e-mail about music and the podcasts. I went to some of my partners and I said, "I want you to shoot me straight. Is this really a legal opinion or are you just telling me this because it's cheaper?" You know, I don't care. If it offends them it offends them. "I want to know the truth. Is this really the truth or are you just doing this because it's cheaper to do it this way?"
They were righteously indignant and offended and they said, "No, it has nothing to do with that. The cost is prohibitive." I mean there's no system set up for this kind of thing yet. We're away ahead of the curve to do this legally. I can't explain the people that are doing it in a way that we have been told is illegal, and I can't explain why they're doing it, and the fact that they are doing it does not give us the confidence that we could do it ourselves. We have a big legal team that's looked into this.
But I just want to tell you we're continually working on it, which at this point simply means monitoring developments in this whole copyright and piracy law. I know the Millennium Copyright Act is what this is all about, and until that's changed, none of this is going to change. In fact I just saw a story in my RSS reader today that Sony is coming out with a new system to copy-protect their CDs. There's software on their CDs that will allow a maximum of three dubs, three copies, and then it shuts down. So if somebody goes and buy a CD, they can copy it three times, but that's it and it's not on all their CDs. It's a new technology that they are embedding in the CDs, and of course the DVD industry has gotten even much tougher than the music industry has, but it's a huge deal and we have looked at it in every which way and that's what we have been told by the legal eagles. Whatever anybody else is doing out there is of no consequence to us. Based on what we have learned anybody else doing this is doing so at risk, and that's as much as I will say about it.

Hey MADMMAX what are you suggesting in post 19443 that you will be contacting the shareholders of scmi and qtig, quite specifically you said: " I will be making contact with all the shareholders regarding future plans for scmi and qtig".
whats this all about?
who are you?
Do I know you?
Does Peter know you?
whats your business here?
are you in finance or in the entertainment business?
please respond with something, it will be good to hear from you.

Finally the answer to your question:
Me and several of our family members, along with some additional investors that we brought along, have been here for a long time investing in Sunncomm stock. Holding more then a several million shares between us at that time. When I made that statement, I was pretty upset at the company for not following thru with there promises, and felt like we were being taking for some kind of a ride. So I made that public statement to get some reaction from other investors. I was more then surprised to hear from quite a few investors privately. All I needed was a forum, and this was it. I couldn't let you know what I was up to untill I got a better feel from what other investors wanted me to try. There were a few that talked me out of going thru with my plans, saying great news was coming in a few days...Boy if I hade a nickel for every time that was told to me....Then It became, wait for this, and wait for that, then it was wait for the shareholders meeting, then wait for the conference call, then it was the release of Dave Matthews Band, only to find out,it's not MM5,Then it became, wait for the Foo Fighters release,Well I guess I have waited long enough.... Just want to say Thanks for not giving up like alot of have. Now you know who I am.... Just a large investor !!!
MARIO !!! WHY THE BIG SECRETS... YOUR INVESTORS SHOW MORE DD THEN THEN THE COMPANY... TELL US MORE..PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE....SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE
Sweet music to my ears, Just had to repost it !! Thanks Again Rox!!!

EMI targets the 'mix-tape' with 'secure CD'
15/06/2005 by Leigh Phillips
Print / Email Colleague / Add Comment / Comments (0)
Is this the end of the mix-tape, or rather these days, the mix-CD?
UK record label EMI announced yesterday it plans to introduce anti-piracy technology to its CDs that will restrict consumers' ability to burn tracks to blank CDs. The technology, from Phoenix-based DRM solutions firm SunnComm, will allow CD owners to copy only three full copies of a CD's songs, and the burned discs themselves cannot be copied.
At the same time, fellow record label Sony BMG, which has already introduced similar technology to about half of its albums released in the US, announced that it is to extend the security to all of its American releases by the end of the year.
The technology also prevents CDs from being transferred to an iPod.

Hello, Food for thought. Has anyone tested the latest release's that are using MM3 for protection,to see if the shift key problem still exist.Management told us the shift key problem no longer a issue with MM5,So being this is a software program, who's to say that Tech Department hasn't gone back and rewriten the entry point of the MM3 software, Taking the fix from MM5 and moving it over to MM3 and leaving everything else the same....And thats why the record company's have been so happy with Media Max 3.... Just a thought !!! Or did I miss something ???
I agree with the both of you, No stopping us NOW !!!!
Sony BMG outfits CDs to deter music copying
By Jeff Leeds The New York Times
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15, 2005
NEW YORK The world's second-biggest music corporation is unveiling its latest answer to digital piracy.
The company, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, which is owned by Sony and Bertelsmann, is outfitting a broad selection of its latest CDs with software that restricts copying. Its use of the software, designed to allow consumers to make no more than three copies of a CD, reflects an effort to alter a format that is two decades old and contains music that can be readily copied and digitally distributed.
With the release of more than two dozen copy-restricted titles so far this year, including albums on sale Tuesday from the Backstreet Boys, the Foo Fighters and George Jones, Sony BMG is placing a bigger bet on the technology than other companies have, particularly in the United States, the world's biggest market. Sony BMG, which is second to the Vivendi Universal-owned Universal Music Group, and the two other major record companies have been releasing CDs with anticopying software in other countries. But executives at Sony BMG's rivals have been reluctant to release titles with the restrictive software in the United States. They said the software was too easily defeated and that working versions did not allow consumers to transfer music to portable devices and music players as freely as the industry would like.
The companies have been pressing Apple Computer to amend its software to make it compatible with the tools used to restrict copying.
The restrictive software that Sony BMG is using on CDs, as it did this year with "Stand Up" by the Dave Matthews Band, is not compatible with Apple's popular iPod. Owners of Apple computers using iPods are able to copy and transfer music on the restricted compact discs freely; the restrictions block PC owners from transferring music to their iPods. But it does work with computers using Microsoft's Windows software.
Thomas Hesse, president for digital business at Sony BMG, said Apple could "flick a switch" to amend its programming to work with the restrictive software. "It's just a proprietary decision by Apple to decide whether to play along or not," he said. "I don't know what more waiting we have to do. We think we need to move this forward. Time is ticking, infringement of intellectual property is happening all over, and we've got to put a stop to it, I think."
Apple declined to comment.
Mike McGuire, an analyst at Gartner G2, said the move by Sony BMG "looks to me like a very interesting public negotiation."
In fact, consumers requesting help through a Web site set up by Sony BMG to explain the technology receive an e-mail message telling how PC users can work around the CD's software to unlock the music files and make them available for unlimited copying and transferring.
Music executives say the restricted CDs released so far - like BMG's sale of Velvet Revolver's "Contraband," last year - have resulted in virtually no complaints. But analysts say that may be because consumers still have such an easy time breaking the restrictions or acquiring the music for on unrestricted online file-sharing networks.
Still, Hesse said the introduction of limits on CDs would set the stage for record companies to establish new business models. For instance, Hesse said, a record company using restrictive software might be able to charge a premium for early online release of an album. Hesse said the restricted CDs were "a strong educational tool to communicate to consumers that there is a limit on what they're really allowed to do with the intellectual property that they have just acquired."
